I have been in the radio broadcasting field since 1979. Currently, I own and operate Big D Country, an Internet station targeting Tallahassee, North Florida and South Georgia. Big D Country plays a blend of country, classic country, and some soft AC music. Big D Country is streamed via Live365 and also is syndicated on Radio Terra. I am pursuing a local low power FM station at present. Big D Country can be found at: http://www.bigdcountry.com http://radio.terra.com/station/wjjd-big-d-country/255956
OK, classic country fans..Even the DJ is stumped on this one..
A radio colleague brought by some old records and tapes one day. They came out of a now-defunct country music AM radio station. In this collection there is a tape that has lost its label.
It contains a song that appears to be called "Livin' in High Country".
Here's the chorus:
"Livin' in high country,
I sit up here and watch the world go by.
Livin' in high country
Well I was born right here and right here's where I'll die."
Kathleen,,Tex..cave..can any of you ID this song?
And if any of you have it, I'd like to get a better copy to use on my show. I don't know if I can get this old cassette tape to a decent enough quality to broadcast it.
Thanks!
5 AnswersCountry1 decade agoWhat is a good choice for an external sound card..?
My new computer has a Realtek soundcard that is not compatible with Live365.com's broadcast software. The
recommendation has been to get a Windows-supported
external sound card.
This is to be used mostly for a live broadcast to the computer using "line in."
What would be some good choices for this? I'm not familiar with sound cards amd would appreciate your advice.
Thanks!
