Did I turn this around? What do you think?
This is a followup from /question/index?qid=20190...
So I saw her today at church. I didn't get a chance to talk to her before it started because she walked in with her family right as it started. When she saw me I thought she didn't look happy. I did wave and say hi as I went by and she did the same.
Afterwards, I was talking to someone else and they went on their way and her and her brother and grandma were standing there kind of looking like they wanted to talk to me. We shot the breeze, I made her laugh several times. She actually looked at me more than she has in the past, not that she ever has stopped paying attention to me but it's like she gets shy and looks away. As they were walking away she reiterated about wanting to see a movie with my friends and I (I don't think it's a date - we went before and it wasn't) and, to me, she sort of awkwardly acted like she thought she should be hugging me or at least high fiving me as she walked away, but thought better of it...
Singles & Dating2 years agoHow do I win the heart of a girl who is really into music and plays an instrument when I have zero musical talent, other than being fairly?
Good at singing?
How do I keep these guitar players (who usually have no job and no future, not saying that about everyone but the ones who try to hit on her are like that) from stealing her heart?
2 AnswersSingles & Dating2 years agoDo you think I have any chance at all with this girl?
I ve known her for a long time, there is a big age gap, I am friends with her older brother. I actually got the feeling that she was interested in me awhile back but I am afraid to do anything because it s a delicate situation.
We were both at a gathering and her brother was playing guitar along with another guy who he knew but she didn t. She was sitting and listening. The guy was a bit flirty towards her. I wasn t sure if she was interested in him. She talked to him in a different way than she talks to me, but I don t know if it was interest or politeness to a stranger. She plays guitar. I have zero musical ability. The guy kept pressuring her to play something. I have requested that of her before but I don t pressure her, out of respect.
We were getting ready to leave, she was standing next to the guy, and her brother was on the other side of the guy. She said goodbye to us all. I wouldn t say the guy paid alot of attention but I dunno. She seemed to pay some attention to him. I gestured like a big hug to her and she held up her hand like a high five. I said ok I guess that s what we re doing or something and high fived her. She went off to find the rest of her family.
A few minutes later she was walking back by and she sees me and says "ok [something]" and gives me a hug, but it was kind of awkward.
I don t think she is the type to flirt with someone to make someone else jealous, just putting that out there.
2 AnswersSingles & Dating2 years agoWhy does Hollywood look down on tradespeople, as exemplified in the standard family sitcom?
In every family sitcom made since at least the 80s, at some point the kids are graduating high school and a major plot point is getting into college. The characters fear having to become, horrors, an A/C repair tech, a mechanic, a construction worker, and so on. Often the main characters will have a dumb friend who becomes one of these things.
