  • Good coffee for a kurig machine?

I just recently bought the cheap Wal-Mart version of keurig and I really like it. I love the cappuccino flavors and have just started drinking coffee.

I bought the Green Mountain French Vanilla k cups and they taste in after I dump a bunch of creamers and such in it but it does have a bit of a bitter aftertaste.

Can anyone recommend a good coffee for someone who doesn't particularly care for coffee unless it's creamed up?

  • Walmart Bike vs Bike shop Bike?

I am looking at buying my very first new bike and am considering buying the Trek 820 women's bike. I really like it and the price is good. My local bike shop had it for $350.

I was given a Huffy Mt. Echo 18 speed mountain bike. It was bought in 2002 and I did replace the tubes and tires. Rides a little rough but it does work.

My riding consists of around town on the sidewalk, road and some off road trails. I live in the UP so we have a lot of 4 wheeler/snow mobile trails that I'm hoping to try. Going to campgrounds every summer and riding the trails around the campground.

My one question for the community here, is Trek really worth the price? I have heard that it is and some have told me it isn't. What are your thoughts on it. A Walmart bike vs Bike shop bike?

  • Will walking on fractured foot hurt it worse?

2 days ago I fell on a set of bleachers and hurt my right foot. It hurt so freaking bad through the night and the next morning I was in tears as I tried to walk on it. Went to ER and doc said I fractured my 5th metatarsal and gave me a post op surgery shoe to wear and crutches telling me no weight bearing for at least 2 weeks. The next day I wake up and it doesn't hurt so bad until I step on that side of the foot. Is this normal for no pain? Is it going to make it worse if I don't use the crutches?

  • Help with puppy scratching?

So I have a great Pyrenees puppy who is about 4 months old, a 3 yr old and a 5 yr old. My little boy (3yr old) loves his puppy and she loves him. I let our puppy loose through our house with the kids and its not a huge house either so i'm never far away but lately my little boy is coming away with scratches. Not bad, mind you, but enough that it leaves a bit of a red mark and it doesn't bleed or anything but its a noticeable scratch. I'm starting to feel like a bad parent. My kids love their dog and I don't want to pen her up with baby gate in another room but I'm at my wits ends. Its not even the dog's fault alone. what I mean is that

she is normally calm but when my little boy gets too rowdy, she feeds off his energy and gets rowdy too. When he is calm, so is she. He never ever has cried when he's scratched either. I just cuddle up on the couch with him and -oh look, where did that come from- and he always tells me -i don't know mama-. There's no cry or wine or anything. And when i punish her for the scratch or whatever, my son begs and cries for me to release her so he can play with puppy. and this doesn't happen all the time either.

what do I do? keep the puppy locked away. Not in a cage or anything but in our fairly large laundry room. Any suggestions? I don't want my son to be afraid of dogs and right now he loves his puppy more than life itself but I feel awful every time i find a new scratch. what do I do?

  • Tips for a great pyrenees dog owner?

I'm getting a great pyrenees female pup in 2 weeks and would love any tips. I'm also trying to figure out the proper collar size. I originally for a small (8" -14"). Now I'm worried that it's going to be too small. Should I get a medium or no? According to the breeder she will be about 12-15 pounds. I'd also love to have some links on recommended dog foods for her, toys, and anything else anyone might believe helpful.

  • Forgot to add vanilla extract?

I forgot to add vanilla extract to my chocolate cream cheese frosting. Is it ruined? It's for a work party and I don't want to take it in if it's gonna taste like complete crap. The cake is a chocolate cake. I don't think it tastes bad but I will eat just about anything too.

  • How to get over guilt of pets death?

My bird was locked in his cage when my husband and I left for work. We literally have had to use an office clip to hold his doors shut. He has never managed to open them. Today he did. When I got home from work, I found him floating in my toilet. I've had him for 4.5 years. I loved him like one of my own kids and I feel very guilty.

  • Help me find this toy please?

So my fiance has this childhood toy and it's in terrible condition and I'd like to replace it but it doesn't have any specific details so I can't seem to find it. I do know he got it brand new in the early 90s. He believes it had two pups that came with it but we could be wrong. Hopefully someone else might recognize it and be able to help me out. If you have any suggestions send me pics and/or links to the new toy. Thanks.

