When a molecule diffuses from high to low concentration?
When a molecule diffuses from high to low concentration in an example of a cell membrane (let's say neurons) does this generate energy?
Also, when it diffuses from high to low concentration, does this increase entropy, decreasing the amount of free energy, and if so, is this thermodynamically favorable?

2 AnswersChemistry7 years agoChemistry chemistry concerning moles?
I got this question wrong on an exam and I need clarification as to why I got it wrong.
A student spilled 100.0 ml of 6.00M HCL (aq) on the work bench and tried to neutralize it with 0.125 L of 4.00M NaHCO3 (aq).
Will that be enough to get rid of all the acid? Why or why not?
As for my calculations, I did (6M HCL/100 mL) * (1000 mL/1 L) to find the molarity of HCL.
I did (4M NaHCO3/.125 L) * 1 L to find the molarity of NaHCO3.
In the end, my explanation was that even though the student is using more volume to clean up the HCL spill, it contains a smaller molarity than the 100 mL of 6.00 M HCL, so it would not be enough to get rid of the acid.
Any answer is appreciated.

2 AnswersLanguages8 years agoCan anyone give advice to a rookie playing piano?
Recently, I started playing covers on the piano and trumpet. However, I am having difficulty playing with both hands. I'm self-taught.
When I practice a new song, I repeat the verse on my right hand over and over until I can nail it. Same goes with my left hand.
When I try putting them together, I can't properly play, my left hand keeps hitting the wrong key, my right hand is off tempo with my left, I've tried slowing down the tempo to get it.
the current song I'm trying to learn is Midnight Train by Journey.
the last song I played with both hands is I'm Blue by Eiffel 65 and had no problem with that.

1 AnswerPerforming Arts8 years agoMen: Would you consider being in a serious relationship with this woman?
She is 34 and has 2 children.
This woman gave birth to a daughter when she was 21, with a man whom she was married with. They divorced 2 years later.
A year later, she got pregnant with another man's baby who was married to another woman. To say the least, the man got a divorce from his wife and these 2 were married out of wedlock.
They divorced 3 years later because he wanted to go back to his ex deciding that she was too much trouble.
She is now single, hasn't been in a serious relationship for a long time, and is crazily obsessed with sex.
