I have spoken to so many flag fitters and none fit outdoor porcelain flags as they are fitted differently. Would it fall within the remit of a normal indoor tiler??

If i give written authority, can a family member pursue pre-court actions& legal actions against a person who owes me money on my behalf

I was mis sold product from merchant. I ended up with a different kitchen to what i had ordered. I asked for a refund but merchant refused as it was purchased via trade account although using my credit card. I then under compulsion had to pursue with the revised product.

Credit card refuse to provide me with a refund because i went ahead with the revised product. For argument sake, say if there was nothing different about the item, do i not have a right to refund anyways within 30 days?!

Its been referred to ombudsman but wanted to know everyones story.

I am the claimant and the defendant has logged a counterclaim against me for stress. I did opt for mediation but a preliminary hearing has been booked to discuss prospect of counterclaim. The preliminary does not state anything to be discussed about what ive logged. What does this usually insinuate? That everything ive sent is clear and theres potential prospect or that the judge is more interested in the opponent party or their not convinced by defendants counterclaim and require clarification. Also can the defendant bring a family member to talk on their behalf at preliminary

Ive developed this, i just wondered what everyones experience has been. Did anyone develope diabetes afterwards or children

I get panic attack in confrontational matters with defendant. I have built a strong case against defendant and done all paperwork, i just need lawyer to represent it in court in my absence. Does anyone know any legal firm that provides this service?

Neighbour damaged my roof while carrying out works on her roof. I tried to mediate for 5 months and asked her to put right what shes damaged. The roof is getting dangerous. Council dont want to know. My insurance doesnt cover it. Shes refusing liability so i pursued court claim..however shes put counterclaim for stress. I have roofers reports. Has anyone had experience of this before?

I purchase kitchen units for a a so called reputational company. It had taken 6months to fit it as during that period due to their mistake i was left out of pocket in other areas i.e. i was living in an alternative accomodation, the cost of that, also they measured kitchen wrong, so i had to pay extra for re wiring, re plumbing, re-plastering etc

I paid using my credit card but what about the 12-13k extra it has cost me due to their fault?! Will credit card be liable for that as they are disputing just purchase cost which they said they will also not cover as even though it had taken 6months as oppose t0 a month it was resolved in the end of the day!!

I had to go on stress leave from work, seek psychologica therapy! It left me and my family mentally distraught!

Looking for advice for a friend.

his a really good builder in terms of using very good material. .not cutting corners...treating every home like his own and very friendly and has many subcontractors.

Problem is he never seems to make profit.

mainly due to the type of lower class customers who dont pay or want everything done for next to nothing.

his quality of work is so good...I think he should market for high class customers but how?

Also any best practice to establish business.

It has planning permission for residential home, school or flats...which one would be more profitable to convert into?

I parked up designated area, and opened car door, and door got stuck on double kerb. used force to pull it back and it scratched it. quoted £250 to repair!!

subconsciously parked again other day, and again stuck

its councils path - should I be paying for this??

my engineer said no as will cause cracks later

I am working on extending 2 bedroom to 4 bedroom house with an added ensuite, downstairs loo and extra reception room.

its a simple small wrap around double storey extension - 32sqm extension only....but the real cost comes with underpinning and internal restructure and party wall issues. what was a 30k project has turned into 100k!

2 years - just doing paperwork and trying to find a builder who could understand structural engineers drawings and adhere to surveyors party wall guidelines. paperwork cost us 10k. (surveyors, structural engineer, architect, building control, building regs, planning permission, party wall, cctv of existing pipes, contractual paperwork)

Build hasn't started yet.

Main delay - builder being able to produce a method statement to surveyors expectation...without which build cannot start...I am sick of being stuck between builder and engineers battle!

im stress like hell and the build hasnt even started!

After 12months contract with loyalty discount...it was taken off with tariff chg without letter sent out 12months later...is this breach of contract
