We had been emailing for 2 months and finally went on our first date a couple of nights ago. We got on so well, but I think I analysed it too much the next morning. I have told him that I reject people before they got a chance to reject me.

Well, based on me probably looking like a complete idiot the other night and coming out with a lot of verbal diarrhoea, I'm assuming that's that.

But hey, we have had a long email exchange and I didn't want to just cut it off without a goodbye.

Remember, the dating world isn't as scary and confusing as it's all made out to be. No matter what kind of front we put on, we're all just vulnerable humans in a large pool looking for a companion.

If you were a boss who received an anonymous email from a disgruntled employee saying the job was 'thankless', would you automatically blame the weird, quiet member of staff who never socializes?

Or would you think it was anyone of his/her 'normal' seeming colleagues who all get along with you?

I'm a person who always ends up admitting that I did it when confronted!!

But this time if I do get confronted, I really do have to deny all knowledge.

Whats the technical term for this because I want to google it, unless anyone on here has any tips.

I was abused as a child and am recently getting flash images of it all.

Does that mean it was stored in my subconscious all these years.

I have heard that your brain stores every trauma that's happened to you since birth, including being abandoned in a field and left to die at 5 days old and that it can have a bearing on your life. Is this true?

How does the subconscious mind work in relation to this?

Everyone has tonsils..plural, but I only have one..And no, I have never had an operation..

I am from a very catholic background and havebattled my whole life to try to believe, but I cant do it.

I try to pray, but then think..am wasting my time here?

I mean it's just a book, the Bible, which was written by various people..anyone can write a book, so why should I believe this one?

I have no family of my own and although I have extremely good friends, they are all surrounded by close familes and I cannot take it anymore because it reminds me of what I dont have.

I recently started to develop very negative feelings towards these friends, mainly jealousy, and my heart aches when I see how happy they all are and how alone I am, it hurts so much.

I think of my painful chldhood and past and my dead parents and of my hopeless future and I cannot be around happy and loved people anymore.

Please give me advice.

I don't understand it...I try to make frends and make conversation with strangers, Im not forceful or anything..I act the same as other people...but its always everyone else who strikes up a friendship and a closeness with each other.

For example, me and my cousin met this girl and the two of them became friends when it was me making the conversation with her.

Im starting to worry that its something within me that people do not find appealing.

Please advise, its killing my confidence and Im starting to withdraw.

My mother is terminally ill and has a wonderful carer who really makes her happy, but her carer is a stripper who works in a gentlemens club in the evenings.

I shouldnt have a problem with it..only the carer takes my mom out and they share cozy intimate chats about everything only my mom wont tell me about what.

If somebody else came up with wonderful story ideas that I came up with I'd be astounded and say how amazing and intelligent they were. When I have wonderful bursts of creativity I just push them down, because I feel they are useless as I'm too stupid to come up with something so good.

I have just finished my English Paper which is due to be handed in Monday..I thought the hard work was done, but have to hand in a synopsis as ell and I just cannot summarise my story. Hopeless.

Its a character driven story with a theme which tells that existing is a terrible state to be in, where nothing matters and you simply go through the motions of life without really experiencing or feeling any of it. Its total apathy and a lack of any substance.

Characters are a nightclub hostess/escort, a boy who contemplates suicide because of school bullying, a man who just wants to live a normal life, a dying cancer sufferer and her ageing, lonely husband. Andthey are all simply existing ntil they make a choice to live, really live or die.

Any ideas for an engaging synopsis?

Wha does that mean?

I downloaded a song in MP3 format exactly the same as every oher song in my itunes folder, only this one wont play.

I can open the song up in other programs like Realplayer, etc, but not itunes.

Is there a way I can get itunes to play it so I can put it on my ipod..?
