  • fashion police?

Does anyone remember Grace Kelly or Elizabeth Taylor and the way they looked in their clothes? It kills me on Fashion Police how these people wear extremely expensive designer gowns yet they have no poise. These famous stunning women stand around with their ankles two feet apart and their knees locked and they just look like hell. There's no outfit in the world that could make up for lousy posture. Why don't their managers get them into modeling classes so they don't show up on the red carpet looking like dumb little girls playing dress up? Really, someone should tell them how awful they look...no class at all.

  • How to de-stink stinky sandals?

My daughter loves this pair of sandals. They have suede soles and they stink to high heaven. Once she has them on and they start to get a little damp, the smell will curl your hair. Does anyone have a fool proof method of dealing with impossibly stinky shoes?

  • can someone please help me with dogs that have itchy skin?

My dogs have been itching for 2 months. They do not have:

    *dry skin---no flakes, no redness

    *no evidence of fleas, etc.

They just turn suddenly as though they have been bitten and start scratching or biting part of their bodies. One is a terrier mix, and the other is a poodle. I have bathed them both with a shampoo for itchy skin and also had them groomed. Have not been able to catch a flea with a flea comb nor noted any evidence of biting insects. These are indoor dogs about 2 years old and in superb health. They are on the same grain-free chow for the past year and live in a clean home. Carpet is professionally cleaned about every 3 months. Skin carefully assessed for dermatitis and nothing stands out to warrant a visit to the vet. Have noted some old posts where yeast flakes and fish oil capsules have helped.

What should I do for these itchy dogs? Does anyone else have experience treating this?

  • how to reduce dog odor in yard?

I have 2 dogs--one is medium size and the other is small. My back yard is gravel and cedar mulch with lots of plants and flowers. I have had my dogs for a year, and despite cleaning up after them, my yard has become very smelly. The gravel area on the side of the house is especially bad.

Does anyone have a solution? Is there a product that can be applied to the ground to eliminate odor that won't poison plants---or my dogs? Would flooding the entire area help?

  • Recording Dish DVR memory onto DVD?

I have a Dish satellite HDMI DVR recorder and the memory is nearly full. I want to record these programs to DVD, but do not have a DVD recorder. My home theater system is a Sony and it has a DVD player, but does not record.

Can I add a DVD recorder to this system without messing up my Sony home theater system? Would it just plug into the Dish receiver or would it plug into the Sony?

I have also considered getting an external hard drive as that is what Dish customer service said I could do, but don't know how it would work with my TV and how do I move programs off the DVR onto the HD without a PC?

If you get what I mean here, please let me know what your thoughts are. Thanks.

  • Brown tear stains on silver poodle?

Does anyone know what to do about brown tear stains on a silver grey poodle. They don't come off with dog shampoo. I have noticed that a product called "Angel Eyes" is available at the pet store, but there is no reference to anything but white dogs. Would it be safe to use on a grey poodle without causing his hair to go white?

Would appreciate any suggestions from you poodle people out there. Thanks.

  • I have a DVR from Dish network?

and have many recordings I would like to keep. My DVR space is getting used up, and I want to know if there is a gadget out there that will allow me to move my recordings off the DVR so I can free up space for more recordings. Can anyone tell me if there is any such animal? Thanks in advance.

  • how to set up this problem?

I am auditing some work and can't remember how to set up the numbers to obtain percentages.

For example, I have 5 categories, and all correct answers get a 1 and incorrect answers get a 0. So at the end of the columns, I have totals for each line (say a possible 12 lines per category) so some total 12, and a couple of columns have 9 or 10 out of 12.

I need to calculate all of the numbers to get a percentage. Can someone please tell me how?

    Thanks.

  • Why can't hybrid cars recharge as they drive...?

Can't the turning wheels also generate power to be stored in the batteries? It just seems like they could be like little turbines as they roll down the highway so they would never really run out of power.

  • My friend's wife talks often to her ex-boyfriend...?

These folks are in their late 30s and have been married before. My friend (let's call him Joe) still feels uncomfortable with this. Joe has told his wife how he feels, but she says there is nothing for him to worry about. Since the ex-boyfriend is also married, Joe wonders how this other man's wife feels about him calling an ex-girlfriend all the time. I certainly wouldn't be happy about it.

The ex- knows that Joe is not comfortable with him calling, so he calls Joe's wife on her cell phone while she is away from home. Isn't that disrespectful of him? Surely as a husband, this guy would probably feel the same way that Joe does if his wife was on the phone all the time with an ex-boyfriend.

Joe has made his feelings known to his wife, but she insists that he should not worry and has offered to invite the couple over for dinner so they could meet. Joe isn't very interested in doing this. But he also does not want to feel distrustful of his wife or appear to be a control freak by putting his foot down. I contend that his wife is not hearing him and is ignoring his feelings (he feels the same way). Personally, I would not want my spouse seeing someone he has carnal knowledge about, and cannot think of any spouse who would be OK with that kind of relationship. Plus, I wouldn't be too happy about having my feelings and wishes ignored by my spouse.

What do you think? Is Joe just being distrustful or a control freak? Would it be OK with you?

  • Cat pees all over the house...?

She is about 7 years old and I got her at a shelter about 2 years ago. She has been peeing where she wants the whole time, but I never catch her doing it so I can correct her.

She respects foil, so areas where she has been peeing are covered with foil so she won't return. Pretty soon, the whole house will look like George Jetson's and she will just find somewhere new to go.

Have another cat, 2 boxes that are kept clean. Any ideas on what might be her problem and how to fix it? I hate to take her back to the pound because she is so affectionate and funny...
