  • I am trying to replicate a vehicle order form in Microsoft Access and have some questions.?

If you have ever trying to "build" a car on a manufacturers website, you will notice that depending on what feature your select, it will prevent you from selecting certain other features. Is it possible to create to Form like that in Access that as you select certain features, it turns off others?

  • Thermostat "On" vs. "Auto" position?

When the thermostat is in the "ON" position, I know that means the fan runs continuously. But, does it also mean the furnance heater (or A/C) also runs continuously or does the heat still go on and off automatically to match my temp settings?

The reason I want to know is because in the "AUTO" position, my furnace mounted humidifer doesn't run long enough to provide enough humidity to the house and I read leaving the fan on continuously will fix that.

  • How to detect for hidden mold from water damage?

I just realized I had a leaky water pipe running across my bathroom ceiling that I just noticed a couple days ago when the ceiling almost caved in, the top of the walls were soaked and a section of the hard wood floor boards of the bathroom just recently started to lift. I removed the most of the drywall in the bathroom and fixed the leak and now I need to make sure I kill any mold.

On the walls and ceiling, I only saw a couple of small green sections of mold near the leak point that I easily killed with bleach and soap, but how can I detect if there is mold hidden where I can't see? for example, under the floor boards without tearing up the floor. The floor is drying and is starting to flatten out again...it's not like it looks bad enough to replace if I don't have to. Are the home detection kits you get at Home Depot good enough? I read they can detect mold spores in the air. Thanks!

  • Electrical Plugs Not Working?

This past weekend, I ran into an odd problem at my house. In two bathrooms and in the garage (that are not on the same breaker), the electrical outlets stopped working. The lights, fans, and garage door in those rooms still work, but not the plugs. Any ideas of what that can be? Thanks.

  • Can sandless grout be used on large grout lines that are 1/4 inch?

I know sandless is used for small grout lines line 1/16", but I have a lot left over from a previous tile job and wanted to know if sandless is fine to use on large 1/4" grout lines (it's a bathroom job...in case that makes a difference). Thanks!

  • Convert a shower light to a 110V plug?

Above my shower is a light embedded into the ceiling. I'm redoing my bathroom and I need to convert this light to a 110V plug outlet (I need to plug in two 110V items). What do I need and what should I be checking for? Is it as easy as taking out the light and connecting the wires to a plug outlet that I can buy from Home Depot?

  • Weight Scales that measure fat%, water%, muscle%?

I was thinking of buying one of those weight scales that also measure body fat%, water%, and muscle%.

    1) Are these scales accurate? maybe within +/- 0.5%

    2) If they are, are there any brands that are recommended and/or any specifications I should look for?

    Thanks!

  • Central Home Air Conditioning: Refrigerant Leak?

My issue is that ice and frost is forming on the air conditioner coils and pipes which is restricting air flow through the vents. The repairman says that it is low on refrigerant and says that means there has to be a leak and suggested using a "stop leak" fluid that would find and plug up the leak. 3 questions:

    1) Does low refrigerant ALWAYS mean a leak?

    2) Does anyone have any experience using these "stop leaks"? He wants to charge me $150 for him to come use it.

    3) What are my alternatives to fix a refrigerant leak?

  • Is there a mathematical formula that solves this?

I solved it using iterations of different numbers. But is there a mathematical formula that can also solve it? The answer is 327.

The number 192 doubled is 384 and tripled is 576. Notice that these

three numbers, 192, 384, 576, contain all of the digits from 1 to 9

once each. Determine the only three-digit number ending in 7 with the

same property, that is: the number itself, its double, and its triple

contain all of the digits from 1 to 9 once each.
