I do not live in NY city. My question is, if so many of you rely upon public transportation such as cabs and the subway, how do you transport your children? Do you drag around a car seat or are there ones available for you to use on the public transportation? Or is this just a misconception and you all have your own cars?

2 AnswersParenting1 decade agoRehearsal dinner vs. bachelorette party?
My hubby's sister is getting married this weekend and my cousin the following weekend. Cousin's bachelorette party is Friday, the same day as sis' rehearsal dinner. Cousin did not have a shower; just wanted a "kick-a-- night on the town with the people she was closest to". Sis has made it abundantly clear she does not want her family involved in her wedding. I suspect the only reason we were invited to the rehearsal dinner was because we are related by blood. Sis has been an absolute bridezilla (her mom was the one to call her that!)
I know this seems like an easy choice, but there will probably be repurcussions with the in laws if I skip out on the rehearsal dinner...what would you do? Splitting time is just not possible because the locales are too far apart.
9 AnswersWeddings1 decade agoBachelorette party?
My sister in law is getting married and she has made it clear that she does not wany anyone in her family (other than her mom) involved with the wedding. This has even included teh bachelorette party. Are siblings typically invited to bachelorette parties or just friends?
