A lot has happened in my life in the past year that has very hard. God gives us trials to learn and to humble us, but I feel like I haven't quite gotten the lesson even though I am trying to and I feel more proud than ever. I find myself judging others all of the time in my head, even though I know it's wrong. I am trying to stop because I have seen what pride can do to people and I feel like it is destroying my relationship with God. I have never felt this way before. What do I do?

I'm taking Geology 101 next quarter and want to make sure I'm ready for it. Is it a math-based science?

During junior high and high school, I had a friend who was never really a good friend to me. She would constantly manipulate the things I said and gossip about me. Whenever I tried to talk to her about things she did that bothered me, she would freak out and refuse to just talk about it (like normal friends should). We had a lot of fun times together, but one day I finally realized that our friendship wasn't worth all of the times I felt hurt by her. During our junior year in high school, I started spending less time with her and making other friends. I didn't want to tell her how I felt because I knew she wouldn't listen anyway. Finally, during senior year, she confronted me about it. When I nicely tried to explain that I didn't think she was a good friend for me, she flipped. She said a lot of really mean things to me that hurt, a lot. I had never felt so mad and hurt before. After that, she hated me and made it a point to make sure everyone knew it, even though I of course did not intend to make her an enemy or anything. Now I am a freshman in college. Even though I never see her anymore, I still feel really hurt from the things she said and I can't seem to move on. Even though I know she will never apologize for the way she treated me, I want to forgive what happened and just forget about it. I still get angry and sad when I think about it (which is a lot, even a year later), but I want it to stop weighing me down. Any advice? And I don't want revenge, I really want to just forget. My best friend recently got a smartphone. I'm in high school and we spend a lot of time together at lunch and during options, and she literally never puts her phone down! I can understand texting someone, but she is always on facebook or tumblr, and she just pushes the refresh button constantly. Sometimes I'll say something and she's so absorbed in her phone she doesn't even answer! I have tried dropping a hint before, like leaving my phone in my backpack, but she is so oblivious. This annoys me beyond belief and I find it really rude. What can I say that won't seem bitchy? I also don't want her to feel bad, I just want her to talk to me instead of be on her phone.

Tonight I am babysitting for a family in my neighborhood, they have 2 kids ages 6 and 8. We always do the same things when I go over, and it gets super boring for all of us! What are some age-appropriate games that I can play with them? I need something that would be fun and easy for them to understand, and nothing that gets them all wound up before i have to put them to bed. Also they are brothers and don't always get along, so nothing too competitive that would cause them to fight. Any ideas are welcome!

I'm a vegetarian and am trying to develop a healthier diet. My doctor recommended fish oil pills, and i am wondering how they are made? Are fish oil pills actually beneficial? Are they harmful to the environment, and if so, how?

My friend is not married, and he just needs a good companion. He loves boxers, and he lives in a smallish house in the city. However, he is a teacher and I don't know what he would do with his dog each day? What could he do each day with his dog?

We have known each other outside of school for literally our whole lives, and she's really funny and never seems self consious when we're together. We haven't always gone to school together, but we now go to high school together and she is totally different at school. I know that she is insecure because she's overweight but at school she is totally serious and gossips all of the time and is completely different! The worst is that she won't go out of her way to talk to me at school even though we are best friends, and she's told me that, but we're in different groups at school which seems to make her nervous about talking to me. I don't have a lot of friends and I'm not in the popular crowd like she is but I'm counting on her to be there for me at school and she keeps letting me down. I want to talk to her but I'm just intimidated and sad about the whole situation so I don;t really know what to do.

I'm 17 years old and live on the Eastside of Seattle, WA. A few weeks ago, I was looking through old art projects and pictures I have drawn when I was little. Because some of them were so funny and cute, I wanted other people to ba able to see them.

I had an idea for a volunteer organization where kid's artwork could be donated and shown for a small price ($5 at most), and this money could go to local charities to help children with disabilities or diseases (the first place I though to donate money to was Children's Hospital, located in Seattle). This could be organized and run by volunteers, especiallly teenagers who need hours for college or just need something constructive to do. I have never done something like this before but I think it could be very effective, please help me if you know what to do!

I have been having very vivid dreams lately and I don't know why! I'm 17 and just finished a very rough year of high school. When i have these dreams i feel like they are really happening and I feel really strong emotions. The first one: I got stung by a bee and started having a siezure and my friend had to stab me with and Epi Pen (I'm really afraid of bees and I have never been stung by one, and i HATE needles). The second one: I walked into my room after coming home, and my close friend, who is a boy, was sleeping on top of my bed, and a TV was on in front of him. (He recently moved to Germany so I have been thinking about him a lot.) The third one: I was playing with a piglet??? These are totally random and I hardly ever dream, so it's wierd!. If you have any psychological information about dreams, please share! Thanks, i'm just curious. :)

I already have two smaller goldfish in there (its a pretty big tank) and they all get along fine, but this goldfish is bigger, probably like 1.5 inches long, and i'm wondering if they will fight. please answer! <3

Es tut mir leid dass ich mein Refarat nicht gemacht habe. Ich wollte es gestern gemacht, aber mein Tag war so schlecht und ich habe es nicht gebracht. Zuerst bin ich nicht aufgewachen weil meine elektronik war aus und ich habe bis 9:00 geschlafen. Ich habe mich beeilen, aber wenn ich bin drauβen gegangen, mein Auto war total kapputt! Ein Baum hat auf es gefallen weil es so windig war, und ich war alein zu Hause. Ich musste mich beeilen, weil ich ein Prufung im Geschikte hatte und ich musste es schreiben, so ich bin zu Schule mit meinem Farrhad gegangen. Es war sehr kalt und es hat geregnet, und wenn ich fast zu Schule war habe ich mich auf meinem Englisch Aufstatz erinnern! Ich habe es zu Hause vergessen, und ich bin zurück gegangen. Als ich fast zu Hause war, hat ein Hund mich verfolgt. Ich habe von meinem Farrhad gefallen, und der Hund hat mich gebissen. Ich bin zu Hause gelauft, und meine Mutti war da. Sie hat mich zum Arzt genommen, weil ich habe so schlecht ausgesehen, und ich habe es nicht gemacht.

I'm a junior in high school and i'm getting ready to apply for colleges next year. my first choice is BYU Utah and my second is University of Washington. I have pretty good grades, my GPA is about a 3.6 and i'm panning on taking the SAT this spring. I also have pretty good seminary attendance (BYU). I have a job and im saving up to pay for it. Do you have any tips about classes i should take or anything like that that will help me get in? Or any information about housing in college? thanks!

soooo i have a lot of trouble focusing on things and stayng on task and remembering stuff. I asked my parents about it and they think it's just because i'm in high school and i'm tired a lot, but i do it even when i sleep enough. it's starting to actually be a problem for me though, for example today i was driving and i saw something on the sidewalk and just got really distracted and almost got in an accident. and i am usually a very careful driver, but i couln't help losing my focus. it's really frustrating because i forget stuff a lot too and people get annoyed at me but i can't help it. who can i talk to/what can i do to help me with this?
