  • Is it medically recognized as possible to only suffer the "obsessive" aspect of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder?

I come from a family that suffers from various psychological disorders and my younger brother swears he suffers from OCD. Knowing my brother, I found this difficult to believe. Seeing as I had found his claim hard to believe, I decided to do some research on the symptoms of OCD and realized that there are actually a set of symptoms in regards to the obsessive aspect of the disorder and then there are a set of symptoms in regards to the compulsive part and that a person suffering from OCD uses the compulsions to alleviate the obsessions that manifest in their head.

Then I began to read off the symptoms for the obsessive part of the disorder (Also referred to as "unwanted/intrusive thoughts")

Constant, irrational worry about dirt, germs, or contamination/Excessive concern with order, arrangement, or symmetry./Fear that negative or aggressive thoughts or impulses will cause personal harm or harm to a loved one.-Preoccupation with losing or throwing away objects with little or no value./Excessive concern about accidentally or purposefully injuring another person./Feeling overly responsible for the safety of others./Distasteful religious and sexual thoughts or images./Doubting that is irrational or excessive.

...and I realized that I have REGULARLY experienced every last one of these symptoms since I was in my teens (I'm 28 now), except I don't recall having an issue with compulsions of any kind, not even once. Is it possible to suffer from just part of the disorder?

  • What do you think of my Fantasy Baseball Mock Draft Team?

This was a 10-team H2H points league mock draft. In this draft, I decided to wait on position players and go pitching heavy instead. Honestly, I am actually pretty pleased with the outcome. I might take this strategy into the season. What do you think? (Rd. 17 - Rd. 22 are bench players)

1st Rd. (3rd) (SP) Clayton Kershaw

2nd Rd. (18th) (SP) Max Scherzer

3rd Rd. (23rd) (SP) Yu Darvish

    4th Rd. (38th) (1B/OF) Mark Trumbo

5th Rd. (43rd) (SP) Cole Hamels

6th Rd. (58th) (SS) Jean Segura

7th Rd. (63rd) (1B) Albert Pujols (Fell surprisingly low)

    8th Rd. (78th) (1B) Adrian Gonzalez

9th Rd. (83rd) (OF) Wil Myers

    10th Rd. (98th) (2B/3B/OF) Martin Prado

11th Rd. (103rd) (SP) Shelby Miller

    12th Rd. (118th) (RP/Cl) Jim Johnson

  • How do I stop one pet cat (smaller/younger) from bullying and hoarding food from the other cat (bigger/older)?

My girlfriend has two house cats and the cats are not siblings. One of them is older than the other and the younger one, although I do not believe it to be MUCH younger, appears to have been the runt of its litter, considering it is quite smaller than the other. Yet, despite its size, the younger one always seems to be terrorizing the older cat. Not only that, it is also seemingly trying to steal the bigger cats food. I say this, because at first, we would pour the food all in one bowl assuming that they would share, yet the little cat would push away and get in the way of the big cat and the big cat would seemingly get aggravated and walk away.

For instance, just this morning, I go to get the food and the big one is there right away (as she sees what I am doing), so I pour a bowl and as soon as the little cat hears it from across the house, she starts running for it; so I tell her no and she stops. However, the big cat has now refused to come any closer to the bowl since I assume that she knows the other cat is coming for it. (Mind you, the little cat was trying to sneak closer each time I looked away.)

Then I decided to split it. I left some in the bowl and then put some on the plate for the larger cat. Afterwards, I set that plate around the corner of the fridge from where the bowl was and the larger cat finally walked up and started eating. Then I let the little cat come up and she initially went for the closest source of food (the bowl), but as soon as she realized that the big cat was eating too, she immediately pushed her out of the way and started eating from the big cats plate instead. Therefore, I had to put her in another room and close the door. Once I returned, I brought the big cat back over and she finally got to eat while the little cat continuously whined for the next 5 minutes. Then, when the bigger cat finished, I let the other cat out and instead of going for the closer bowl, she automatically ran for the plate that she knew the bigger cat was previously eating at and started chowing down, so I took it away and placed it on top of the fridge while directing her back to the bowl and she started eating that instead.

Where I get hung up is that; you'd think if it was a matter of hunger, she'd go for the closest option possible, no?

Now, I guess you might be wondering, are these cats fed? YES, they are. In the past day, I split a can of wet food between them and I've filled the bowl two or three times with dry cat food (The last time I filled the bowl was the incident in question and that was twenty minutes ago.) The thing is, I am almost willing to bet that I could pour more in there right now and that little cat would be running over despite just eating.

With the story explained, my question is this: How do I stop the little cat from doing that other than constantly separating her from the big cat so she can eat? Does this little cat have some sort of cat version of a, "Napoleon Complex"? Is it natural for a little cat to try and hoard all of the food from a bigger cat? (Don't forget, I said the little cat is younger, but I don't think she is much younger...I think she is just much smaller because she was a runt, yet I thought a runt becomes as such because they aren't "strong" enough to compete for food as a kitten. With that said, I am confused as to how she would be muscling away a much bigger cat now unless there was some sort of Napoleon Complex for cats...LOL.)

