  • Why has there been no outcry?

Why have news outlets not called for justice in the case of the recent video release by wikileaks? The footage seemed to incriminate US aircrew who, without provocation, attacked and killed a crowd of civilians in Baghdad in July 2007?

    http://wikileaks.org/

"WikiLeaks has released a classified US military video depicting the indiscriminate slaying of over a dozen people in the Iraqi suburb of New Baghdad -- including two Reuters news staff. Reuters has been trying to obtain the video through the Freedom of Information Act, without success since the time of the attack. The video, shot from an Apache helicopter gun-site, clearly shows the unprovoked slaying of a wounded Reuters employee and his rescuers. Two young children involved in the rescue were also seriously wounded. For further information please visit the special project website www.collateralmurder.com."

  • Will the sceptics step up for roll-call please?

    I'm just taking a head-count.

    Are you out there?

Is it true that you all agree that we should do nothing?

Has climate-gate has justified your objections to reducing carbon output?

Do you get hot under the collar when leftie liberals, perhaps I'm one, get all sentimental and moralistic?

Do you really think all this was cooked up by the hippies and the nerds?

  • Why was my question removed from Yahoo answers?

About a month ago I asked a general question regarding democracy. I used a fair argument to support my thesis that democracy is endangered by business interests. There was an implicit criticism of mass-media enterprises and big businesses in my question, but I did not, as I recall, name names or libel anybody. In addition, I received much agreement in the seven answers posted. Since then, Yahoo has removed the entire question from the boards. Anybody care to suggest a reason?

This is all that is left of my original question:

Does democracy work? Can it be saved from the vested interests?
