  • Need help with indoor plant watering PLEASE?

I am new to growing indoor plants. I currently have a African Violet, Birds Nest Fern, Hoya Plant and Red Prayer Plant. All appear to be very healthy and growing well. I've had them for a month or so and can defiantly see new growth. I've done a lot of research and read about each type of plant I own. The Prayer Plant was re-potted into African Violet soil as I read articles on this being a good soil for it and the Hoya plant in Miracle Gro Organic Soil. I water them every week to week and a half, have them in good draining pots and water them til the water runs through amd let them drain. My problem is I bought a Burpee Moisture Meter and it has me so confused. It is reading readings of 8.8 on my Hoya and 9.9 on my Prayer Plant. I guess I don't understand because I haven't watered them for a few days but seem to daily be getting the high readings? Can anyone please tell me what i'm doing wrong? Are these moisture readers reliable and how much water should I be watering? Thank you in advance.

I also know that science diet was boughgt by proctor and gamble so thats out too. I am beyond frustrated.

  • I need help with a medical condition?

Long story short my son is severely autistic. He has been taking prozac and seroquel for some time now. I tried to get him taken off the prozac but that's the whole nother story. Anyways, I went to see his pediatrician because he was sick and he always looks up the meds (antibiotics) that he prescribes to make sure they won't interact with any other meds my son takes. He was alarmed when he saw that my son had been taking seroquel and prozac together for sometime now and ordered an EKG. Apparently this is a really bad combination and causes heart problems. He is also referring him to a Pediatric Cardiologist (my son is only 8.) He says that the meds together cause some type of heart problems and he used a word that was 3 letters long and said ut was a type of heart rhythm. I want to do research but cannot remember what the 3 lettered heart rhythm was. Does anyone have any ideas? I thought it may have been ETC but I know that can't be right. Any help is appreciated.

    Thank you

  • I need a mechanics help please?

I have a 06 mazda tribute. I don't have any problems except when it gets a little cooler outside and it has been sitting outdoors. The car will start fine and the brake works but you can't push the gas. Not even a little bit it is locked in the upward position. If you wait a few minutes and really push it down all of a sudden it will loosen and go back to normal. Can anyone tell me what this could be please? I had the same problem last year when it was cooler outside. Also I live in florida so no snow or really cold weather.

    Thank you everyone

  • I need help with my new coral in my salt water aquarium PLEASE?

I bought a beautiful Toadstool Leather Coral. Looks just like this one:

    http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_display.cf...

I have other corals and my tank has been set up forever. All the water parameters are pristine. The first two days in my tank this coral looked fine. Well yesterday I noticed that the stem had a lot of brown spots on it and it appeared to be almost slothing (losing a layer of skin?) Today I noticed that it had the brown spots even on the top of the coral. Is it dead? Again, I have never had any problems with any corals I have ever tried to keep. I read that the coral stinks but if its dead it just smells awful. I have smelled a dead snail and let me tell you that was god awful..puke! This coral doesn't smell great but it defiantly doesn't smell dead. Should I toss it or let it be? Is it dying? Again It just looks like a thick brown layer of skin its covered in that's peeling off. I appreciate any help?

  • Bottom Feeder for my Cold Water Aquarium?

Hi everyone, I have a 5 gallon mini bow aquarium with filter, light, live plant, the works = ) It is currently housing 2 tiny rosy red minnows and 1 tiny goldfish. I was going to put a betta in the tank but felt sorry for the feeder fish so ended up getting them. The 3 fish to include the goldfish are half an inch to 3/4 of an inch, very small. I have had large aquariums in the past and have a 55 gallon saltwater so I know that when the goldfish starts growing I will need to find him a new home with a pond. For now he is happy though. My question is what type of bottom feeder could go in this tank? I have had cory catfish but know they have to be kept in groups and really was looking for something very hardy and that doesn't need to be in groups do to the size of the tank. Also, has to be able to be in a cold water tank that stays around 72 degrees.

Thank you everyone for your help

  • I had a D&C and Hysteroscopy?

I had a d&c and a hysteroscopy on last thursday (4 days ago.) I was sore but not horribly. I noticed though that my stomach was kinda hard and buldging. Tonight I am having awful lower abdominal pain and feel like my stomach is going to explode. I am thinking that this could be gas pain?? Is thos normal to have? I am still bleeding some but from what I read this is normal but my lower abdomen and lower back is killing me. Any advice would be appreciated. Also I wasn't pregnant or I dodn't have a miscarriage. They did it to check cysts and check for cancer.

    Thank you
