  • Dairy Substitutes...?

I need some help coming up with dairy substitutes. I am intolerant to dairy so have decided to pretty mush cut it from my diet. I am also allergic to soy, which all the typical substitutes seem to have in them.

I eat cereal in the morning so I need something to put on it (I don't like cereal with water). I would also like another option to use in cooking, such as creamy pasta dishes.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you,

  • What to buy for a baby...?

Hey, I need some help for a friend. We need to know what are the things you NEED for a newborn baby.

I'll give you a bit of background, my best friend is 17 and about 17 weeks pregnant. She is about to move out of her grandparents house and into her own apartment, but she is low on money.

We need to know what are the necessities for a new born child. She is keeping it, not adopting, so anything that can be used in the future as her baby grows would be useful.

She intends to breastfeed, so we aren't sure if she will still need bottles or not.

Any help you can give will be greatly appreciated. I am only 16 and pretty much her support person and although I have been around kids a lot, I still don't know these things so we need help.

Please include things like clothes, furniture and anything else. Remember she is on a very limited budget.

    Thankyou,

  • Furnishing first apartment with very little money...help!?

Ok, I need help. My friend is about to move out on her own into a small apartment, but she has very little money and we don't know if the apartment will come furnished.

I guess I need to give you a bit of the back story. I am 16 and my friend is 17. She is about 17 weeks pregnant and lives with her grandparents, but the have said that she has to move out. She is getting an apartment at about 20 weeks through some government thing, we aren't quite sure which programme though because a social worker is dealing with that.

Anyways, so she is going to be living alone and we need to know what she will need, including furniture, appliances, linens, etc.

If you could just help me by giving me some lists I would be very thankful.

  • Please help me help a friend! Pregnancy wardrobe...?

I hope that someone can help me. I have a friend who is pregnant, about 12 weeks, and she is about to go pop (her belly is about to go out). Me and my other best friend are going to buy her clothes for her birthday but we need to know what to buy her. We are on a quite limited budget, because we are all 16-17, and she has no money that she can put in so I need to know the minimum amount of pieces that she will need. She doesn't work, but she does go to TAFE doing Year 10 (for all you non-Australians, that is like school but through a different place). She is due in September, so she will be pregnant all through winter and maybe the very earl summer weather. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

  • Teenage wardrobe help...?

I need help. I'm love clothes, but my wardrobe has gotten to the stage where it is literally overflowing. I get given a lot of clothes, so I have a lot of things that I don't really wear that often. I would like to get my wardrobe more sorted, so I need a list of items that I really need.

I am never going to be the person who lives off a Top 20 items list, so I appreciate any help with lists of any size.

My style is very pretty and feminine, classic, romantic, luxurious, a bit bohemian and a bit old fashioned. I love dresses, long skirts, lace, velvet, anything. I always like to look good, but I also need to be comfortable.

I am 16 so anything to old isn't really appropriate. I don't work or go to school, for health reasons, so I need clothes for relaxing around the house, working with children, church and going out with friends (movies, parties, shopping, etc).

My body shape is hourglass, with a very full bust, large hips and a small waist. I am about average height and have a bit of extra weight from my health not being great.

I live in Australia. Summer can get quite hot and winter is cool, but not freezing cold. It never really gets below 15 degrees Celsius except for maybe 1 or 2 really cold days a year, but I also have a problem with temperature so I do need clothes a bit warmer than most people.

Any help with clothes, sleep wear, swim wear, workout wear, bags, shoes, accessories, jewellery, etc, will be greatly appreciated. I don't want stores or anything, I know where I like to shop.

    Thankyou in advance.

  • People, myths and fairytales for a novel. Help me please!?

I would really love some help with inspiration for a novel. I have always wanted to write a novel and I am hoping to finally get started. I am great at developing characters and short stories, but tend to struggle with a long plot line, so I have decided to take a story already with a plot. I love ready historical fiction books or fairy tales redone, and would love to do something like that myself.

