Help! I can't do math?
Ok, I'm trying to figure out a percentage for my blog. OK, there are 12 million people in the world with food allergies and the yearly average of deaths is 200. What percentage of people with allergies die each year?
4 AnswersMathematics9 years agoare there groups that I could ask to fundraise for my cause?
I am trying to raise money for the Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Network, which helps people dealing with food allergies and also educates the public. I am going to be trying to raise my own money, but I don't really know anyone. Are there groups around, like VFW or Sertoma club or something that I could ask to help me? I live in a college town and there are tons of frats and sororities around. Do they get involved with charitable things? This is a first for me and I have no idea what I'm doing.

3 AnswersFish9 years agoQuestion about filtration?
Ok, so I have a tank with crawfish and right now it only has an air bar in the back. It needs some kind of filtration because it smells bad. I do a complete water change every week. My question is what kind of filter should I use because I only have the tank about 1/3 of the way filled with water that way they can crawl on land whenever they want.

7 AnswersVegetarian & Vegan10 years agoDo I need another scavenger fish for my freshwater aquarium?
I have a 20 gal with a few danios and 2 dwarf gourmai. I got a Raphael cat a couple weeks ago but he is a BUM. he doesn't ever come out. He hardly eats anything. At most he is out 5 min. a day. I know he is nocturnal but im up till 2or 3a and I still don't see him. So I don't really have space for another fish but I really need something to be cleaning the bottom. Raphael sits in a decorative barrel and never moves. one of the gourmai's will even rest against him all the time and he still never moves.

4 AnswersFish1 decade agoanyone know about the Special Healthcare needs waiver? Does it work for daycare?
Ok, My daughter is 2 she has severe, anaphylactic allergic reactions, and now she has asthma too. She is allergic to several foods and pollens. We were at the dr today and discussed that she has to have the epi pens and inhaler with her all the times. Our daycare does the best they can and they are awesome but we are placing alot of demands and stress on their time and there are a dozen other kids in the room too. I thought there was some kind of health care waiver for if your child has more needs than an "average" child. This would allot us (daycare) some funds to get a little more assistance for her. Like someone to sit with her at meals to make sure she doesn't eat someone elses food and help monitor asthma and charting.
1 AnswerPreschool1 decade agoI need help with a very big, ugly lilac bush?
We moved into this house last summer and the yard was really bad. There is a lilac bush that is about 12 feet tall, the bottom half is bare and it is just straight up and down. Someone really screwed this thing up. The middle of the bush is just bare branches and there are all sorts of nasty things living in there. I trimmed it back in the fall but I think the best thing to do might be to cut it down but if I do how long will it take to grow back? will it look like a small bush again by the end of summer or will it take a long time?
2 AnswersGarden & Landscape1 decade agoDaycare issues bc my daughter has severe allergies?
My daughter has severe allergies. She is 15 months and has had 2 anaphalactic reactions in the last 9 months at daycare. On friday the owner of the daycare gave her a piece of cake, even though staff told her not to! Now I am trying to find new day care for her and no one will take her because she is a "liability risk". I don't know what the next step is for us. I can't stay home. Have to pay the bills. Any suggestions

My daughter is ten months and she hits, bites, pokes people in the eye, and jumps on them. She got moved out of the infant room 2 months early because she was being to aggressive with the babies. I tell her no and she will laugh at me and hit harder. Sometimes it comes out of nowhere. We were getting in the car today and she reached up and slapped me across the face, hard. 7 AnswersToddler & Preschooler1 decade agoBaby's milk protein allergy.?
My daughter has a milk protein allergy and she is ready to start on table food. It is so frustrating. I wan't her to eat with the rest of the family, but going casein and whey free is so hard. I can't find recipes. I don't know what to substitute dairy items with. Is there milk free butter, cheese, cake? If so what is it called and where can I get it. I am from the middle of no where so these things are not easily found for me. Am I alone here? Why is there such a lack of information on this? I am soooooooo Frustrated with it all! I went dairy free to nurse and all I had was meat fruit and veggie. Is my daughter stuck with this? She is also allergic to carrots, mangos, cats, & some trees. I feel so guilty that I'm not doing better at managing this.
