  • Question concerning one sibling having power of attorney for an aging parent.?

My sister is an attorney lives in Washington state. My mother and I live in Oregon. Mom was diagnosed with Alzheimer's about 3 years ago, my sister got a complete power of attorney over her which covers everything. I went along with it because I figured my sister is a lawyer so she knows about these situations. I live with my mom and have been her caretaker pretty much every way. On Labor Day mom fell and had to be hospitalized but she didn't suffer any severe injuries and will soon be released from the hospital, they are keeping her a few extra days for observation due to her age. The social worker has advised my sister and I to put her into a secure nursing facility until there is a space available at a memory care home. My sister wants to move her to Washington state because she feels they have better facilities than Oregon. I am not in agreement with this and feel that my mother should remain in Oregon because she has friends here as well as it making it more efficient for me to visit and be with her. When the power of attorney was drawn up, my sister WAS an Oregon resident but has lived in Washington state for over a year now. She occasionally takes my mother to medical appointments and every once in a while will stop by to visit and clean house a little. Other than that and phone calls now and again she has little contact with her. Is there ANY legal procedures I can go forward with to prevent this move from happening? Any advice would be well appreciated. Thank you!

  • B-29 Question?

During the B-29 bombing raids over Japan in WW2, were there any Japanese fighter planes capable of reaching the B-29's altitude and if so how many were shot down approximately by them as opposed to anti-aircraft fire? I saw a video on YouTube filmed by the Japanese who investigated the crashed B-29's and was horrified that they filmed the dead crew members lying side by side on the ground. You can watch it here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ged0wsMJ12k Bodies of US airmen shown at 2:58.

  • Hard drive doesn't seem to be releasing storage space.?

I am getting a new desktop pc and giving my old one to a friend. It is a Dell Inspiron and I'm not sure of the exact model number but I purchased it in late 2008. It's OS is Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit.

It has a 451 GB hardrive and I have removed literally everything that I put on it. Games, movies, pictures, programs etc. and left only the programs on there that were, to the best of my knowledge, pre-installed. Just "bare bones" so to speak.

So after taking all these items off, I have about 200 GB left, or rather my friend will for storage.

This seems like quite alot of storage to be using with only the minimal needed features still on the pc.

I will say that I have had to reinstall Windows a couple of times due to viruses or operational problems created by me not wizing up back then to get protection. I have noticed that when I open the actual C drive I see a "windows.old" and a "windows.old.000" file folders and when opening them have found a few things but not many as I backed up all of my stuff on an external hard drive.

Upon deleting those files it did not increase the storage space much, I got a few GB's back but not a large amount.

So what I woud like to know is: Is it possible that the old windows that were copied over during reinstallment are still taking up lots of space? If so, anything I can do about it? Thanks!!

  • Dell SE 198 WFP compatibility issues with Dell Optiplx 780 Desktop?

I have a Dell SE 198 WFP monitor with a DVI plug in which would fit right into the back of my old computer. I have a new Dell Optiplex 780 desktop with a VGA monitor plug in. I have an adapter which the monitor plugs into the "female" side and the "male" side plugs into the computer.

However when I turn them on all I get is a black screen. I have an old monitor with a VGA plug in and that works fine but I wish to use my SE 198 WFP because the picture is better.

    Any ideas or suggestions?

  • Krazy Glue question - water soluble?

If I have used Krazy Glue to put something back together and didn't get it matched quite right, will soaking the entire item in the sink filled with water eventually dissolve or weaken the bond to take the 2 pieces apart again to refit them properly?

  • What is the cheapest video card to install to play Alan Wake?

My CPU is a Pentium Core 2 dual at 2.5 ghz each, not perfect but I know it WILL get the job done so please don't leave replies saying I need a Quad CPU or something like that. 4 GB of RAM, Windows Vista Home Premium OS. When I say cheapest I mean within the guideline that the card will be able to handle the game because I know it's a big written game.

  • Can I play the Alan Wake game with this video card installed on my pc?

Nvidia GeForce 8400 GS. I have seen the video card minimum requirements on several websites and they are all different. The other requirements needed that have been mentioned are pretty much all the same and my system has everything else required.

  • My girlfriend's tongue cups into a bowl when she yawns?

You can see the whole underside of her tongue muscle including the frenulum ( the web thing attached to the underside of the tongue ) which becomes so tight it looks like it's going to snap. She says it has always done this since she was a kid and it is impossible for her to keep it down when yawning. We were both wondering what causes this and if any other girls tongues do the same thing when they yawn. What's interesting is that she has 2 brothers whose tongues both stay down but her mom's tongue also cups when she yawns. The 3 of them all have the same parents, their dad left them many years ago but they all three look like their mom. Maybe it's genetics or just a female thing?

  • Preference of Doggie style.?

Why is it the vast majority of sexually experienced women ANYWHERE in the world prefer doggie style? I have read tons of literature that says women prefer intimacy and connection above anything else most of the time when having sex, whether it is a long or short term relationship or even just a one night stand. Yes, I know orgasms are important but do they feel it is the quickest way to achieve that or for deeper penetration? For myself I am a quite a bit above average endowed guy and there have been a several females I have been with who could only take me in this position and yes, that is always after much great foreplay. Personnally for me whether it is a short or long term relationship or just a one night thing, I prefer missionary so I can look into my partners eyes and really enjoy some good tongue kissing during intercourse. Any opinions?
