  • Mydog is perfect in everyway except RECALL help..........?

I have a lurcherXcollie who is brilliant, she is gentle with the kids, obedient in the house, still gets a bit excited every noe and thn, but she is still not even 2 yet. She is fine off the lead in the field by us, when it is just me and her or my husband and her. Unfortuantely, once another dog enters the field or she gets a scent, there is no calling her back. We have tried the usual things but nothing. I have been told about spray collars and was just wondering if anyone could recommend a website or a make and model of one of these collars. She has run off 3 times this week. This is the only part of her training that we have come to stop with and need help.

Thanks in advance for SENSIBLE answers.

  • Will it affect our chances of adopting?

Me and my hubby are going to adopt next year. We know that the assesment process is quite intrusive and they will need to ask lots of questions. There is just one thing worrying us. A close relative of ours was convicted of a crime involving a child (I wont go into details), however, he is in prison and the children we have already ahve never had contact with them and are never going to. Will this just delay the assesment process because they will want to know more or will they not even consider us, even though we have lots of love and patience to give and a loving stable household?

Please only serious and realistic answers.

    Many Thanks

  • Am thinking about adoption (UK), does anyone have any experiences or advice that would be helpful? THNX?

Me and my husband already have two children (aged 7 and 5) but feel we would like to 'complete' our family. (Had loads of pregnancy trouble and it is way too risky to be pregnant again). Would appreciate any advice/pointers/experiences that would be helpful. Cheers
