Hello everyone, my name is Jorge and I'm here to answer your questions! :p Seriously though, I joined YA! because it seemed like fun and it looked like I could contribute a bit as well as get opinions and answers. I used to really love wrestling, but now I'm more interested in MMA, although I answer questions in both sections all the time. I am a Christian, and I believe that Jesus Christ is the only way to heaven, so if you have any questions about what I believe in or about anything related to MMA, Wrestling, MP3 Players, etc., ask me. God bless you all Jorge

  • Going to first wrestling show, any advice?

I'm going to go to a lucha libre show at the fairgrounds near my house tonight. It'll be the first wrestling show that I go to. It's a pretty small promotion that's doing it, but La Parka is scheduled to appear so that's a plus. Any advice? Chants? etc.

  • What should I use to treat this sore throat?

I woke up with an extremely sore throat, which I'm pretty sure was caused by post-nasal drip, but anyway, I'm home alone with no car, no money, and no medicine. What household foodstuff could I use to make my throat feel better?

    Thanks! :)

  • What do you think about these gangsta rap lyrics?

I got into a freestyle battle earlier today and this is what I came up with:

Yo **** the migra, Jorge said it with authority

    Killing whites is my priority

Killing your homies and stealing your women

I'm as sweet as sugar, but can be sour as lemon

    Patrullas fronterizas, I don't give a ****!

I'll pound your face in like a mallard duck

People say I'm the lyrical miracle

I don't care, I just make women hysterical

Badder than Eazy and fatter than Cube

I'll take on all your women, lube or no lube

I don't care if you roll with bloods or MS-13

I'll still set your mom on fire with gasoline

I've never been in jail cause I never been caught

and all this clothes is stolen, not bought

Me and Phil stole this Benzo from the lot

    But I don't give a **** cuz I'm smoking some pot

Shooting up your hood til the asphalt's red

Then taking your sisters up into my bed

My names is Jorge and I'm a bad man

    Don't **** with me boy, I ain't Peter Pan

  • What do you think about my old dojo's self defense sheet?

    http://www.redtigerkarate.com/resources/pdfsheets/...

I was looking at my old dojo's website and I came across this self defense sheet. It looks good and all, but shouldn't the instructors practice these techniques (not with full force of course) in class instead of just handing the students a paper and saying "Ok, well if someone tries to kidnap you, use this."?

  • Should I consider joining the high school football team this fall?

Hey guys, I'm just wondering if joining the football team would be a good option for me in the fall. I've played football before in the 8th and 9th grades, but I haven't been able to play the past two years due to injuries and work commitments. I used to play left tackle and defensive tackle, but I'm a little too heavy right now. I'm 5'11" and that may seem short to you guys, but the average height of the guys on the football team is 6'. I know I probably wouldn't even start or maybe even play, but I just miss the old days of camaraderie and teamwork. If you do think I should play can you please recommend some drills/exercises I should do. I'm already running every day, lifting 3 times a week, and doing other stuff like jumping rope and such.

    Thanks so much,

    Jorge :)

  • Are there any essential Pride FC or other promotion events that are must-watch?

Hey guys, i've been a UFC fan for more than a year now and I've watched many payperviews and every fight night since I started watching it. The thing is that besides Strikeforce and EliteXC (when it was around), I haven't watched many other MMA events or promotions. Are there any old Pride (or any other promotions or events for that matter) events that I should try to buy or watch?

    Thanks so much.

  • Is my old dojo a McDojo?

When I was younger my family was poor so we could only afford to learn karate at one place, Red Tiger Karate. I have now realized that I only learned basic techniques that a white belt (I was a green belt when I left) in any other "legit" dojo would have known.

Does RTK look like a McDojo to you? http://www.redtigerkarate.com/index.html

  • If I am a fan of MMA and I like several items from MMA -related brands, should I wear them?

I'm a very avid fan of MMA and have been following the sport for a few years now. I really like a few items from the Tapout, Warrior, and UFC stores, but I'm not sure if I should wear them. I mean, I'm not a fighter and I don't intend on ever being one, but I really like some of the stuff they offer.

  • What are your ratings for the main fights of UFC 100?

    These are mine...

Akiyama vs. Belcher- I give this fight a 4 and a half out of five, it was such an amazing fight and both men fought hard until the end.

Henderson vs. Bisping- I give this fight a 3.5 out of five. It was a good fight and all, but I subtracted .5 due to Henderson's unsportsmanlike forearm drop at the end.

St-Pierre vs. Alves- This fight gets a 3.5 out of five as well, both men worked hard and it was interesting at times, but it just didn't live up to the hype.

Lesnar vs. Mir- This fight gets a 2 out of five for me and a -100 from special guest judge, my dad. I mean, Lesnar just took down Mir and dominated both rounds. He pounded Mir's freakin face in and all. I think that Herb Dean allowed Lesnar to keep pounding away in the second round, Mir was clearly out way before it was stopped. My dad says that this fight was a garbage fight and that this was a prime example of why MMA is garbage (his opinion). Also, Lesnar's behavior afterwards was horrible and unprofessional, even though he was just playing heel...

Fitch vs. Thiago- This fight gets a 4 out of five from me and a 3 out of five from special guest judge, my dad. We both enjoyed this fight a lot. Both men fought hard and were awesome grappling and on the ground.

I know my opinions may seem dumb to you guys, but it's just what I think...

    What do you think?

  • Do you think that the UFC and other MMA promotions should establish Super Heavyweight divisions?

    Superheavyweight meaning 265 and above.

Even though these fights would probably be slow and a little boring sometimes, I think that this weight class will allow bigger and more powerful people to demonstrate their skills. I'm sure there are fighters that are 270 and above that can put on one hell of a show.

  • How many fights are shown if I order UFC 100?

I plan to order UFC 100, but I see on Wikipedia that there are preliminary bouts and the main card. Do they show all of those fights, or just the main card? (sorry, I am an avid fan of MMA, but I have never ordered a UFC PPV)

  • What would be the best computer to buy at a great price?

My computer recently crashed and I am now getting on only at school. What store/website can I buy a great computer at a great price? I prefer a Dell, but anything besides Acer will work.

I am looking for about a 500gb hard drive or maybe slightly larger, a good CPU, and 4+gb of RAM.

  • Can you answer some questions about XBOX Live and the headset? ?

Ok, so as you know by my previous questions, I'm about to get my XBOX 360 back from Microsoft for repairs and I already have the headset that plugs into the controller. I am a novice with the 360 so please don't laugh at my questions if they seem dumb.

    1. Once you plug in the headset to the wireless controller, will you be able to hear and talk with it without having to plug in anything else?

    2. Can you just talk to a friend on Live even though you aren't playing the same game?

    3. Do they have levels or rankings on Live that allow you to play against people that are around the same level of aptitude as you? You know, I don't wanna get slaughtered, lol

    4. Can you talk to and taunt your opponents?

Thank you for your time and God Bless :)

  • How much time do I have to buy a new warranty for my XBOX 360 from Microsoft?

My XBOX 360 got the E74 on the last day of its warranty, and (thank God) Microsoft offered to repair it for free. The operator at Microsoft told me that after I received the 360 again I had the option to buy either a 1 or 2 year warranty. I want to know how much these warranties cost and how much time I have to buy one.

I also know that Microsoft is going to give me a 90 day warranty for free after I receive the 360.

  • Can anyone please explain how to connect an XBOX 360 to XBOX Live wirelessly?

My XBOX 360 barely worked for like 6 days after I got it, but then got E74 so I sent it back. Once I get it back, can anyone tell me how I can use a wireless router to connect it to Live?
