Me and my mom wanted to try a Google video call before I study abroad. We were in the same room. Mom was on a smartphone. I was on my laptop. We started the call. We tried it for a few minutes. There was some seconds of lag but nothing abnormal. Then, we hear this strange, low loud sound on her phone, like a growl. It startled us. We dismissed it. Then a low voice comes in and says things we can't make out. There are periods of silence but it speaks intermittently and this goes on for a few minutes. It's never a full-blown sentence but chunks. Mom asks it questions "Where are you?" and sometimes it answers, but it is again unintelligible. At one point, we hear what sounds like two low barks of a dog maybe? A low laugh? I say maybe if we stop talking to it it will stop talking to us, and the phone call ends. I make her call me again, and when I answer it, her phone SCREACHES. She shuts it off and goes to bed.

So I was wondering if anyone else had similar experiences & what the cause could be? At first I thought it was just extreme lag from my video, & w/ lag maybe the voices slow down & make it sound low, but it should have been consistent, & not reply to my mother at all.

-Why was it on only her phone & not my laptop? Even the voice didn't deliver to my laptop?

-can someone hack into it like this, and disconnect our call too? Who would do that and how could they do it? It was no language I could place, but it was definitely a voice.

-Any rational explanation welcome.

Every now and then, my cat(5 years old, healthy, fixed) will stretch one of his arms out and move it around up and down slowly like something is wrong for a couple minutes. He will not move otherwise while doing this. I do not know if this movement is voluntary, or if maybe he just slept on it wrong and was trying to fix it. Then something which I think may be related happened.

The other day my cat struck this odd catatonic pose, (like he was possessed). His tail and legs curled up and he held that position, frozen, for about 2 minutes. I just heard about it today and I don't know what to do or if I should be worried. Do cats do this sometimes? Could there be something neurologically wrong with my cat like a tumor? I have been around cats my whole life and never encountered this and it's scaring me. thank you for any help

Now hear me out. As we progress in the Naruto series, we come to find that the ninja system is not a sustainable one. Jinchurikis, war, paranoia, and ultimately, bloodshed and large-scale destruction are a result of this system. I think Naruto as well as others*cough ObitoMadaraNagatoeveryone else cough* are all beginning at last to realize this. You don't think he would become Hokage only to uphold this system, do you?

Hello Humans! I have a few questions I would love to have answered by anyone knowledgable in the trans* area. None are meant to be demeaning or disrespectful and are purely to generate a better understanding as a "cigender" person!

My understanding is that gender is a social role based on sex. A female has a gender role as a woman, and a male has a gender role as a man, regardless of femininity or masculinity. Am I correct or incorrect? I mean to say that my belief is that 'how one does gender' is a choice, but 'gender' itself is assigned and unchanging. (ex. I am a woman whether I wear boxers and pants and go to truck pulls or dress like a princess and have high tea.) Please expand on this, if possible!

Why do trans people who want/advocate for sex reassignment surgery to match their perceived gender, yet also state that gender is independent of sex?

Doesn’t a person who is male that claims they are a woman (who dresses in dresses and wears lipstick) perpetuate the stereotype/binary that woman must be feminine? Why can’t they accept the notion that they are a man who happens to like dressing in dresses and doing other feminine things? I mean to say that if I had a penis, I wouldn’t fuss but accept that I’m a MAN who likes stereotypical FEMININE things. What make a person refuse the gender role assigned to them?

People say they are “born in the wrong body.” Is there any evidence to suggest this? How could one be born in the wrong body if, as claimed, gender is but a social construct?

All of these questions are in earnest and are meant to further my understanding of “trans.” Thanks in advance!

Whenever there are bugs in my house, they gravitate towards me without fail. I literally try to sneak around them, but when they catch sight of me their little antennae stick up and they head straight toward me. I don't have fragrances that would draw them, and other family members don't have this problem. I even wake up with bugs on my face or in my bed with me! Does anyone else have this problem? What is a possible cause or solution? Yelling at them doesn't seem to help. Thank you!

I always am scratching myself. I will scratch my head and back and face with my nails until I realize I'm bleeding. I have been doing it for years and now I realize I am doing it when I am waking up, half awake, bleeding. Any imperfections or bumps or unsmooth skin is scratched at. It's gross!

Before I seek professional advice, I was wondering if any of you have similar experiences or could guess why I am doing this or how to stop? I don't like if for the blood or pain and it's embarrassing because I may scratch myself in public without really being conscious of it.

Sometimes after I hang up with someone or I am dialing someone or just pick up the phone, I can hear voices on the other end. I don't have a cordless phone. I am confident my house is not haunted, haha. Sometimes it's louder and clearer than others. Sometimes the voice is a man, or a woman, or in a different language(I think it was Spanish). It's loud enough to hear but too faint to make out. Just wondering why this could be. Thanks for legitimate replies!

I recently bought Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories for my PS2. At the first save point of the game there is a problem. When I try to save it, it gives me a window that says there is insufficient memory card space, 100kb needed(I have 2700kb free space!). I tried Slot 2, and that didn't work either. None of my other games have problem saving.

I have the first Kingdom hearts game saved there, too.
