The following ionic compounds are dissolved in water. For each of the substances below, identify the ions formed once dissolved in water. Make sure the reactions are all balanced.

Here's what I got:

HI: HI + H2O ----> H3O (+1 charge) + I (-1 charge)

K2SO3: K2SO3 + H2O ----> H2O + 2K (+1 charge) + SO3 (-2 charge)

Ba(NO3)2: Ba(NO3)2 + H2O ----> H2O + Ba (+2 charge) + 2NO3 (-1 charge)

NH4OH: NH3OH + H2O ----> H2O + 4NH (+1 charge) + OH (-1 charge)

H2SO4: H2SO4 + H2O ----> 2H2O + SO3 (-2 charge)

We were going to reuse the crib from my first child but the mattress was on her toddler bed. We bought a mattress to put in there but it was too small. We thought it was just a different size so we switched mattresses but the mattress that was in there originally with my first daughter is too small also. I know it fit snuggly when my older daughter used it. As far as I can tell there's only one way to put a crib together so I don't understand why the mattress doesn't fit anymore. It's not just a small difference, I can fit my arm plus in between the mattress and the end. Can anyone explain?

There are a lot of problems in the girls' group at my church. Name calling, gossiping, threats, girls cry every week, fighting. Recently it got so bad that there was a fist fight between and 7 and 8 year old. I think most of these problems are due to low self-esteem in the girls. A lot of the girls come from bad homes with little support or guidance. I know the materials in the girls' group touches on self-esteem but that is mostly for the teenage group. I think the girls need a self-esteem intervention. Maybe one or a few classes devoted specifically to self-esteem and maybe some other relevant topics to help them get along. I need some ideas of things to do for them. Activities and games are wonderful. Different ways to talk to them about their issues is great. The target age range is 7-12 years but ideas for younger or older girls is appreciated too. Thank you.

My four month old has lost weight and the doctors said she has failure to thrive. They don't know why yet. She was completely breastfed until last week when they put her in the hospital and they wanted me to start offering her formula after each feeding because formula has more calories. If she doesn't take any they say it's fine because it means she's completely full from breastfeeding but for me to try to get her to take at least 1 oz every few hours. Has anyone went through this and did you find out why? Do you know of any other options besides formula?

We've had the same home number for over a year and we get a lot of calls for the last person who had this number. Most of the companies calling finally realized we are not who they are calling for and stopped. But there's a couple of companies that continue to call. One company in particular has become a big problem. They were calling about twice a week but now they are calling 5-6 times a day. They always call from a blocked number. Whenever I start telling them it is the wrong number before they would apologize and tell me they are taking the number off the list but now they hang up mid-sentence and then call back 30 minutes later. I ask their company name and they say it so fast I can't understand but it sounds like US Pharmacueticals. I'm not really sure what to do since I can't understand their name or get a number to report.

I'm starting a nursery class at my church for newborns to 2 years old. I was looking for some ideas on what to do with the kids. I have a 2 year old and a newborn so I sorta have an idea of what the kids will be able to do. My pastor is going to order some materials but that will take a few weeks and I want to start the class this Sunday. Right now my only ideas are to make coloring sheets with the alphabet and a picture that goes with it (A is for Angel, B is for Bible, etc) and to read Bible stories. Any other ideas?

Most states legally recognize a woman and baby's right to nurse in public places but is there a punishment for people who refuse to let them. There's always a controversy about some woman being asked to leave a restaurant or go to the bathroom to nurse. Do these companies or individuals have any punishments unless a woman tries to sue? If you have any info about this specific to Tennessee it would be very helpful. Thank you.

Classes start in 2 weeks and my loan comes through in 2 days. Should I wait to buy my books on the chance I won't need them or should I go buy them asap to avoid paying extra for new editions? I know most people recommend waiting but I'm almost 6 months pregnant and I have a 2 year old I'll have to take with me to the bookstore so I don't want to be any more stressed than necessary. I know if I wait I'll probably have to buy all new books and pay at least $300 more but then again I might spend a lot of money on books I don't need. So confusing, opinions please.

