I recently purchased partition software for my computer running Windows XP. Since running the software, I can not get Windows to boot-up. I can get a MS-DOS prompt using my Start-up disk, but I don't know how to start Windows from that. Is there a command to open Windows?

I believe I may need to add more RAM, will that help? What processes are safe for me to end in the start menu or in task manager? I'm afraid I might stop something that is important to keep the computer running. Processes: explorer.exe, svchost.exe (seven listings), McShield.exe, aolsoftware.exe (three listings): These are all running and are eating up the majority of the memory of my CPU.
