I can't bend my knee?
I was playing football today, and after jumping up to catch the ball, i landed full body weight on the ground with my right knee first. Now i get sharp pain, almost spasm like when i try to bend my knee in the lower part of my hamstrings, around the back of the knee area. If I bend my leg very very slowly, I can bend it with little pain.
As long as I keep my leg straight its fine.
Anyone have any idea whats wrong?

Based on your description of the symptoms and how the injury occurred, it sounds like you have a tear in one of the hamstring muscles or tendons.
For this type of injury, there is a sudden onset of symptoms. The typical symptoms include a general achy pain in the back of the knee where the hamstring tendon attaches to the bone. This pain is accompanied by a sharp pain behind the knee whenever there is a sudden movement. The injury is aggravated when you bend the leg and with sudden acceleration or deceleration when moving.
The treatment for this type of injury should always include seeing a doctor so that the severity of the injury can be determined. Until then, use the PRICE method:
P is for Protection - Protect the injury from further damage. Stop using the joint, and take the weight off your knee by using crutches.
R is for Rest - Allow an injury time to heal. Typical recovery times for an injury of this nature is 6 to 12 weeks.
I is for Ice - Apply ice to your knee to reduce the pain and inflammation. Be sure to wrap very cold items in a cloth to prevent a cold burn.
C is for Compression - Compression of the swollen area will help to reduce the
swelling. Ace wraps or compression sleeves or stockings can be used.
E is for Elevation - Elevating the injury reduces the flow of blood to the area and reduces the swelling.
Here's wishing you the very best with your recovery.
