There's tons of guns there... shouldn't it be the safest place around?

My daughter is 13 months old... and she was crying too loudly when I was trying to sleep, so I spanked her. She was making some wheezing noises for a minute, but then she stopped crying, so I put her in her crib to sleep. I went back the next morning, and her skin is a different color and she is kind of limp. How do I wake her up?

Think about it. Fans boo Cena because they're sick of a catch-phrase spouting steakhead with limited wrestling ability, and okay mic skills. Cena is probably upset about the boos that he gets... and the company probably wants to keep their top guy happy, right?

How do you do that? Introduce a guy with even less wrestling skills, no mic skills, and push him down our throats.

So, this past weekend, I made a new "friend" on a business trip. This girl was into some pretty rough stuff, and she left some battle scars on my chest and scratched my back up pretty good.

The problem is that I'm married. We're living together, but haven't kissed, touched, or had sex in over a year. She's openly seeing other people. I'm saving for a new place/new start, but that's months off.

She's also still insanely jealous. She would flip if she saw my back/chest, she'd throw me out. How should I deal with this?

The full story:

I have 3 dogs. I have a pretty large, fenced yard. Next door, is a church parking lot. In that lot, there were about half a dozen kids playing hockey in the lot before dark. The oldest kid was probably 8. There were no parents present.

I walked outside because my dogs were going crazy (which isn't typical). I saw two of the kids taunting my dogs, and throwing rocks. When they saw me, they ran away. I hopped the fence, and saw the house they ran into. I knocked on the door, and a woman answered. I told her that her what her child did, and she told me that I should keep my dogs inside, and she closed the door in my face.

I love my dogs, more than I like any little brat, so I called the police, who came, and refused to do anything, even take a report, and gave me an attitude for, "wasting his time."

So, I'm annoyed, I want justice, and I expect these kids to come back again sometime. My thoughts have ranged from things that would get me thrown in jail, to absurd and immature (printing out Anal **** and Insane Clown Posse lyrics and leaving them where the kids will find them).

Now, my largest dog (a 120 pound great dane) seems scared to leave the porch and go into HIS yard. I haven't found any bruises on any of the dogs, but I'm ******* pissed.

TLDR: caught kids throwing rocks at my dogs. Parents nor police care.

How do I get justice, without embarrassing myself? I've thought about recording them, if they come back, but I'm concerned it could land me on some kind of "list."

Think about it like this:

Laws preventing gay marriage are pushed from various religious organizations, that cannot be argued. It's documented fact.

There are churches who are happy to marry two men or two women.

So in a state, where marriage between two people of the same sex is considered illegal, how is this not a case of the government showing preference of one religion over another?

I do. I think that it should be illegal to have more children while you're supposedly struggling.

They need to bring back housing projects (rather than Section 8 vouchers, which are accepted in some luxury apartment buildings). This will prevent neighborhoods from going down the Section 8 toilet.

They need to bring back "shame stamps" (rather than debit cards and cash assistance) and government cheese lines. Things like toilet paper and diapers should be purchased with food stamps. The "EBT" method should be abolished, because it makes the people that use these benefits think that they're worth the same as someone who uses cash or a real bank card.

Benjamin Franklin said it best: “The best way to help the poor is to make them uncomfortable in their poverty.”

In the Super Bowl, the winning QB will often talk about how god gave him the power to throw a winning touchdown, however, when they interview the losing team, you never hear a guy say, "god made me drop the pass."

Why is this?

Many people who are religious believe in censoring violent music, video games, and movies, because it can corrupt the "innocence of children." Most Christians also believe that each of us is born with sin.

Using that logic, how can children be innocent, when they're born sinners? Going a step beyond that, if we've established that children are not innocent, why do groups with Christian backing, like the Parents Television Council attempt to censor media?

Isn't it essentially the same thing?

The right is against "gay marriage" (I use it in quotes, because there is no gay marriage... just like there's no gay parking, gay eating, or gay any other verb) because it goes against years of tradition.

However, the right fought, and fights to this day, to protect the fraudulent version of the Pledge of Allegiance, which was crafted by the Knights of Columbus in the 50's under rampant McCarthyism, as opposed to the version written by Francis Scott Key in 1892: "I pledge allegiance to my flag and the Republic for which it stands -- One nation indivisible -- with liberty and justice for all."

Why, if they're being intellectually consistent, would you reject gay marriage, based on religious tradition, while supporting a version of the Pledge that was brazenly changed for political gain?