  • Do you have to go to Church to be a good Christian?

I live in Upper Michigan and I am Independent Fundamental Baptist. There is no church up here that supports that. I have been listining to IFB sermons and reading my bible daily and praying. Doing everything else that would make me a good christian except attend church; Is this wrong? The closest IFB church is 2.5 hours away one way.

  • Would it be ok to give my 8½ month baby whole milk?

So I am just about out of formula and I didn't realize that was my last can. is it ok to supplement with a bit of watered down whole milk? I know the recommended age is 12 months but we started my first kid on regular milk at 10 months. At this time there is no chance to pick any up either. My baby is 22 lbs and does eat solids regularly. It would probably be just one bottle tonight and one tomorrow morning before I could get another can of formula. NO CRITICISM. NO RUDE REMARKS. NO COMMENTS ON ME RUNNING OUT. IM NOT A BAD PARENT, JUST HUMAN.

  • I am always angry over nothing?

Lately I've been feeling angry and frustrated with everyone around me. I'm always snapping at my long time Bf and kids. It's ruining our relationship and scaring my kids. I am having problems with really low self esteem, I get up probably 3 times a night and am still always up every day by 6 with no alarm. I use to take Prozac and it seemed to help. ShouIld I talk to my doc about going back onto an antidepressant again?

  • Quality blue jeans for woman?

I know this might sound silly posting but it is legit and would I would appreciate legit answers. NO picking, NO slandering or negativity.

I am looking for blue jeans for myself. I am about 5' and still have a lot of baby weight. I've had two kids in the last 2.5 years so I'm a little plump. I don't have a lot of spare money and really need quality blue jeans. I haven't really bought any jeans in a while but am working with my maternity clothes till I loose a little of the baby weight. Either way, I'm ready to buy jeans and don't know where to shop. I am the worst when it comes to shopping. I also live up in the Upper Peninsula in a very remote location so the closest stores that i am willing to drive to would be Walmart, Shopko, Tractor Supply, and JC Penny. There is not much up here.

I've bought the more expensive jeans at walmart but they don't seem to last. [I'm pretty hard on my jeans, On my knees gardening, keeping up with kids, chores, cleaning; you name it]. I,obviously need petite jeans in a 12-16 depending on brand. I am willing to spend a little more for better quality but I really don't want to spend over $50/pair. I also have a bit of stomach fat and would like to know what style of jeans might look best on me. PLEASE dont suggest skinny leg. I know that they are suppose to make you look taller but I dont mind being short. I am an avid boot leg wearer. NOTHING but boot leg.

  • Is Blu-Ray movies worth buying?

I have a 48" tv with surround sound. I like having an actual dvd but would like to know if I should just buy Blu-Ray instead. We have an xbox 1 so we have the Blu-Ray player.

I noticed with the few Blu-Ray discs I looked at have a Blu-Ray, DVD, and a digital copy to it.

So what do you all think? Anyone know much about the cost?

  • Breastfeeding and alcohol?

So my baby is 6 months old and he sleeps through the whole night. Last night I did the midnight shift at work and am unable to nap during the day. I have found that if I drink a little alcohol before bed I tend to sleep deeper, longer and wake up feeling more refreshed in the morning.

I breastfed my baby at 7:30 and he was in bed for the night by 8. Right after I had a Mikes Hard wine cooler and a single shot of pumpkin pie liqueur. My baby won't wake up till at least 6 am. Will it be ok to breastfeed him?

How long does alcohol stay in your system to the point of passing through breastmilk? When I went on Google it didn't have a lot about actual liqueur but mostly wine.

Please don't reply back telling me I'm a bad mother. I had 2 drinks and hardly ever drink. It's mostly to help me sleep at night or when I'm really sick with cold/sore throat. And for those of you who say to take a sleeping pill, the pills make me nervous. I've heard a lot of horror stories about what sleeping pills can do to you. And those of yo who might suggest melatonin, I've tried it and it doesn't seem to work for me.

  • Diaper Rash Cream containing lead?

I've heard that some diaper rash creams like desitin contain lead. I've also heard that zinc oxide also contain lead. I also saw something about baby powders containing it too.

Has anyone else heard about this? I don't want to unintentionally give my children lead poisoning.

Thoughts? Is there any other baby/kids products that I should avoid because of lead?
