  • Illegal Favortism of Relatives?

So my husband works for a plumbing company, in California, he's been there 2 years, he's been a commercial plumber for 10 years. A new manager took over, he's been manager for about 6 months or so. Shortly after he became manager he hired 2 of his brothers. (In the company handbook it clearly states that you can not hire relative If you will be above them, there's a point already) One of them came from bath fitters company (with no commercial plumbing experience) and the other brother has maybe 4 years experience with a crap plumbing company (no pun intended ha) So right away the manager was having the brothers run jobs while some of the original guys (some being with the company 10 years) they sat at home! From that point on, they would work local while the rest of the guys (my husband included) would get shipped out of town staying in hotels for weeks at a time. Well now a prevailing wage job is starting, which means whoever works that job is getting $62/hour. The manager is having both of his brothers run that job for the next 12 months! Do the math! That's over $119,000 in 12 months. So where are the rest of the guys and my husband? Working 3 hours away (this prevailing wage job is 5 minutes from our home!) staying in a hotel, away from their families (including small children) and the brothers kids are grown. Does my husband have a legal leg to stand on? Is this Nepotism?

  • IUD Expired, help! Women ONLY?

My IUD was due to be taken out on Feb 15, today is March 13. I have an apt on March 19th to have it taken out and a new one put in. I am having some symptoms and I'm not sure if it's IUD related or something else. Maybe hormones changing because IUD isnt fully functional?

For 2 weeks I've had very sore breasts, nipples are very sensitive, diarhea one day and than constipated for 4 days, I feel like I have a yeast infection now.

I am 30, married and have 2 boys, so I'm not some young naive girl. So please no rude comments, I'm just looking for advice on IUD and hormone issues from someone with experience. Thank you!!! 😊

  • Breast tenderness and expired IUD?

My Mirana IUD was suppose to be removed on Feb. 15th and I can't get in to see my Dr for removal until March 5th. Today is only 9 days past my "expire" date but I've been having horrible breast tenderness for the last 3 days. I haven't had a period since right after I had my youngest son over 5 years ago (yes! No period for 5 years!!! Woo hoo)

Could the breast tenderness just be from hormones, does the "expired" IUD not produce as much hormones after the "expire" date?

  • Crochet Blanket 2015?

I am taking on the challenge of A Granny Square a Day. Making 1 granny square everyday and making it a blanket. But I am having a terrible time figuring out how big each granny square should be so the ending blanket won't be HUGE.

    Can someone please help?!

  • Need some guidance please?

My husband calls my 9 year old son (his step son) a girl and ballerina or drama queen all the time! He'll do stuff to make him whine and than call him a girl when he whines or cries. Every time this happens we usually end up arguing about it because I refuse to sit by and allow ANYONE to say these things to my son. He calls me my sons lawyer and gets really angry when I defend my son. I don't know how to handle this situation anymore. It doesn't matter what I say to him, I've explained to him how detrimental this is for a young boy, in the past I've told him I will not be married to a man that bullies my son and if it doesn't stop I'm going to leave (again) and this time I won't come back.

Please leave the rude remarks for an immature post. I am a 30 yr old mom of 2 boys, just looking for some guidance because nothing I have told him works, he doesn't believe me when I tell him how important it is that he teaches my son to be confident rather than belittled, he doesn't believe me. He thinks he grew up just fine and compares what he was doing at that age to where my son should be at. It's not logical at all, and I can't get that through his head!

  • Puppy will NOT go potty on training pads!!!!?

We saved this puppy from getting put down, someone abandoned him 😕 I instantly fell in love with him. Problem is, he will not go pee or poop on a puppy pad! He hasn't had his shots yet, so I'm not suppose to let him outside until after next week when he gets his shots.

He will literally hold it in and the first chance he gets, he's going on my floor! I take him to the pad after he eats, after he drinks, after he wakes up from naps, before I go to bed, first thing when I wake up and every time I see him showing obvious signs he needs to go. I will stand there with him even and he refuses to go on the pads! I have a pin set up in the living room where I can put him with a blanket on one side and a puppy pad on the other and he just screams bloody murder non-stop! The screaming, crying and yelping is just too much. I am a mom and listen to enough of that lol

He's gone pee on a pad twice and I made a huge deal praising him and gave him a treat.

  • Should I be worried about him cheating?

We've been married for 6 years, we have 3 kids. I'm 30, he's 32. He works as a commercial plumber usually around 12 hours a day and I am a stay at home mom. He drives a work truck with gps and they are VERY ridiculously strict about driving straight from the job home, so obviously he has to come straight home after work.

At the end of the day he's obviously super tired after working his a$$ off and I'm exhausted raising kids and taking care of the house. A lot of times he goes to bed when our youngest goes to bed (and he sleeps in our bed sometimes until I move him to his bed) So we have sex like once a week (sometimes less)

If our sex life is lacking because HES tired, should I still worry about him being tempted? I should add, with him in construction he's not around women very much so there's hardly any chance of being "tempted"

Sometimes when he's running a job further away he has to stay in a hotel. I think that's why I'm even worried, I'm letting my mind think too much about what ifs. He doesn't drink or go out. What are the chances of him meeting a girl while he's out of town if he doesn't do anything except take a shower, get something to eat and than call me and go to bed?

    I'm being paranoid right?

  • Am I Wrong or am I crazy!?

