I am a single male, live alone and am happy with my situation. My problem is I have some married women friends who just think they can stop anytime and stay for hours. I am old-fashioned and think this is wrong.....If I go out to an event and see them I think that is great but I do not want them coming to my house. I consider them friends but it is getting hard to stay that way because they seem to be taking advantage of a situation. I don't know if it is because I listen to their problems and the husband won't or what it is. I just need it to stop but I think if I say anything they will get angry....in fact I know they will. It is a small town and I really don't want to be called something I am not. I have gone as far as to checking homes for sale elsewhere because I want peace and quiet.

I have seven...eight female friends that think it okay to come to my house anytime of the day or night. They are all married....would they approve of their husband going to a single woman's house like that? It gets old....I like them as friends but not at my house alone. If they would bring their husbands it would be fine. I find that I really have to stress the point that I do not want them at my house alone......then they get angry. Ohh well, I hate to lose them as friends but if that is what it takes so be it. Any pointers? Thanks.

I watched "As Good As It Gets" this last weekend and I realized I had become like that guy....whoever Jack Nicholson portrays. Melvin? I guess I better get help.....lol. What is the name for that kind of behavior?

the economy when my property taxes have risen, my home value has fallen, I was laid off and every other tax seems to be rising or will soon? Luckily, I was not mired in debt to begin with but I have read that the consumer needs to help stimulate the economy...sorry no go here.

I am single and got carried away and bought a large jar...its best when used by date expires in a month. Just wondered if it is still edible? I would have asked my doctor but I get tired of paying for the "educated" advice....lol. Thought I could find better here. Thanks for any help.

Anyway I am very lucky to have lived a full productive life...47 now and still doing well enough to maintain. Alot of Hunter's victims pass very early....teens or younger.

My doctors have praised me for doing so well and working so long. My question is....how can anyone in their right mind ask me for money? Yes, I worked my butt off to get what I have and I have to buy hearing aids, glasses and recently I had to have an angiogram because of a faulty heart valve. I get no help because I make too much money. Yet I have people thinking I am well off I guess. Anyway I have turned away alot of "friends" asking me for money....it hurts me to think that they would abuse a friendship that way. No one has offered to help me and I am getting to the point of moving and living my last years away from the people I thought I knew. Sorry, I had to vent....thanks.

Kiss you....like french kissing in a bar and no one says anything? If I did that I would be shamed or slapped. It happened last night and it was really embarrasing.

some are seven years old but most are three years old. I have a pleco for instance that I bought a year ago. My question is why don't they grow? It is a 58 gallon tank....there is room. I once had a clown loach and gave it to a friend's son and seen it a year later and it was very big. I feed two times daily. Is there a miracle grow for fish...lol?

It seems congress is just as bad. They try to fault the company leaders when they do the same thing. The nation's economy in shambles and they vote raises.