The closest teacher is 100 miles away and costs $300 so that's out of the question for us. I was hoping to find a website that had the materials of the class for free or a dvd or something for cheap that I could buy. I kinda need more detailed info than just an overview of what the Bradley method is. Thanks for any help!

My husband is a contractor so in the winter work is really slow, especially around Christmas. Normally we save money from the summer to pay our bills and we buy Christmas gifts early (Sept) so it's not a big problem. But since the economy is slow we've barely gotten by this summer and I know we won't be able to pay our bills this winter. We're expecting another baby in January so me getting a part time job is out of the question. I'm a good cook and I'm pretty creative so I considered making some of the things you see in gifts sets like the decorative jars w/all the dry ingredients for cookies or the small gift bags w/homemade hot cocoa mix. Do you think I could make enough extra money to go through the trouble and how do I get started selling something like this? Any advice is appreciated and greatly needed. Thank you.

I already know how to cook so I don't need any recipes but I do need to know if only certain foods can be frozen or if any meal will work. I put soups in freezer bags but I don't know what kind of containers I need for casseroles, etc. That's all I need to know unless there are some tips or details you think I should know. I would really appreciate any advice you can give or if you can recommend a good web site or book. Thank you.

My daughter got a duckling for Easter along w/5 chickens. Day before yesterday we went out to feed them and one of the duck's wings were bleeding. I thought maybe it got hung on the wire or something. When we went back the next morning both wings were bleeding and you can see bone/cartilage showing through. We built another pen and separated it from the rest of the birds. This morning all the feathers on its wings and the back between them are gone but it's not bleeding anymore. I learned chickens will peck at any open spots like that but I've also heard it's normal for their wings to look like when they're separating. There are no vets nearby that treat ducks and I'm unsure what to do. Are their wings supposed to look like or have the chicks completely tortured the duck? The duck doesn't act like it is in any pain or bothered by the places. It's actually kinda mad not to be back with the chicks.

A week before Thanksgiving I went to an OB and had an ultrasound. Everything was perfect then. I went back the week before Christmas and my doc couldn't find a heartbeat. He didn't think anything was wrong but he sent be for an ultrasound so I wouldn't worry. Turns out my baby stopped growing about a week after my last visit. I was supposed to be about 13-14 weeks along. I let everything happen naturally and I completely miscarried a few days before Christmas. I was so depressed my doc started me on wellbutrin. At first I didn't want to be pregnant again, I just wanted my baby back. Now I think I might want to get pregnant again. The last time it was kinda a uh-oh and I know now isn't a good time for a new baby. We have a 1 1/2 yr old daughter and I've just started college (I'm 23 by the way). We don't have a lot of money but our bills are always paid early. And if we didn't lose the other baby we would be in the same situation as if we got pregnant again. I think the only reason I want to be preg again now is because I'm trying to make up for the loss. Whenever I talk to him about condoms or other birth control he just kinda shrugs it off or says it's up to me. I think he wants another baby too but doesn't want to admit it. He was so happy when I showed him the preg test but when we talk about having another one now we both say it would be better to wait. I'm sorry, I know I kinda went off on a rant. I just need some advice on how to stop thinking about getting pregnant again.

I'm taking a music class but I still get really confused on genres. Maybe I don't even have the right title of the song but it's from the Gain commercial where everything is froze so ppl can sniff clean clothes.

Every time I try to open a pdf it gets sent to Word. I've tried right-clicking and checking the properties but I can't find anything to change which program opens it. Before I downloaded adobe I had the option of opening it w/other programs (which didn't work of course) but now nothing pop-ups for me to choose how to open it. Any help would be great. Thank you.

We lived in Virginia until last spring when we moved to Tennessee. Her bio-father still lives in VA and gave up his visitation months before I decided to move. If I need to file any court papers or if he decides to file anything do we have to do it in TN now or in VA since that's where all the original papers were filed?