I would love some ideas on people I could write about, or myths or fairy tales that interest you that I could use. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, especially if they are less known. I love stories about royalty or Biblical people.

    Thank you for any help.

  • Christmas presents for children...?

I need ideas for childrens Christmas presents. I work with kids, and have little cousins, so I need some cheap ideas. I have to buy for a:

two 4 1/2 yr old girls

two 2 1/2 yr old boys

    two 2 month old boys

    a 3 yr old boy

    a 5 yr old girl

    a 1 yr old girl

    a 6 month old boy

    a 2 yr old girl

I just need lots of ideas, they can be cheap things to buy, things to make, whatever. I want unique ideas that they aren't likely to already have. I can do a lot of creative things, so I would love to make them all, but that can end up being more expensive. Just help me brainstorm please.

(I need cheap presents because I am only 16, so I am on a budget and have other people to buy for as well.)

  • Tongue rolling...?

Ok, I am learning classical singing and I sing in mostly Italian, a bit of French. That means that I need to roll my r's, which is also helpful for warmups, but I have never been able to. Both my sisters can do it really easily so I don't know why I can't. I know it is possible to learn because my Mum had to learn for her flute playing, she couldn't originally do it either.

Anyway, I need some suggestions on how to learn, what kind of techniques to use, that kind of thing. I am willing to work at it, because it is kind of necissary in singing, but I don't want to have to wait for months before I get results because I know I will probably give up. Help me please!

  • Which language should I learn and how long will it take?

I have always been the kind of learner that can pick up languages quite easily, probably thanks to learning music for so long, but I have never had the chance. Now I have time and I was wondering which of the following languages I should learn first:

    Spanish

    French

    Italian

I would also like to learn German and Russian at some time but not first up, unless you think I should.

I need to know how long you think it would take to learn a language fluently or at least to a conversational level. I also need to know any great books or software that I could learn from because I can't attend classes.

    Thankyou.

  • The Da Vinci Code?

I just fineshed reading the Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown and watching the movie. I really liked them both but I know that there has been a lot of discussion about the story, especially with the Christians.

I am a strong Christian and I personally don't see anything wrong with it. If it is true, which I am willing to belive with evidence, then I don't think that it would change who Jesus was.

But I was wondering how people on here felt and whether or not they believed the story could be possible true. I know the book was written as fiction but there are some people who really belive it.

Please give me your opinions but nothing insulting. This question is to discuss, not to fight about.

    Thankyou.

  • Hairstyle Change...?

At the moment I have dark brown hair down to just past the bottom of my armpits. It is wavy and fine but there is a lot of it. It is really easy to work with so I can pretty much do what I want with it. I would really like some pictures of cool hairstyles that you think would suit me. I don't want it any shorter than my chin. I love the idea of layers or a side fringe. I am up to getting highlights or streaks but I don't want to drastically change my colour because I love it and it suits my skin tone really well. Anything you can give me would be welcomed.

  • Basic Wardrobe Help!!!?

I need a basic wardobe that I can carry through all occasions. At the moment I have a bunch of clothes that don't necissarily go together. I am an op-shopaholic so I am constantly picking up adorable clothes for practically nothing, however this has left me with a massive wardrobe and nothing to wear. I am 15 years old so I don't need any business clothes although I do need nice clothes for church, family occasions (which happen alot!) and other special occasions. I am very girly and love skirts and dresses. I wear alot of black, red and purple and don't really suit pale colours. I need a list of about 10-15 items that I need for a basic wardrobe. Please Help!

  • Christmas gift basket ideas?

This year I have lots of familys to buy for. I have decided that each family could get a gift basket. I also want to give some to individual people. I need lots of theme ideas for what to put in the baskets, the more different and unique the better. I am willing to cook and make things but I don't want them all to be filled with only food. I am also on a kind of small budget because I need to buy for so many people. Thanks for your help!
