How much is this violin worth? (Scherl & Roth 1980's Stradivarius)?
Hey! I have a violin and am interested in wondering how much it is worth. It is a Scherl and Roth violin with two labels on the inside indicator that it was handmade in West Germany in 1984, modeled after Antonius Stradivarius violins and then adjusted in Cleveland, OH. Serial number is 44465. It seems like a nicely made violin but is quite a little beat up. It was restrung at a music shop about a year ago. Any ideas? Thanks!

1 AnswerLanguages5 years agoExamples of Greek Gods' limitations?
I am writing a paper for school and in one of my points I am looking for a story in Greek mythology that illustrates the facts that the powers of the gods were limited and that they had power over their domain only, but not anything outside of that. If anyone could point me towards a credible source on the web that includes a story like this, it would be awesome. Thanks :)
1 AnswerHomework Help7 years agoiPhone apps stuck on "waiting"?
Hey, I am having a problem with two apps on my iPhone. I downloaded them a while ago and updated them when they needed to be. However, it has been several hours and the apps are still stuck on "waiting". I have looked online on many different websites but can't find a solution that works for me. I have tried rebooting, resetting, signing in/out of the App Store, etc. There must be another way to fix this. I'm not able to connect to a computer. I need to find a way to fix this within the phone. Thank you so much in advance for any help.
2 AnswersCell Phones & Plans7 years agoBest way to learn a new language (German)?
Hi! I have always really wanted to be able to speak another language, especially a language like German since I really love Germany and their culture. I thought, why not start now? I am not necessarily looking for the best/fastest software or anything like that, but I would like to know where I can start now as a beginner to being putting myself in the language and learn it, hoping to eventually speak fluently. I know it will take much time and hard work, but I don't know where quite to properly begin. I am a high schooler and don't have any ability to go immerse myself in another country (though I would love to do so!), and I know this question has been asked countless times before, but I'd love some answers for my specific question. Danke schön! :)

3 AnswersLanguages8 years agoWho wore the Armor of God (examples)?
I need some help. For school I have to do a report on the Armor of God and examples of people in the Bible who "wore" it. We have to come up with an example for The Belt of Truth, The Shield of Faith, The Breastplate of Righteousness, The Sword of the Spirit, and The Gospel of Peace. We should find an example of a person in the Bible who lived by each of the principles. I'm a little lost and I would appreciate it if anyone could give me some suggestions of people in the Bible who I could use for this report. Thanks!
2 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoWhat is this game called?
When I was a kid there was a game I liked to play. It was on a Windows Computer and I can't remember it very well but it was like this little pink character with a star on it's head and it would have to get across various levels which was made of blocks. I think it was called ____'s Blocks or ____'s Bricks or something. Any help would be great!
2 AnswersVideo & Online Games8 years agoCan you install airbags in an old car that doesn't have them?
I'm sorry if this is a stupid question! I don't know much about cars. Just wondering if it's possible to put airbags in an older (like 60's-era) car. Thanks!
10 AnswersSafety8 years agoIs Fabian sometimes used as a girls' name?
I ask because I recently returned from Haiti and while there I bonded really well with the children in the orphanage we worked in. The girl I grew closest to was named Fabian (or perhaps Fabien, which is the French version). I know this is typically a boy's name, so I wonder how often it is used for girls, in what country, or perhaps I heard wrong and there is a similar name used more often for girls? I want to name a character Fabian in honor to her so I'd love to know.

1 AnswerLanguages8 years agoQuestion about syncing iPhone?
Hey I need some help! I have a CD that I would like to download onto my Mac so I can put it on my iPhone. The problem is, a lot of the songs/apps on my computer iTunes are old. For the last while whenever I get a new song or app, I get it straight off my phone and don't go to my computer or anything to get it. Therefore, the information on my computer for iTunes is not updated, and I'm worried that if I plug my phone in to download the CD, my new information will be erased and my old iTunes information that's on the computer will be downloaded onto my iPhone and my new information will be lost. Can anyone help me out with this? Thanks!

1 AnswerFriends8 years agoHistory of Madeleine, Madeline, Madelyn?
Get ready for me being defensive of my name...LOL....
So my best friend named Abby (Abigail) was complaining to me, "There are people who name their kids Abbagail! And Abbygail! And other awful spellings!"
I told her that's how I feel about the spelling Madelyn or Maddlyn....I always felt that its a cutesy modern spelling, even though I know it has been used for a while. Still, I really don't like the spelling and I feel it's not classic at all like Madeleine or Madeline.
But she told me Madelyn is how my name is SUPPOSED to be spelled. What the heck. Apparently my parents named me wrong? I don't think so because I've met many other girls named Madeline with the same spelling as me and I've always been told it is something that can be pronounced two ways though my pronunciation (Mad-eh-lin) is more popular.
I know about Madeline the book character, I loved her as a child and still now, but isn't she the one with the wrong name? If she's French shouldn't it be Madeleine with a different pronunciation? Where did the Mad-eh-LINE pronunciation arise?
So basically I'm wondering if she's right, my parents gave me the wrong spelling. I don't think so and I hope not! What's the history of these names!
And a final question: what is your favorite spelling?
