Not overly convinced people are actually using this site to be helpful. i have seen very few answers citing real information or developed thoughts and theories. why don't you try to prove me wrong.

  • What does it mean when a bird flutters against your window?

I have heard that spirits often embody birds. There are three times when a bird has come to my window and flapped it's wings against the windows. You should know that twice it was dark out and the only light in the room was from the tv. The third time was in the day, but i know the window wasn't being hit by any direct sunlight and wasn't very clean at the time. The birds never hit the windows, just perched by them and flapped their wings around. They are always finches. My mother had this happen to her after her friend and housekeeper died in my parent's house. The first time it happened to me was after my grandmother died. She was very fond of birds, yellow canaries in particular. The bird that came to my window was a goldfinch. The last two times i have seen a house finch outside my window and perched on the ledge looking in. Once right after my cat died and just tonight, almost a year after my cat was diagnosed with fibrosarcoma (cancer).

Does anyone have any more information on this subject? Or other similar stories?
