Whats with the ram not reading?
My fiancee's comp says it's running 256mb ram. I tried installing 2x 2gb kingston ram and it says system/config is missing. It reads the new ram but wont run it. Is there a way to correct this or do I replace the dinosaur?
2 AnswersAdd-ons1 decade agoA good coffee machine?
Can anyone please recommend a reasonably priced coffee machine that caters for mug sized cups and not those tiny thimble full of coffee cups? Input would be muchly appreciated, thanks.
1 AnswerNon-Alcoholic Drinks1 decade agoHardline versus other muslims?
I've read a lot of Muslims defending their religion and proclaiming that it is good. So honestly, what to the run of the mill immigrant American, British and Australian Muslims think of the hard-line middle eastern believers? I know many Iranians who have left because their own country made life hard. Would you die for your faith now that you're not there?
3 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhy should Muslims hold holidays in Australia?
You come to this country and now you're trying to push your religion? If you miss your religious holidays in Lebanon, why don't you move back there. So now it's picking the holidays... Perhaps Rama dam where people get executed for doing the wrong thing. Sorry, we don't have murdering holidays here. You come here to live the Australian way? It doesnt sound like it. Australian's should be saying we don't want your terror based religion here, if that's what you want to do, then go home and do it.
10 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoRudd, Commie or Muslim sympathizer?
Our Aussie dictator has decided we are all going to eat healthy, reduce salt, reduce fat, give up drinking and smoking and have absolutely no choice about it. Is this because he wants us to be more like China so we can secure trade deals, or more in-line with muslim thinking so we don't get attacked by terrorists?
It is very un-Australian.
Adolph Rudd will take all your freedom of choice and ruin the economy from what I see. Is he dangerous?
2 AnswersOther - Politics & Government1 decade agoIs gay prom queen stretching it?
When gays are so ready to step on anyone else to push agenda then it becomes wrong. They have no thought for anyone except themselves and gay rights are quickly becoming selfish rights.
3 AnswersOther - Society & Culture1 decade agoWhy should sharks be canned?!?
The sharkies have had a bad run. Theyre in financial difficulty. So what? Didnt the rabbits get pulled out of difficulty and are now back in the league? So now we're gonna can every team that has a bad year?
Most of the scandals are about things that have been happening in the sports world (not just the NRL) since Athens held the first olympics.
Most years that I can remember in the last decade, the sharks have made it to the semis. They haven't won a grand final but it's been a long time since other teams have.
Since all the amalgamations a few years ago, the dragons became an illawarra team, not representative of the Southern suburbs of Sydney.
Oh actually I think I'm wrong, I just decided that every time a team has any sort of scandal at all, they should be thrown un-ceremoniously out of the NRL. I'd give it 2 months before there is absolutely no NRL if the media do their jobs as thourough as they have with the sharks.
8 AnswersRugby League1 decade agoWill sharks fans stand up and be counted?
I for one won't be supporting NRL if the sharks fall. I won't be buying LG goods and will specify `No LG products' when I go to buy electrical or computer goods. I'd like to hear other sharks fans views.
3 AnswersRugby1 decade agoIs LG right to dump the sharks.?
I agree with LG's decision to dump the sharks as they are at the point where they no longer need to use that sponsorship to advertise. I am also at the point in my life where I don't need LG products in my house and will be asking for full refund on goods purchased to support my team.
7 AnswersRugby1 decade agoHas the movie industry done it to themselves?
I haven't gone to a movie for a long time. For the price of a movie, I can get 3 weekly DVDs, plus I pay $5 on a 2 for 1 deal on non watered coke at the servo, $2.20 ice, a full bag of pop-corn, buttered from the supermarket under a dollar and $2.20 for some sweats, plus quite a few ice-creams in a tub with a few dollars spent on cones and if I want choc-top, I only need to purchase generic Ice magic for under $2. I can watch it on home theatre providing the same quality of experience plus the added feature of a comfortable lounge to lay back in while making coffee and having a cigarette when I wish.
I see movie makers suing file-share sites and wonder if the price of going to a movie theatre has shot them in the foot.
The price comparison of staying home and watching home theatre and going to the flicks is about $100 more if I want full refreshment at the cinema.
2 AnswersMovies1 decade agoAre modern women control freaks?
They give you the silent treatment, get in moods when things don;'t go there way, brag about how they please men better than other women, complain when we buy them stuff because they want to be independant, then winge when we don;'t buy them stuff. No wonder there are so many guys that stay single and pay for hookers. Less hassle. Todays women are so immature.
4 AnswersOther - Family & Relationships1 decade agoAre the British snobs?
The British deem Australia not worthy of the G20 summit on global economy. We fought for them in two wars and perhaps we should have let them sink there and then. So are thye just toffs and snobs? Should we say they're not worthy of supporting next time they go to war? Should the Queen be banned from setting foot on Australian soil?
3 AnswersGovernment1 decade agoWhere does AFL come from?
For all you true fans of NRL, here in WA they call the greatest game on Earth scratch and sniff, but I'm still trying to work out where the origins of Aerial Ping Pong come from, I can see a bit of soccer, some ping pong, some netball skills are required with a touch of women's volleyball. and perhaps a bit of the old ballet would be required. A real blokes game.
7 AnswersRugby League1 decade agoWhich do you consider more stupid?
A) roundabouts built to provide more safety on the road with a forest growing in the middle so you cant see approaching traffic? or
B) A street that would have very adequate lighting if they hadn't planted huge bushy trees in front of them so you cant see anything at night?

Recently, British Royal Marines in Iraq wrote to Starbucks because they wanted to let them know how much they liked their coffees, and to request that they send some of it to the troops there. Starbucks replied, telling the Royal Marines thank you for their support of their business, but that Starbucks does not support the war, nor anyone in it, and that they would not send the troops their brand of coffee. So as not to offend Starbucks, maybe we should support them by NOT buying any of their products! I feel we should get this out in the open. I know this war might not be very popular with some folks, but that doesn't mean we don't support the boys on the ground, fighting street-to-street and, house-to-house. If you feel the same as I do then pass this along. Thanks very much for your support. I know you'll all be there again when I deploy once more.
Sgt. Howard Wright, 1 Platoon, Recon Company, Royal Marine
Also, don't forget that when the Twin Trade Towers were hit, the fire fighters and rescue workers went to Starbucks because it was close by for water for the survivors and workers, and Starbucks CHARGED THEM! ! ! AN ADDED NOTE TO THIS: STARBUCKS HAD STORES ON SEVERAL MILITARY BASES IN THE UNITED STATES. THEY ARE NOW BEING REMOVED BECAUSE OF THIS.There are 227 Starbucks stores across the UK, and there's no doubt that our soldiers would get the same response from this company, so let us do our bit and boycott Starbucks to show them how despicable their actions are.

9 AnswersOther - Society & Culture1 decade agoWhats good about america?
You have more murder than the rest of the world put together, You are sooooo un-educated about the rest of the world, You have sports that no other country has while you dont participate in international sports, Your troops getting rescued by your allies overseas and then you say what a good job you did, you have rap music culture which is all about drugs, killing and other nasty stuff. You have people sleeping on the streets. Your president is in office purely because of the colour of his skin. You have a society that confuses wealth and well-being with greed. You have to step on people to get any where. What is it about america that would attract me to going there?
