Hello all,

I m a senior at my X university (I m going to call it X University, for anonymity reasons). I recently applied to a couple of graduate physical therapy programs. I was accepted to a neighboring school, University Y, and declined from my undergrad institution.

A little background: I have a 3.65 GPa, I work at University X s hospital (a lot of clinical experience), and know most of the PT school professors here. UX is a public school that very affordable and more reputable.

University Y is a private institution that I have already been accepted to. It is a smaller school, it s more expensive, and it is notoriously easy to get into.

Even though I m accepted a grad school, I want to forego that for the time being, and replace a few grades to raise my GPA. I then want to apply to much more competitive schools if I can.

Thoughs?

I'm an undergrad student at U of Cincy working on applications for the upcoming PT school deadlines. I'm going into my senior year.

I have a 3.6 cGPA with a 3.4 science/core GPA (I haven't retaken any science classes, a C in chemistry is holding it down). I took a fairly unprepared GRE and got a 148V, 150Q, and 4AW. I'm retaking it tomorrow and hope to improve quite a bit.

I've worked as a rehab aide at U of Cincy Medical Center since December 2015, I'm in numerous clubs and extracurriculars, and I'm a weekly volunteer at Cincinnati Children's Inpatient/Outpatient therapy. I'm also an ambassador for the College of Allied Health Sciences. I have two letters of rec from UC professors (one a physician, on an exercise physiologist), and I'm asking my PT supervisor for one soon. I also have around 500 obs. hours in both inpatient & outpatient settings.

How do I stack up?

3.54 cGPA, >350 PT/OT observation hours, numerous volunteer/extra-curriculars. I work part-time as a Rehab Assistant (PT/OT) at my University s hospital, and I m an ambassador (representative) of my major (Health Sciences/Pre-PT)

I take my GRE this summer, so no scores yet.

How do I stack up? Anything I can do to better my resume? Thanks everyone.

I'm in a very difficult Exercise Physiology course and my (and most of my peers) grades are just alright (B range). As we near the end of the semester, my professor has emailed the class asking for a mere 5 volunteers (out of 80 total students) for a certain task at a certain time. He only took the first 5 responses and upon helping him, gave them extra credit.

The time he posted didn't work for my schedule, so I was literally unable to help, thus unable to get extra credit. He has provided no extra credit opportunities for the rest of the class..

I want to bring this up to him, my classmates and I are confused how he can do this. I'm wondering if this acceptable behavior from my professor or not, and if I should ask him about it or not.

I'd do extra credit if I could!

I work as a therapist assistant. Sometimes the therapists ask me to hold the patient up in bed. Often times the patient has no core strength so I end up doing a lot of the work. It s happened a few times that I ve gotten really light headed from this. With deductive reasoning I believe that this is due to me exerting myself against a (nearly) immovable object, while not flexing any other muscles. I believe this leads to some type of brain hypoxia that makes me feel dizzy. Note: I also get really clammy and sweaty when this happens.

Any help would be appreciated, I understand it may be a difficult question. thanks!

It's about a boy (Hardy) and his fellow Utopian peers. Everybody looks the same, everybody acts the same. Except Hardy. I'm a junior college student (20 years old). I was sitting in lab today when the professor noticed a girl, slumped over on a desk. He thought she was simply sleeping, however, when the teacher attempted to wake her, she was completely unresponsive. He lifted her up and found that she was pale as a ghost, and sweating profusely, all while unconscious. Paramedics arrived, announced that she still had a pulse, but was taken away via stretcher/ambulance. Can someone (doctor, nurse, surgeon) explain to me what happened? What caused this? diabetes?

I don't know why, but every time wear my black yoga pants in public i get ridiculed. one family with young children even told me "ew we can see your penis", and "get your balls away from my children". Doesn't make sense. help?

I m a junior at the University of Cincinnati doing my undergrad (with a hope of graduate school for PT.) I want to start getting my foot in the door in the medical community.

I m wondering: what are some hospital/ outpatient jobs that someone with no (licensed) experience can do for a hospital?

For an experiment I just performed, my assigned energy in Volts was more negative than my reference energy. (given by standard cell potential.) Why is this different. And why is this significant?
