ive been taking birth control for over a year now, and last week i took three pills after my period ended and then i forgot to take the pills for three days. since you ovulate when you are not taking the pills i didnt want to risk pregnancy so i waited for my period to start. it came but it was extremely light, then three days later it came in VERY heavy, it was very dark and so heavy that i cant use my regular tampons.

What is happening and what can i do about it?
