  • Should I buy this laptop?

My friend is selling a Ux31A touch Asus laptop for $400. The touch pad is broken. He also is including a Microsoft arch mouse. Is it worth it? If not, what would be a good price?

  • Paying to hand grade my ACT?

I took the ACT for a second time and my English grade dropped from a 33 to a 24. I'm not sure if there was an error with the grading, or it was smudged, but I think a 9 point drop within two months is ridiculous (or I'm just stupid).

ACT allows you to pay a $45 fee to have them hand grade your test.

Should I do it? Or did I just get really lucky the first time?

    (On a side note, I raised my science from a 30 to a 35)

  • Relativity textbook suggestions?

Hi I'm taking AP Physics B right now in high school and I read about special relativity and general relativity and found them to be extremely interesting. Does anyone have any suggestions for textbooks that would go more in depth?

    Thanks.

  • Paradox with religion?

I have two religions. Each religion has a Bible. In each of the religion's Bible, it says that I can only believe that religion, or I will go to Hell. What happens if I believe in Christianity, saying that if I commit my soul and heart to Jesus, I will go to heaven, when another religion says I will go to Hell for believing in Christianity?

(I'm actually Atheist, I would like to here a religious point of view)

  • What tablet should I get?

    Looking for a new tablet?

Hello, I have considered buying a new tablet.

    What I will be doing:

    Note Taking

    Movie Watching

    Reading

A little gaming (High graphics are not that important for me)

For me, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 has been very attractive, due to it's USB and gaming controller accessibility through an adapter. However, I have been reluctant in buying it because I am afraid that a new tablet might be released soon (This is my greatest weakness when it comes to buying high ticket items).

    Other Tablets I have considered:

    Asus Transformer Pad Infinity TF700

    Nexus 10

    Budget: <550

    My questions:

Are there any new tablets that are currently available or coming out that have a stylus?

    What tablet do you recommend?

Should I invest in the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1?

    Thanks!

  • Will garlic make me run faster?

Recently, I fell in love with Garlic. Whenever I'm relaxing, I'll nibble on a clove or cut it up and eat it with a variety of foods. I usually eat 1-2 cloves a day. I try not to eat a lot of garlic because I read that excess garlic can cause problems.

I read on the health benefits on garlic and I learned that garlic increases blood circulation. My question is: Will increased blood circulation caused by garlic help me with physical activities, specifically running?

    Thanks!

  • Few questions about track and field?

Hi. I am going to buy new sprinting spikes for track and field. I run 100m, 200m, 400m. I'm US 9.5 and I have a budget of $100. What do you think is the best brand and shoe?

Also, I was thinking about buying shoes for the long jump. Do long jump spikes work better? Also, I have read about using triple jump spikes for long jump. Do those work? Thanks.

  • Diffraction Grating Problem?

A diffraction grating has 530grooves/mm. Find the wavelength of the light if the first red line is 40 cm from the light when you stand 1 meter away.

    I did:

    530grooves/mm = 5300/grooves cm

    Slit separation = 1/5300 = 1.89 x 10^-4

First line is 40 cm away.

You are standing 100 cm away.

You are measuring from the first antinode.

    So lambda = (40 cm x 1.89 x 10^-4 cm) / (1 x 100 cm) = 7.55 cm x (1 nanometer / 10^7 nm) = 755 nanometers.

My worksheet says that lambda is supposed to equal 701 nanometers. What am I doing wrong?

  • Do you remember this game?

Hi I'm played this PS2 game a really long time ago, but I can't remember it.

The beginning of the game was a character running down a hallway getting chased by a really big rock. Then he tries to escape this building by going into an elevator, and he has to hit this button really fast without getting hit by falling objects. Do you know it?
