Can my school loans be denied in school deferment?
I called the company (AES) that holds my loans and asked them about deferring if I were to go back to school. They said that there was a 5 year time span in which I could do it, from the time I took out the loan. After that time frame, the loans are not eligible for deferment. I contacted the school I was planning on attending and they said that as long as I am taking 6+ credits I should be able to defer the loans normally. The loans are private student loans, not federal. I'm more inclined to trust the company that has my loans versus the school but I wanted to see if anyone had any other idea on the matter- Can a loan not be eligible for in school deferment if I am not delinquent on any of them?
1 AnswerFinancial Aid1 decade agoCannot play certain PC game demos on my new laptop?
I just purchased an Alienware m11x R1. Certain game demos will not download correctly/play. The main one I've noticed issue with is Kings Bounty: Armoured Princess. I am up to date (I believe) on all drivers, etc. I cannot seem to find an issue with the system requirments for the game but perhaps I'm incorrect. My laptop specs are:
Intel® CoreTM 2 Duo SU7300
Genuine Windows® 7 Ultimate 64-Bit
1GB NVIDIA® GT335M GeForce®
250GB SATAII 7,200RPM
4GB Dual Channel DDR3 at 1066MHz
I tried the demo from an online download source as well as Steam - which I'm using primarily. I have been successful in playing other games through Steam.
Thank you for any help!
4 AnswersPC1 decade agoCan I use a digital audio cable to make my surround sound system recognize multiple inputs?
Sorry, a bit confusing. The receiver for my surround sound has very few places to add components. Currently, we're able to hook up the TV (through AUX input) and the DVD player is already part of the system. I really want my Wii and Xbox 360 to go through the surround sound as well. I was hoping that if I hooked up my Xbox and Wii to the TV then attached a digital audio cable from the TV digital audio out to the receiver's digital audio in, anything on the TV would then be in surround sound. I have tried to set it up that way but have not had any luck. Is it even a possibility? I apologize, I do not have any of the specs for the TV or surround sound system at the moment.
3 AnswersHome Theater1 decade agoGetting my 360 repaired - can I save my user information?
My official Xbox 360 warranty through Microsoft has expired. I have a warranty through FYE that I am going to make use of. I'm not sure if they will repair my console or provide me with a new one. Regardless, how do I keep all of my saved game information, gamer score, etc? I really do not want to lose all of the information I've gathered. I have an external hard drive but it's not an Xbox hard drive, just something I use with my PC. Also, I do have an Xbox Live account but I don't have points on it or anything of the sort, I just download demos with it. Will that in any way be affected? Thanks for any help.

1 AnswerReality Television1 decade agoHow can I have picture in picture with two separate inputs?
I would love to play a video game (Input 3) while watching television in the bigger screen (Input 1). We have PiP. I can switch between two cable channels very easily. I cannot, however, figure out how to have input 3 in the smaller picture while the cable channel plays in the large picture. I know it's possible, as my brother in law does it, but he couldn't make it work on my television, either. I have a Sharp LC - 46SB54U. We don't keep the cable on the "Television" input because then it's analog. I primarily use the Deluxe Model ER1 Time Warner Cable remote but have the TV remote programmed as well. Thanks for any help. I'd be happy to try to provide additional information if it's needed. Thanks!
2 AnswersTVs1 decade agoHow do I stop Firefox from saving URLs in the address bar?
Anytime I start to type a URL in the address bar in my firefox browser, a drop down list of previously visited sites comes up. Some are completely obscure that I went to once and have absolutely no interest in. This isn't really a problem just something I find extremely annoying. Instead of offering me craigslist.com it offers me a post on craistlist from 3 months ago. Any idea how to stop it saving these? Thanks.
2 AnswersOther - Yahoo Products1 decade agoWhat type of Pokemon cards do I have?
I have a few Topps Pokemon cards that don't have stastics on them, like the kind you can play the game with. One side has the name, picture, and number. The back has some information about the pokemon, such as their evolution. I don't know exactly what these cards are called. I collected them as a kid simply because I enjoyed the pictures. Any help would be great. Thanks.
1 AnswerCard Games1 decade agoIs bruising on my gums natural, months after a dental cap?
I had dental caps placed on two of my teeth, a month or two apart. These procedures took place a few months ago. However, around the teeth the caps were placed on my gums are blue/black like bruises. It's just around those two teeth. There can also be a bit of sensitivity every so often when I eat. Is this natural? I was unconcerned with the initial bruising as the caps were placed pretty hard onto my teeth but I'm not sure why the bruise won't heal. I have an appointment set up with my dentist for the middle of next month. Thanks for your help!

5 AnswersVegetarian & Vegan1 decade agoLooking for good audio capture software, youtube specifically?
I'd like to be able to record audio from youtube. I'm not really interested in the video. I found a program called literecorder that seems promising but I was hoping for some recommendations. Also, I have two PCs. I'd like to be able to use the software on both. Is it possible to buy a program and pay for it just the once? Thanks so much.

We just got a new PC and want to transfer our many music files from the old to the new. 3 AnswersOther - Computers1 decade agoCan I add my own parts to a Dell computer?
I'm receiving a Dell XPS 420. If I wanted to, would I be able to buy a video card, or other parts, off of a site such as newegg.com and swap out the Dell card? Or has Dell made it so it's not easily done or possible at all. Thanks!

11 AnswersDogs1 decade agoMy video drive does not recognize my games. Reason?
My video drive recognizes audio cds but not my video games. When I put one in, my D drive still says its cd-rw. I deleted my upper and lower registry keys, whatever that may mean, and there was no change. The light on the tower flashes in recognition when the disc is inserted but that's as far as it goes. Does anyone have any information on what may be wrong? I am up to date on the driver. I'm running windows xp. Thanks

5 AnswersPolls & Surveys1 decade agoHow to download a video off of a myspace page to your hard drive?
I'm looking for a way to take a video off of someones myspace page and save it for myself on my computer. I read the other similar questions and saw that an add-on for firefox has this capability. However, it downloads the video in a unique .flv format. This in turn requires either a converter or a special player.
Is there a simpler method anyone is aware of? Thank you very much.
