I would like to paint my front room which already has wallpaper.

I want to paint ceiling, coving, picture rail, all on top of the paper - anaglypta on walls, wood-chip on ceiling.

I do not know what type of paint or brush/ roller to choose, all I am certain is of the colours. I would like help choosing brushes, and any other equipment and also what prep. do I need to do in order for the finished look to be of professional standard.

One source has told me to go for emulsion for ceilings and liquid silk for the skirting boards?
