  • A question about breast feeding and storing breast milk.?

Ok my son is about to be a brand new daddy. The problem is, he is no longer with the mom to be. She has made it very clear that she does not want my son to have time with his daughter. We will take care of that with the friend of the court. But here's the situation we are anticipating. She is planning on breast feeding the baby. Now I know she has a breast pump and breast milk bottles. So How long will breast milk last in these bottles (refridgerated)? How many bottles would she be able to prepare if we wanted the baby for the weekend? Is it possible to have a decent amount of breastmilk available for us to have the baby for at least a few days at a a time? I bottle fed both my boys so I really I'm not sure how the whole breast feeding thing works. And also if we had to, is there any way we could use some formula in place of breastmilk?? Which formula do you think would be a substitute if any? Will the baby accept a bottle after she has been breastfed? Any knowledgeable advice would be appreciated...Thanks.

  • "under"employment question?

I work part time as a breakfast hostess/housekeeper at a hotel. I have inquired a few times about collecting underemployment in the off months or seasons when the hotel drastically slows down. The head housekeeper has stated that the owner would never let that happen. My question is, under Michigan state law I'm I entitled and within my right to file for underemployment? I have worked at this hotel for 7 months and have never missed a day of work or refused to work.

  • potty training 8 month old Boxer dog?

We are at wits end! We got our dog from a friend who kept her in a kennel alot because kids did not want to bother with her and mom worked alot. Now at 8 months she is totally untrained. We try to watch her and when she makes a "mistake" in the house we say NO and send her outside stating "outside potty" ..When we have to leave the house and put her in the kennel she still urinates in the kennel. We walk her and have her out playing alot and still the minute we get in the house she still deficates in the house....This is getting costly and time consuming! My son loves her but even he is getting frustrated. Any help would be appreciated.....

  • Tarot cards? Are they a representation of evil?

O.K. I now that Tarot cards to some people represent the occult and evil things. I feel that using my tarot cards helps me channel my inner psychic self. I am a Christian and I do go to church. I do not practice any occult activities. I do have certain friends who think that the tarot cards are pure evil. I believe in dream analysis as well. And I truly feel like the cards help me channel a God given inner psychic ability. What is your take on this subject?? I do know that the origin of the Tarot was NOT associated in any way with occultism. I'm I wrong in thinking that this is a harmless activity?? Does anyone have experiences or stories on this subject??

  • filing bankruptcy question?

My boyfriend has been planing on filing bankruptcy. He cannot afford the cost this month but was saving up. His ex-wife comes along and offered to "include" him when she files this month. She has never been known to do anything that won't benefit her in some way. So my question is what is the difference if any if he files on his own or with his ex-wife?? They do have bills that are in both their names as well as separate past due bills. Is there any loop hole that she may have found to corner my boyfriend in somehow??? They have one minor child together but she will receive the tax credit for her. he is paying child support for this child..

  • New show Hot in Cleveland or just NOT hot?

Saw the new show Hot In Cleveland..I do not mean to be critical but there was NOTHING hot about it..except of coarse for the one true comedian and talent on there...Ms. Bettie White the only ray of hope that whole show has...The dialogues and plot were pathetic....It is sad because all the actresses have done fairly well in there own right. But in my opinion this show sucks..What do you think???

  • Young son hearing voices or just stressed?

My 12 year old son has recently told me he is hearing sounds or maybe voices (he is not sure) in his head. It only happens when he is relaxing. He is an extremely active child and is an A student and is very active with his basketball team. I wonder if he is just overly stressed or a more serious problem. There is no known history of any mental illness in our family, and this just stared two weeks ago. About the same time his homework piled up and basketball season began. He has no other signs or symptoms at this time. But obviously I am very worried about him. I do NOT want to take him to a doctor who might just hand him some pills and misdiagnose him. Does anyone have any experiance in this matter??

  • 100 mile radius law (minor child) question and advice?

We live in the state of Michigan, my friend will be divorced in a few months and has one minor child in common with his soon to be ex-wife. The wife is know claiming she has a possible job offer making quite a bit of money about 4 hours away from her present residence. My friend is wondering if the 100 mile radius law will hold up and she will NOT be allowed to move their minor child so far away. They do have joint-custody, he pays child-support and has been employed at his present job for several years. The soon to be ex is the one that filed for the divorce. My friend cannot afford a lawyer but loves his child very much and does not want this move to happen...Please help with any sound legal advice or reference material..Thank-you in advance....
