How to resolve an Ebay dispute?
I recently sold a gucci item on ebay, and now the buyer is asking for a refund because he does not think it is a genuine gucci product. I am quite certain it is, however I cannot be 100% sure because, as I said in the product description, it was a gift. I did not state in the product description that it was definately a genuine item, I just titled it 'GucciHandbag.'
It does not in the product description at all claim to be genuine. Does the buyer have a case against me or not?
The day after they paid for the item and i dispatched it, he emailed me asking if it was real or not. and if it was fake to just issue a refund and not bother sending it. i told him it was sent already but that i was pretty sure it was real, but again reiterated that it was a gift and i could not be certain.
Now hes opening a dispute against me and asking for his money back. According to ebay/paypal policy, do i HAVE to accept a return and refund it or can i tell him sorry its too late? (also, when listing the item i did select the 'no refunds' option).
Thanks!

5 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs9 years agoIs there anything I can do to save my hamster?
Im looking for any ideas what I can do to boost my hamsters survival chances or at least minimise his discomfort. All ideas are welcome, please explain how they may help.
He is about 2 years old, and has always been very healthy. Last night he had a kind of seizure - his cheeks were alll puffed up as if stuffed with food (but they werent), he was drooling, and he kept making very jerky movements, although he was still able to walk. Once I got him to the emergency vets, 30minutes after I discovered him, he had recovered from this episode.
The vet said it was likely a neurological problem, and if so, there is nothing that can be done. He concluded that I should consider euthansia depending on his quality of life - if he has regular fits, put him to sleep. If they are occasional and he seems fine most of the time, hes probably ok.
Once home he was up most of the night, walking around, and drinking water and such, but making a lot of jerky movements accompanied by a squeek that sounded kinda like a cough. He's not going to bed and instead choosing to sleep out in the open.
I took him back to my vet and she agreed it was probably neurological and will probably need to be put to sleep. I said I would like to try treatment if there is any hope, and so he is on steroids and antibiotics and going back to the vet on Monday,
Im aware that it is unlikely this treatment will succeed, his symptoms are the same as last night (not the seizure, but what I described after I brought him back home), and he is currently sleeping on a shelf in his cage and not in his bed, but can anyone suggest anything at all that can give him more of a fighting chance? ill probably try just about anything!
Please help!!!!

2 AnswersRodents10 years agoHow are Job Seekers Allowance Frauds Caught?
I was in a heated debate with someone yesterday about how they catch people who are working but are claiming jobseekers allowance, without declaring that they are working x amount of hours and earning x amount per week.
My friend was determined that the jobseekers people monitor you bank balance and investigate any suspicious payments, whereas i think this cant be legal as its an invasion of privacy and sharing of very confidential information.
Does anybody know how they actually catch people fraudulently claiming JSA when they are working?

2 AnswersHigher Education (University +)10 years agoWhen are goats classed as juvenile and subadult?
Simple question, how old are goats (in months or years) when they are classed as
- Juvenile
- Subadult
- Adult
Alternatively, if these classes are not determined by age and are by something else (such as sexual maturity), how are they each determined?
Basically for my uni dissertation I worked with goats in Kenya, the owner told me whether each one was juvenile, subadult or adult, and now in the write-up im struggling to define which is which!

2 AnswersKenya10 years agoWhat is a buffer feed?
Simple question really, what is a buffer feed? For example, cacti have been used for many years as a fodder crop and as a standing buffer feed for livestock during drought periods.
If you could state your source also that would be great.

1 AnswerMathematics1 decade agoWhich Statistical Test to use?
I have four separate sets of data that I need to statistically analyse and I dont know the test I need.
The data are:
- The weights of trial goats before and after treatment.
- The body condition of trial goats before and after treatment.
- The weights of control goats before and after.
- The body condition of control goats before and after.
I am comparing results from before and after, and comparing results between trial and control goats.
Does anyone know how to test for statistical significance?
2 AnswersMathematics1 decade ago21st Birthday Party Ideas?
Its my 21st this weekend and it needs to be a night to remember!
The plan is pre-drinks with friends at my student house, then party around northampton town centre. I need some great game ideas and such for the night out - simple but crazy stuff that lots of drinking students can play and so maybe doesnt require a great attention span.
So far I am planning bar rally: a kind of treasure hunt where the guests are given a list of crazy stuff to get on the night and the person to get the most wins. Examples are:
-traffic cone
- photo with hottest person in the room
- pint glass
etc. Any ideas for other games or anything else to make my night extra special???
4 AnswersOther - Games & Recreation1 decade agoDo russian dwarf hamsters smell?
I am considering getting some russian dwarves but am not sure if they smell or not, as rodents seem to vary so much! I've owned/do own:
female mice - dont smell
male mice - smell
male roborovskis - smell
male syrians - dont smell
female syrians - smell whilst on 'their time of the month'
female chinese hamsters - dont smell
As you can see there seems to be no pattern with species or sexes!
5 AnswersRodents1 decade agoImmaculate Conception of a Guppy, can you explain?
So my sister bought some guppies, one got pregnant, had babies, great. Then, sadly, the 3 adults died.
She now has a tank with about 10 young guppies, they are a few months old and not quite half grown yet, so presumably cant have reached sexual maturity yet.
Then yesterday, a newborn baby guppy appeared. Just one. None of the older guppies had appeared pregnant, and guppies give birth to up to 50 babies in a go, never 1. And, as I said, im sure they cant have reached sexual maturity yet if theyre not even half grown.
They dont lay eggs either, they give birth to live young.
Any ideas on where the HECK it came from???
4 AnswersFish1 decade agoTips on taming adult budgies?
My mum recently rehomed a pair of adult budgies, but they are completely wild and you cant get a hand near them to even touch them. She is gutted as she wanted budgies she could handle, but we disagree with the breeding and selling of caged animals (although we do appreciate that many breeders are responsible and caring), so buying babies is not an option.
I have a plan in mind to work intensively on taming them (it will involve lots of my hand lying immobile in the cage so they get used to its presence but without the threat of being chased by it), but I was wondering if anyone might have any advice or ideas that I have not thought of?
3 AnswersBirds1 decade agoChinese Dwarf Hamsters - Social or Solitary?
I cant work out if chinese dwarfs are single or solitary as there is so much conflicting evidence!
Some websites say that they are social animals, and I have seen that there are people who own pairs of these hamsters - some videos on youtube, some people rehoming pairs, and some people even asking questions on here that have pairs of chinese hamsters. This is still just a few people mind, not loads.
However, there are a lot of websites and books that state that chinese dwarfs are aggressive and solitary and should never be housed together. I also recall one source stating that in the wild they live alone in their own burrows that they defend fiercely. They do, however, have their burrows very close to one another (which lead people to initially think that they are collony animals).
This is a topic that is driving me nuts as there is so much conflicting evidence! And I would like to know if my hamster would be better off left on her own or if I should get her a companion (I am experienced in bonding small rodents into pairs, so I would know what I am doing).
Anyone have any suggestions???

Im flying to Kenya on the 2nd of April (Returning 3rd May) and I want to know when is the best time to book to get the lowest price? I checked prices a few months ago and flights were around £500, now they are around £390, but I think they could go up again?
Flights are from London Heathrow to Nairobi if that helps.
