4 AnswersWords & Wordplay6 years agoDoes anyone really think religion is to blame for extremism?
I just wanted to get people's thoughts on this.
I don't think religion is what we should be targeting, because it's more likely that people make their religions fit their preconceived ideals, rather than the other way around. That's evident in the fact that religion has changed so drastically throughout the centuries to fit what ever societies' ideals were. e.g. Old vs. new testament.
People blame Islam as the cause of groups like ISIS, saying that they're the "true muslims" because they don't ignore the bad parts of the quran. That's ridiculous because they straight up ignore the rest of the quran. And peaceful muslims do the opposite. No one can adhere to everything in Islam, or any religion, because they all contradict themselves. People obviously cherry pick what they need to justify their pre-conceived Ideals. Same goes for christianity. Some christian families would disown their children for being gay, some would be fine with it. Completely different ideals, yet all consistent with particular parts of the bible. They clearly don't base their ideals on their religion, because they'd have to observe EVERYTHING it preaches, but they cherry pick whatever's consistent with their ideals. So it follows that all these ideals, extreme and moderate, would exist without religion.

I've been looking at all the flavours with which protein shakes are labeled. I'm seeing crazy stuff like toffee caramel fudge, rocky road, cookies and cream etc. What kind of substances do they put in protein powder to flavour it? Are there any potentially harmful ingredients?

2 AnswersMusic & Music Players7 years agoPS3 internet connection problem. "Key into exchange timed out ". I've tried everything.?
The error i'm getting when I try to connect my ps3 to the internet wirelessly is "the key information exchange timed out. The WPA key you entered may not be correct." I've tried millions of times, the WPA key is definitely correct.
Things I've tried:
Selecting "custom" when setting up a connection, and going through the options without making changes.
Putting my ps3 into the DMZ.
Those two methods got the same error.
I also tried disabling my routers security altogether. When I tried to connect this way, the ps3 obtained the ip address but I got this message, "Error occurred during communication with server.
This is a DNS error. (80710102)"
What else is there to try?

5 AnswersMovies7 years agoCan things like position and velocity make sense without reference points?
I watched a video of a man explaining that the idea that planets travel in circular paths is wrong, and that that is only the case when the sun is the reference point. He said that the planets' ACTUAL path through space was a spiral, because the sun is also traveling through space.
But then I thought that the spiral path is only the case when the centre of the galaxy is the reference point. The galaxy is also traveling.
But how can we decide what direction the galaxy is traveling in when the direction, and speed, will be different with different reference points? We can't, can we? There's no such thing as an "actual" path, it's always relative.
Based on that, it seems like "position" and "velocity" are completely arbitrary. Right? But then if velocity is arbitrary, how can it have an absolute limit, i.e. light speed?