I am a 30 yr old wife and mother of 3, I'm a stay at home mom and over the years I've been so consumed with being a mom and wife I have NO friends, my husband has always made rude comments when I do get a friend. I met another mom (our 5 yr olds are best friends and ride the bus together) We started talking one day and realized we have SO MUCH in common. It's so nice to have another mom to talk to. But when she text me late last night my husband got really pissed and started implying that I'm doing something wrong, insinuating that I'm a lesbian and that I'm being shady. He has a problem with the fact that he has not met her. He acts like I met her at a bar or something when really she's our sons best friends MOM. She's younger than me, he has a problem with that too. He acts like I'm not normal because I want to have A friend. No matter what I say he won't beleive me when I tell him I'm not a liar, I'm not being shady and I'm not gay!!! This is after 6 years of marriage!!!!

  • Stepchild hates stepparent?

What would you do if you had a child and found out that she screamed at your wife "I hate you!!!" ????

This child has a lot of behavior issues, no respect for the stepmom, yells and screams at her on a daily basis and she's only just turned 8! Stepmom expects her to follow the same rules that her own children follow and the 8 yr old doesn't like it. She's 2 different people, the way she acts around stepmom she would NEVER act like that in front of her dad. If you ask her why, she says because she's not afraid of her stepmom.

So how would you handle that situation?

  • Nightmares constantly taking place in my house?

For a while now it seems like I'm waking up from a nightmare after 45 min to an hour of falling asleep. These dreams have been taking place in my house. I've never dreamed of a current house, it's always been unfamiliar but now these nightmares are of me and my kids in the house we're living in now. It seems like as soon as I fall asleep I'm having terrible dreams! I thought you don't dream till the REM stage? And the same place? It's getting tiresome (like tonight 45 min after I fell asleep) and it's really bothering me now. Every time I get up and check on my kids so I can go back to sleep. What's wrong with me?! I have to get up and feel or see something normal so I am reassured that it's not a nightmare. I just want to sleep 😥

  • Commenting on YouTube inappropriate?

So I am a 29 yr old wife and mother of 3. I am currently a stay at home mom and my life literally consists of kids, house and husband. I have no friends except my mom of course, she's my best friend, we're very close. My husband is a commercial plumber and works 5 sometimes 6 days a week.

As my "outlet" I watch moms on YouTube. There are a few that I watch on a regular basis. I leave comments on their videos and they respond, some have become friends.

My husband does NOT like that I do this. Neither one of us has a Facebook, he has his work buddies that he talks to at work and I have no social life at all whatsoever so I talk to MOMS on YouTube. There is not even 1 guy that I watch or talk to EVER.

Do you think there is anything wrong with me leaving comments on other MOMS YouTube videos? He says he should be able to have a Facebook because I comment on videos of moms that live states away. Facebook you can actually talk to people you went to school with, exes, other people can find you and send you messages, you can't do that on YouTube, you can just search for people specificly in your city. I don't see how he can compare the 2?

Can someone shed some light on this issue please? It really bothers him and I just don't get it! I don't understand how there is anything wrong with a mom talking to another mom when she has NOBODY to talk to......

  • Raccoon in our attic?

We have a raccoon in our attic, there's only one way to get him out and it's a small tunnel. Our problem is that he is urinating on our a/c filter and it's coming into the house all over our OLD hardwood floor. My question, running the a/c is just going to put those germs and diseases that raccoons carry into our indoor air, right??

  • Nortriptyline symptoms? Help!?

So I started taking 10 mg of nortriptyline, I was prescribed to start with 10 mg for a week, than 20 the next week, to gradually get to 40 mg. I was prescribed this for pain from a artery dissection I have in my neck. I understand a lot of patients are prescribed this for depression, which I've suffered with from time to time but I've never taken anything for it.

I started noticing, within a couple of days, that I'm just not feeling like myself at all! I'm in a bad mood a lot, I feel overwhelmed, stressed out really easy, hardly any patience with my kids, super forgetful and sometimes on the complete opposite side, I'll be super emotional. I just don't understand what is going on. I do NOT feel like hurting anyone or hurting myself at all whatsoever. This medication is helping my pain tremendously, I just don't like how it's making me feel. The lesser of 2 evils, I think I would rather NOT be in pain.

Has anyone taken this and had these same problems?

  • Vertebral Artery Dissection almost a year later?

So last October I suffered from a spontaneous dissection that happened in my neck. Basically the artery in the right side of my neck detached from the wall. My artery tore right on the pain nerve which is why I still suffer from pain on a pretty regular basis.

But my question is if anyone else has suffered from this, I know it's pretty rare but I know people are out there that have. For the last 3 days I've had a lot of pain in my neck, right ear and the right side of my head. I was sent to a hospital 2 hrs away and spent 3 days in the ICU because nobody where I live is really familiar with this. I'm going to send the doctor I seen there a message just to make sure I'm not having a recurrence.

Is anyone familiar with this? If so, does this sound like pain from the dissection or something else? Maybe a middle ear infection?

  • Ideas to keep boys busy PLEASE HELP ME!!?

Ok I just lost my Grandpa 3 days ago and I am so sad and upset. I have 2 boys they are 4 and 8. My husband is working so I'm at home with them alone, stuck here with no gas in my van so leaving anywhere is not an option. I need ideas and things they can do that doesn't involve buying anything or going anywhere. It seems like they are behaving worse than normal and they are driving me crazy. I know they probably sense things and that's why they're acting out. Can someone please help me and give me ideas on things they can do, please? I've tried movies, drawing and no matter what they do they end up not listening or fighting and whining over everything. Any advice will help. Thank you!

  • Job Interview Outfit question?

So I have a SECOND job interview tomorrow for a law firm as a case manager. For the first interview is wore a long skirt with a white blouse and now they called me back for a second interview and I'm stuck about what to wear to this interview. I was thinking about wearing this short sleeve long sweater, it's a pretty cream color, swoop neck, it's short sleeve and thin so it won't be too hot. I was THINKING about wearing it with black leggings and tan heels? The heels is the only thing I'm questioning because they are 4 inch heels. Any advice?
