  • Should I break up with my girlfriend?

I've been going out with her for 3 years, and the past year things have begun to fizzle. We are both 20 and this is both our first real relationships.

The excitement and desire to see/talk to her everyday diminished. Frankly I'm not even sure I love her anymore, though I'm not sure if this is normal after dating so long. She's noticed it, and said that she still loves me, but its totally up to me what we do.

Should we break up, or should I try and rekindle things? I feel like if she's willing, I at least owe it to her, and to us, to at least try and make things work.

  • Internship position changed at the end of interview proccess?

I was applying for an internship position at this company, and I got through the first two rounds of interviews just fine.

I was supposed to have one final interview, with the company president, and the day before our scheduled interview, I was emailed that they had changed the position. If I was still interested in the new position, I would have to reinterview from the beginning again.

What gives!? Can they do that? Seems like a waste of time and money to spend so much time interview candidates, only to completely change the position at the last stage.

    Frustrated.

  • Is Christianity a guilt trip?

Now, I should note that I myself have been raised a Christian from a very young age. I'm not trying to start anything here, I just have a question.

I read on a string of comments that an atheist pointed out that Christianity hedges upon guilt, that because Jesus died for everyone's sins, so we should stop sinning, spread his love, etc. etc.

Unfortunately the thread never answered this, so I'm curious what the Christian "counter" or response to the statement, "Christianity is a guilt trip." I tried really hard, but I honestly couldn't think of an answer.

  • I can't bend my knee?

I was playing football today, and after jumping up to catch the ball, i landed full body weight on the ground with my right knee first. Now i get sharp pain, almost spasm like when i try to bend my knee in the lower part of my hamstrings, around the back of the knee area. If I bend my leg very very slowly, I can bend it with little pain.

As long as I keep my leg straight its fine.

  • In the Hunger Games movie why did the Careers put the landmines so close to their food?

Seems kind of silly to put all your supplies within the blast radius of a land mine. If a Tribute were foolish enough to step on one, wouldn't everything explode? Thats an expensive way to kill someone for the Careers who from my understanding aren't the greatest hunters/gatherers?

  • Girlfriend mad over something I said a really long time ago?

My girlfriend is mad over something mean I said to her 3 years ago, when we were just friends. Since then, I've apologized (on several occasions) but every time she remembers, she gets mad at me.

It only happens once in a blue moon, but she remembered again today, and now she seems really mad and wont talk to me. I'm really at a loss of what to say. There is literally nothing I can do to change what I said 3 years ago and its frustrating that it keeps resurfacing every few months.

  • Is it better to fail or get a D?

I have a final exam later today. The class is pretty hard, the highest grade on an exam thus far in the class has been an 81.

Here's my situation, I need at least a 74 to get a C in the class. However, if I get a D or an F, the class cannot count to my major and I need to retake it. In cases of a D, the new grade is averaged with the old one.

On the other hand, failed classes can be retaken and the new grade replaces the old one in the GPA, but the F remains on the transcript, but at least my GPA doesn't get destroyed. However, I am hoping to get into graduate school. My grades outside of this class have been mostly Bs and As.

So, it might actually be in my best interest to sabotage myself on the exam and get an F rather than risk a D since the C is a little out of reach. I would need below a 61 to get an F in the course.

  • How to land after a catch?

In my flag football league, I get a lot of high and out balls thrown my way because of my large hands (8in middle finger to base of palm) and long wingspan (6ft, but im 5'8). I have the athleticism to jump and catch the balls, but I can never land. I always end up hitting the ground and falling or rolling after the catch.

Any tips for landing after fully extending myself in the air, so that I can get yards after the catch?

  • Nike Vapor Jet 2.0 not sticky?

I just got one recently, and they just don't seem sticky. I've owned a pair of Cutters and even UA bolts and they stick to each other, but the Nike Vapor Jets don't seem to stick together at all.

Do I have a a defective pair or is that just the way the Nike gloves are? Seems kind of lame that they're so expensive but not really sticky...

  • Car accident that's not your fault?

I nearly got into an accident today on the highway because a texting driver next to me veered all the way into my lane. Reflexively, I also abruptly moved a lane over to avoid the texting driver without checking. I was fortunate there was no car behind me as I changed lanes.

I know this is hypothetical, but had there been someone there, and I hit them trying to avoid the texting driver, whose fault with the accident be? The texting driver would probably continue on, not even realizing what had happened so I wouldn't be able to get their plates or anything...

  • Should I apologize to my girlfriend?

Earlier i think I made my girlfriend mad by being too loud while she was trying to study for final exams. She's already stressed and I didn't make anything better by being noisy.

Here's the issue, when she's mad at me it typically blows over overnight and it's fine, especially for small things like this. By apologizing with a note or text (she's already sleeping right now so face to face is not an option) risk making her angry again in the morning when she reads it by reminding her.

On the flip side, she could appreciate that I realized I was being loud or if she was actually very upset, this could make things better? Should I apologize or leave things be?

  • Integral of xcos^3(x^2)?

I know the answer, but I am not sure how to get there.

I've tried using integration by parts, where u= x and dv= cos^3(x^2) but i keep getting stuck so I don't think thats right. I suspect I'm picking the wrong u and dv. Thanks!

  • What does my dream mean?

In summary, I was chased by some anonymous force (a lot like Cobb in Inception) trying abduct/kill me. I managed to escape a nuclear explosion (somehow) and I woke up having my new house assaulted by helicopters and armed men. Any ideas what this means?

  • Toe nail yellow fluid?

I bruised my toe a couple months ago and it turned black. The other day, I was playing basketball and I think I rebruised it or something, except now my nail is completely white, and there is a crack at the base where I've noticed clear fluid ooze out, except today it is more yellowish. Should I be concerned about an infection? Is there any way to treat it without going to a doctor?

  • Tips for dealing with her period?

Literally almost every month, right around her period, my girlfriend gets mad at me over little stupid things and refuses to talk to me for a day or two.

Almost anything I say that can be taken the wrong way, regardless of any genuine intentions, she takes the wrong way. I usually apologize and leave her be, but its starting to take at toll on me. My patience with her is running thin. I'm tired of apologizing for things that I shouldn't even be apologizing for.

Maybe I'm just stupid with the things I say, but this its kind of ridiculous that I have to chose every single word carefully when she's on her period.

  • Integral from 0 to infinity of x/(1+x^4)?

I need to know if it converges, and what value. There is a hint that says to compare it to a "pure" power of x but I'm not sure what it means by that. Thanks!
