  • Dog hurt himself in crate?

I just went down to eat dinner, and since my dog has a cold we have to seperate the two and I put him in a crate. When I got back he had blood in the middle down between his eyes.

What can I do for this? I don't know what to do, she needs to be crate trained and I cannot keep her outside because it is too hot out.

    What should I do?

  • Help! I am frustrated?

Alright, yesterday I got a dog. Our roomate has a Shi Tzu, and it turns out the dog I got has Kennel Cough. Now, I can't take her to the vet right this second, but I plan to ask my mother to get her checked out and given some medicine.

Last night, I was crate training her to stay in her cage at night. She barked all night- which I was ready to deal with.

However, I felt so much guilt, when she woke me up sneezing from her cold. That's the worst part, hearing your dog wake up to uncontrollable sneezes, while you yourself are only half awake.

She sleeps in my room to stay from the Shi Tzu downstairs. I think the other dog has already been exposed, but she seems fine for now.

Now, I'm not surfe what to do. She's eating in her cage right now, and I'm waiting till she quiets down to let her out. Do I keep her in my room? What do I do to entertain her? I'm afraid to pet her too much because yesterday she was calm in her cage and I think I ruined it and got her too attached.

    I am desperate, help!

  • Panting dog- 10 pt best answer?

My dog is in the crate (if you saw my last question this is her first night) and she is barking tons.

I noticed she had an empty water bowl and was panting so I filled it up. Now she is still crazy and has yet to drink the water.

I am not sure if she has noticed the water or not, but she is trying to push the cage open.

How can I direct her to the water bowl?

  • Had to give my cat to my brother who lives far away. How to get through it?

A couple months ago, we had to move for my mom's work. Her friend part owns the house, and my brother takes care of our house back where we lived. My mom's friend is allergic to cats, and I had to give him to my brother today. It's been 3 hours and I'm crying. My stomach hurts and I can't stop thinking about him. My mom says I get to visit more often, and I was wondering if he would remember me, and what you would do to get through it. Thank you everyone.

PS: We tried absolutely everything. Shots, pills, washing the cat, vaccuming, and closing off places for the cat to go. I am happy for my cat, who now has stairs to run up and down, and neighborhood cats to meow at, but I'm just so sad. I miss him.

  • When you were little, did movies ever make you think weird things?

You know, make you misunderstand real life?

    Here's an example.

When I was little, my mom brought me to a movie where this man had all these headaches, and he was seeing things. He was seeing people, and I suppose he passed out a lot.

The next day after seeing the movie, I went to swim practice, and overheard one of my swim teachers saying he had a horrible headache. I thought the worst. Next thing you know, we are suppose to be spotted while doing a trick in the water. Who spots me? The one with the headache. I cried, and despite being one of the better swimmers, I refused to let him help me. Was afraid of him ever since. XD

    Anyone else?

  • Does anyone else think this way?

Does anyone else think that it's okay to spoil your child (ie. Buying them that dolly in the toy store that they've had their eye on) as long as they truly appreciate and are genuinely thankful for the gift?

Of course, personalities vary- Some kids will grow and think, "Hey, if I say please and thank you a lot, my parents buy it", but if the child truly were to be thankful for the gift, and don't ask for many things at all but are still showered with gifts, do you think its okay?

After all, you're only a kid once. If it doesn't affect your personality in a negative way for when you grow up, and instead teaches you to be thankful for everything you are given, I think that children should be showered in gifts (But not to the point where it's unaffordable).

What sparked this as a question was me flipping the channel to America's funniest home videos (But in this case, America's most heartwarming videos)

The camera followed a young girl who was in tears, to a small version of a house (A play house, probably the size of maybe medium sized room) and when she got inside, she could not say thank you enough. She was crying, hugging, and you could just tell that her parents had made her day. I know that as a child I would always say "Thank you, thank you, thank you!" when I got something I had always dreamed of getting (Usually having to do with japan. xD) But this girl's video made my day. I had never seen a girl so thankful for something in her life, and I found myself thinking, "Good for her, she's such a sweet child, and she deserved it."

Does anyone else agree? Anyone else think about this when pondering their future as a parent?

  • Would you do this/do you think she was right to do this?

Looking back, I remember when I went to my babysitter's house after school a year or so ago, she had an old cat. He was very skinny, somewhat dirty, and often threw up. Since he was old, she didn't want to chase him off the table when he got up on it. Me and my two friends who stayed there were often annoyed to find him eating our food or trying to get it from us as we ate. We would gently push him off the table, or pick him up and set him in another room, but in about a minute he would be back up, trying to take a bite.

I once was eating, and left the table for about two minutes, and came back to see the snack that I hadn't even begun to eat was being eaten by him. I found this annoying, because it was just about the last of the snack we had.

Another time, I was holding some beef jerky and the cat jumped up on the table and was trying to get it from me, so I put it behind my back only to find that my babysitters dog had taken it away from me!

Would you allow your cat to jump up on tables if he was aging and you felt bad? Who knows how much snack he's licked while I was at the restroom?

  • Someone tell me what I should do?

I'm turning into a cat, I think its because one of my kittens bit me like in that movie, Shaggy Dog! I'm so scared!

    6 AnswersCats1 decade ago
  • Just a question because I don't understand..?

Okay, so you know how when people mention their cat having kittens in a question and people mention it and chew out the person who mentioned it?

What if that person wanted the kittens, and was gonna take care of them? What if she planned to spay her cat after some kittens? Maybe that person is giving the kittens to family members that she planned to give them to before the catr even began mating?

What then? You just yelled at someone who did nothing to hurt any cat's life. I just don't understand, and I'd like to know if I'm missing out on this and there's a reason why.

  • Help! Is this serious? ?

It began three days ago, when I was playing with one of my cat's kittens. She was teething, and bit hard into my skin.

The next day, she was acting strange, and her and her siblings were as rough with each other as they were with me. I also noticed my hair growing out around the bite!

And now fur covers my whole body! My eyes are like a cats and as I type I can feel my hands turning to paws, and my teeth turning fang-like!

Should I get to a vet, or will they mistake me for a stray?

  • Average lifespan of a cat?

I'd like to know how long a healthy cat would probably live for?

I thought it was something around 17 years, not sure though. If that is true, it'd be nice. I mean, 17 years with my best buddy! :D

  • Can a cat fall in love with its owner?

I doubt it, but you can share your ideas about it. And not the family kind of love, the LOVE love.
