I am almost 17 weeks pregnant with baby #1. I am a stay at home wife and my husband works shift work. For the last 4 or 5 weeks I have been feeling sad and also crying for hours a day. I went to my dr. on Wed. and she put me on Zoloft to help. I guess I am just feeling helpless b/c I'm not an overly emotional person and I know its normal to be emotional during pregnancy due to hormones but sobbing for hours a day isn't. Has anyone else gone through this? I'm excited that I'm pregnant we TTC for over 4 years but I'm still feeling very depressed also.

I have PCOS and after 4 years of TTC I am 4 months pregnant with our first child. For the last 3 or 4 weeks I have been extremely weepy. Not just teary-eyed but sobbing for hours every day. This is completely unlike me. I am not an emotional person. I also know that some weepiness is normal but I don't think that sobbing for hours a day is. Anyway, yesterday, I went for my appt. and my dr. put me on 50 mg of Zoloft. She said it was safe for pregnancy and nursing. I was just wondering if anyone else has been put on Zoloft while pregnant. Also, how long does it usually take before you can tell a difference. Thanks

I was wondering if anyone's husband has used some weeks from Family Medical Leave Act in order to stay home a few weeks once the baby is born. My husband is trying to figure out what to do since his vacation will be almost gone by then. We can save money so we will be ok financially for a few weeks since he won't get paid for it. I was just wondering if anyone else has tried this. Thanks.

I am 14 weeks pregnant with my first child. I have never been an emotional person. The last few weeks have been almost unbearable. I cry constantly. My husband works nights and I'm a stay at home wife and every night after he goes to work I burst into tears. He tries to call me on his lunch break but it only makes things worse as I end up crying on the phone which makes him feel bad that he has to work and can't be here with me. I know everyone told me that I would be more emotional but I didn't expect this. I feel like my heart is breaking everytime he has to leave. I've also never been really clingy but lately I have been. I'm tired of crying, my chest hurts from sobbing. I guess I just need to hear if anyone else has gone through this. I don't know what to do. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much

So, my husband and I tried for over 4 years to get pregnant. We had quit "trying" about 6 months ago and discovered in Dec. that I am pregnant. I am currently 12 weeks along. I have had the worst naseau and food adversions and certain smells make me gag. I've not actually thrown up (sorry if TMI) but I gag and dry heave constantly. Last night I was at my moms and was saying how happy I was b/c a really good friend of mine came over and cleaned my fridge out so I wouldn't have to see or smell anything gross, to which my mom said "You need to just quit with all of these "symptoms" I guess since she had 2 pregnancies where she really didn't get sick or have any problems with food or smells then I MUST be faking it. It really hurt my feelings b/c why in the world would I fake symptoms. I love chinese food and can't even stand the smell now. Has anyone else had people make rude comments. How do you deal with them without letting it hurt your feelings?

I have tried taking tums but its really not indigestion just air but I burp all of the time. I could eat a piece of bread and still burp so its not even certain foods that are makine it worse. Is this normal and is there anything other than tums that I can take to help. Its really gross. Thanks for your help

I am pregnant with my first child after TTC for 4 years. I prefer to breastfeed but I was also wanting to know if I can pump so my husband can have the bonding experience of feeding also. The only thing I can find is on the Le Lache (sp?) website it says that if you do this then only let other people bottlefeed so your baby associates you with nursing only. I was wondering if any mothers have done this successfully and if they had any advice. I'm not due for a while.. Just trying to get my ducks in a row :) Thank you so much!!

My husband and I are not going to find out what we are having. So we have picked a girl and boy name. I am only 2 months pregnant so we have some time change them around if needed.

I go to the Dr. today to confirm. Please pray for me and my husband. I am so scared after trying for so long that I'm going to go there today and she is going to be like.. no your not pregnant. Both my husband and I would appreciate any prayers on our behalf. Thank you so much!!! You all have been wonderful with answering all of my questions.

I took an EPT test on Monday morning and it was very positive. I am going to the Dr. tomorrow afternoon at 4:00. Is there a certain time I should stop drinking water or try not to pee so the HCG level will be more concentrated like morning urine? Thanks so much!!

I took a pregnancy test on Monday and it was very positive, however, I feel like I am still having period symptoms....cramping, bloating. I go to the Dr. tomorrow. Is this normal???? Or was the test wrong?

I took a pregnancy test on Monday and w/in like 30 seconds it was positive. However, I'm having some very mild discomfort and light cramping almost like what I get with my period. I guess I'm just being paranoid, my husband and I have been trying for about 4 years. I have an appt. with my dr. on Friday. Also, my positive line lasted for about 7 hours but now its gone, and other people say they've had theres for years and its still showing positive. I used an EPT. Thanks for your help..

Our 5 year anniversary is coming up in November. I want my husband to plan something for us such as a weekend getaway. I'm usually the one who plans everything, I'm also the one who does our finances so I usually know how much money I have to play with. Other than going honey I want you to plan a get away and you have 300.00 to use what else can I do???

My husband and I have been TTC for about 2 years, I have PCOS, usually my periods are very irregular and when they do come they last at least 2 weeks. 2 weeks ago I got my period but it lasted less than 7 days. Not my entire breast but my nipples are extremely sore and painful to the touch (even brushing up against them) I asked a question earlier and people have said I may be pregnant and while that would make me the happiest woman in the world.. I'm scared to death to take a pregnancy test b/c I'm so scared it will be negative as the other 500 I've taken. anyone else go through this???

My cats are 5 years old and strictly indoors, they have recently taken to scratching my couch and loveseat. My husband is waaaaay ticked off. What can I do to stop them??? I used to work for a vet and I really DONT want to get them declawed after I saw how its done. Please help...

My husband and I are considering becoming foster parents so that we can adopt a baby through the system. Has anyone done this.. what are the chances of being able to foster infants only and then the possiblity of adopting a child. Thanks in advance for you help.

Please, please, please stop posting abortion questions on this board. There are too many of us (myself included) who are trying desperately to get pregnant and may never have the chance to have a baby of our own. It breaks my heart that millions of babies are killed each year by abortion when thousands of couples want nothing more than to adopt a baby.
