So I was going to be all by myself this Thanksgiving because my mom is in Louisiana with my sister and her kids. Then last minute my teacher invited me over to her house to spend time with her and her family. That was really nice of her. My mom told me I should go.

The trouble is I don't want to be awkward or anything because I've never spent a holiday with anyone's family except my own. I was wondering if you had any tips for being around new people and still enjoying the holiday.

I'm working on a story but I am having trouble naming my main character, which is not a good thing.

She is 28 years old. To the outside world she is a sweet and gentle but rather mousey young woman.

Unfortunately she tends to respond to situations in a childish manner. She is extremely impulsive and has trouble keeping her emotions in check. Because of this she can become very violent and a tad sadistic.

She had an abusive past but she refuses to acknowledge it. She is currently suffering from anorexia (of which she repeatedly denies) and states many times that lately the sight of food alone has been making her sick but she thinks that the problem is only something physical.

Any name suggestions? I need a first and a last name. Thank you

I remember either reading something or seeing on tv that at one point children who went missing were treated like adults who went missing. So you'd have to wait (I think) an entire day before the cops would even bothering looking for your child. I was just wondering if anybody knows when the procedure for find children was changed so that way kids would be found sooner.

I'm writing a Fullmetal Alchemist fanfiction called 'Habitual Mistake'. It is a very dark fic and I'm not sure whether I should set the rating for T or M. Basically it's dark because it deals with a little girl being kidnapped by people who are running a child prostitution ring and her father must go on a quest to find her before it's too late. I do not intend on writing any rape scenes so for the most part it is dark because of the storyline and subject matter. So should I set it as a T rated fic or an M rated fic?

I normally only write depressing or kind of dark fanfics but I've got this idea for a funny Fullmetal Alchemist fanfic. The trouble is I don't really know how to write humor. The fanfic is about (for those of you who know the show) Olivier Armstrong get's saddled with Elicia Hughes but she's determined not to act motherly towards her because she's Olivier and she's not motherly towards anyone. Her plan is to turn Elicia into the perfect Briggs Solider

Anyways do you have any tips for me about writing humor?

What's the one thing in this world that prevents you from just giving up and killing yourself? Are you simply afraid to end your life due to your intolerance for pain or for a religious belief? Do you live for something simple like just seeing the sun rise each day? or do you perhaps live for a person whom you hold very dear?

I'm looking for an anime with some depth. Something with meaning and amazing characters. I enjoyed Death Note and Monster, so maybe something like that. It can be of an genre but I really want something that's going to blow me away. Something thought provoking.

I've seen the advertisements for both and they both look really cool but i'd like to get some of your opinions on this. Which show is better and are they really awesome shows or do the trailers make them look better then they really are?

NYAF(New York Anime Fest) is coming up pretty soon. Originally I wanted to go Sosuke Aizen from Bleach but when I went to this other cosplay event I realized how crappily made my costume was. I wanted to make my own costume but my Roy Mustang(FMA) cosplay is going to take a while to make so now I have three choices and I need your help in making a decision.

1) I could get a blond wig, black turtleneck, and a fake gun and go as Riza Hawkeye(FMA) since the military pants are already made. However I don't think I would make a very good Riza cause' I don't look anything like her. The other thing is that her voice actor is going to be there and well...I would feel a bit awkward....I know it's sad she's my fave character on FMA but still....

2)I could get a black wig, a vest, and some buster browns and go as Selim Bradley/Pride(FMA) but I don't know about that ether. Is 5 foot 2 short enough to pass for a small boy?

3) I could just go as Aizen but seriously that costume was very poorly made.

I don't know what do you guys think?

I want to join my schools riflery team but we only have one practice before try outs and well today was the first time I had ever shot a gun before. I did pretty good considering that it was my first time and my coach told me to use my right hand even though I'm a lefty. I would like to find a riflery range here in New York; ether on long island or in the city. I need to find a place that would let in a minor, I would obviously have my mom with me so I wouldn't be unattended or anything like that. Do you know of any place like that?

I don't really like to read shoujo but when I saw the cover for We Were There I thought it looked so beautiful and now I'm curious about reading it. I wouldn't mind a romance but I will only read it if it has a good storyline. If you've read this manga tell me what you thought of it.

I know that in the original FMA anime series it was Roy Mustang who killed Winry's parents and not Scar but my question is does she ever find out that it was him who killed them and if so what episode is it?

I want to go as Rin Kokonoe from Kodomo No Jikan(A Child's Time). It will be the first time that I've ever tried to sow a costume but her outfit is simple enough that I think I could pull it off. I even found a great wig. The problem is that she wears these large hair ornaments and I'm not sure how I would make those or find something that looks like them.

you see those hair things? She wears eight of them. four on the top and four near the edge of her hair. Any ideas as to how I could make them or what I could buy to get that look?

I have been unable to find an accurate looking wooden Kyoka Suigetsu but I'm going to several cosplay events (and fairly soon) as Sosuke Aizen from Bleach. I would just buy a real sword replica (Because those look really nice) but I'm going into New York City and I really don't want to be caught with a real weapon in the city for obvious reasons. However when I went as Momo Hinamori I bought a real sword and I went to both I-Con and Castle Point Anime Con without anyone even noticing, so maybe I could get away with it in the city too but I'm not sure. I could still buy a real sword but nail it shut in the sheath, so they can't say it's a weapon anymore but what if they don't check and I end up damaging the sword for no reason?

Any ideas?

It was about this girl who tries to kill herself three times but she fails. Later on she works at a prison for those who will be sentenced to death and she meets this guy who killed three people. Then they later fall in love and decide that they really want to live. That's all I can remember, any ideas?

Lately my friend Emily has been very distant from me. She's gotten to that age where all she wants to do is find a boyfriend and she's started going to teen clubs with friends her age(I'm a year older). I can't really blame her, after all she is young and she should go out and enjoy her life. The trouble is that when she goes to these clubs she never invites me or even bothers to offer a ride. Although I'm not the most sociable of people I'd still go with her but my mom won't let me go unless I have a ride. She doesn't even call me like she used to, all I ever hear from her anymore is when ether I invite her someplace or when she comments on my Facebook status. I'm going to be leaving for camp on Sunday and I'll be away for 3 weeks so my mom is taking me out to dinner, I thought about inviting Emily because on her last birthday her parents had promised to take her out to dinner but then they never did and her birthday was in December, so I feel bad. I just don't know if I should invite her though because I'm always the one asking her to go with me and I'm starting to feel like a doormat. I also don't want to be the reason why are friendship ends so I don't want to just ignore her completely.

Any ideas as to what I should do?
