the shop that I get my body jewelry from has stopped making a lot of the 18 gauge ear rings. I know a 16 gauge would be tight but would it fit in. this is for a cartilage piercing

I've never had a problem with my ear rings before but lately when I put them in after a few hours they have some type of drainage, get dry, and sometimes bled. After I take the ear rings out I'm fine.

Where do you buy them?

I used to use peroxide, but it has started to turn my ear rings orange. Most of my ear rings are sterling silver, a few are surgical steel, and one pair is 14k gold.

Say I turn the air off for about 4 hours and then my roommate turns it back on, will this raise the bill up a lot? Would it be different if it was left off all weekend before she turned it on?

I got my ears pierced 14 years ago and have never had any problems before, but lately they have been really dry and one of them has a little bit of brown crusty stuff on it, where the ear ring is. It also started to bled a little. I took my ear rings out a couple of weeks ago, and it looked better a few days ago so I put them back in, but now they are dry again and crusty again.