Any helpful information as to how to solve this? Thanks!

  • 2005 Dodge Neon SXT intermittent knocking and grinding issue? HELP!?

Hello, my girlfriend is experiencing a couple of issues with a 2005 Dodge Neon SXT (Automatic Transmission) When I am driving it straight, I will occasionally get an intermittent knocking sound as I accelerate. For instance, I just took it on a 5 mile trip and it was knocking for a little while when I started driving, then towards the end of the trip, it did it a few times more, but it is certainly not a continuous noise. This is not a rhythmic knocking sound either and it is very annoying. Additionally, when I begin to brake, especially at low speeds, I hear a rhythmic grinding sound (It is not a constant sound, more like *Grind* stop *Grind* stop *Grind* stop with each full wheel rotation.) The slower the car is moving, the louder the grinding sound is. Also, once I come to about a complete stop, I feel a single knock in the brake pedal occasionally.

NOTE: I am not experiencing any issues when it comes to turning or braking. Meaning, aside from the noises, I still have full braking power and control of the vehicle. Additionally, some work was done to the rear passenger side brake drum because the rear brake kept locking up and the person that did the job happened to make a mistake by adjusting it too tightly, but that problem was remedied. These new noises coming from back there happened to arise about a week ago after I hit a bump in the road.

Also, the rear brakes were replaced about 10 months - 12 months ago.

With that said, any possible idea as to what this may be? The only thing I can see upon a simple visual inspection is that it seems like one of the lug nuts seems kind of crooked, maybe even the stud is slightly bent; I am not sure.

  • Who carries your casket when there isn't a single person that loves you?

The thought just randomly crossed my mind as I was watching a show in which pall bearers were carrying a casket out of the funeral home. I know that, typicially, family members and/or close friends are the pall bearers, but what happens if there is no one that cares about you? Who carries the casket? I mean, I imagine if there is no one that cares enough to carry your casket, there really wouldn't be anyone at the service either, so do they even go through a ceremony in that instance?

I forsee these situations possibly taking place in the case of a serial killer or hated dictator.

  • If penis enlargement pills do not work, how are they allowed to be sold?

I mean, I hear commercials on the radio and see them on TV all the time and they all claim to enlarge your penis, but every medical doctor on the planet will tell you that they do not enlarge the penis none whatsoever. However, millions upon millions of men buy this crap every day. How does such a company get away with this? What is the loop hole that allows them to practically lie about a product when it is the lie itself that is making them millions of dollars? I want to get in on this business!

  • Police Officers Pulling Over Crooked?

After a discussion about some harrassment I received from a local county sheriff and local city police officers, my friend brought up how when cops pull you over, some will pull over crooked to prevent the dash camera from seeing their actions. Now, I had noticed them doing that a lot lately myself, but do you believe that circumventing the dash cam is the reason why as well? I'm asking this in such a way to receive opinion-based answers because, as if it were true, I certainly doubt an officer would admit it. I think that it certainly makes sense though.

  • Are you charged twice for luggage if you have to take a connector flight to reach your destination?

A friend of mine has to take two flights enroute from Florida to Ohio and is worried that she might have to pay for luggage costs twice. Although I highly doubt that she would have to, I'm not completely positive. Does anybody know?

  • Having a really hard time remembering a video game for the PS 1 or PS2, help?

I can't even remember much about the game either. All I know is that it was similar to Resident Evil gameplay and you played a character that seemed to have some sort of telekinetic power. I specifically remember a scene where you are escaping a testing lab or hospital and there is blood on the walls and what not. I also pretty sure you had to inject yourself with something every so often in order to gain your powers. I also want to say that the main character had silverish hair, but I am not positive. Any ideas?

  • Do some of you really have nothing better to do than scour Yahoo Answers all day?

I just ask this because I was taking a look at the "U.S. Leaderboard" and realized that one person had 74,000 answers with 67,154 being the best answer (So I assume the voted for themselves A LOT) and then after doing the math I realized that they were averaging 47 answers every day for, approximately, the past 3 years...and that person isn't the only one! This leads me to wonder, do these people have nothing better to do? Do they get some sort of rush out of getting the best answer or having a lot of points? I don't get it.

  • How is it possible to fear, but not fear death?

It seems as though I live my life in some sort of fear, but I do not fear death in the least. I could really care less about death and some might even say I am racing towards it.

  • Why does my car's (98' Escort SE) steering jerk when the transmission shifts?

I have a 98' Ford Escort SE with an automatic transmission and it tends to jerk the steering wheel to the right when the transmission shifts. It usually happens when shifting from 1st to 2nd and/or 3rd to 4th, rarely do I feel anything at 50mph+. Additionally, I can also feel some sort of tension that builds up in the steering, while accelerating, before the car jerks. Once it jerks, the steering feels fine and it only seems to happen again when I go from a dead stop and then accelerate. Any idea what is causing this?
