Large hard pimple on lower abdomen?
This is a little embarrassing, but here goes:
I have a large hard pimple on my lower stomach. I'm overweight, and it's on the part of my belly that rubs against itself. It's close to my pubic region, but not actually part of it (about an inch away from the hair). It seems to have popped, if I squeeze it a little clear fluid comes out. It's shiny looking for some reason. It only hurts when touched and it feels a little hard right beneath the bump.
The thing I'm most worried about is the fact that there is a very large (more than an inch in diameter) red circle around the zit. The curve of the circle seems to be following a stretch mark.
I'm pretty sure it's nothing serious, but I want to know if it'll go away on its own or if I should see a doctor. And if I should see a doctor, when? (I've had this for two days)
7 AnswersSkin Conditions9 years agoBetta fish found in dorm bathroom?
It's a weird situation, but this did just happen.
There is a small fishbowl (like the bowls bettas are sold in) sitting underneath one of the toilets in my dorm bathroom. It looks like a betta inside it. The fish was not moving.
The bowl and water were both very dirty.
I can't imagine why someone would leave a fish under a toilet, but I'm freaking out over should I do anything. If the fish is alive, should I rescue it? and how would I do that?
or should I leave it alone and believe the owner is somehow taking care of it?
4 AnswersFish10 years agoQuestion about Pottermore?
Okay, so I signed up on Day 6, but I have yet to receive a validation email.
Now it's saying that all the early registration spots are closed.
So...did I get in or not? It hasn't been 48 hours since I signed up yet, so I still have time to answer the email if it ever comes. It's just confusing.
1 AnswerYahoo Answers10 years agoWhich of these sci fi villains have a recognizable silhouette?
I'm making plywood cutouts of scifi villains for my boyfriend for paintball targets.
I can't choose which villains would be most recognizable just by their silhouette. I've narrowed it down to 5 villains that he actually knows about, but I can only afford to make 3.
Out of these 5, which 3 would you choose?
Dalek
Cybermen
Borg
Darth Vader
Cylon
1 AnswerOther - Entertainment10 years agoLate period--on birth control?
Okay, so I've been taking Portia since October or November, can't really remember which. Definitely long enough for my body to be adjusted to it.
I have not once missed a pill. I also /always/ use a condom when doing anything. There was one time when the condom slipped a little bit, but stayed on him and it got fixed.
However, my period is a little late, and it's freaking me out.
I had all the PMS symptoms--very emotional, really bad cramps, bloating.
But I also had tender breasts for a short time. Brushed against them and they hurt. That only lasted about a day, they're fine now.
I'm just concerned because I've never had that before, and I don't know wtf is with that.
I know stress is a big factor here--it's finals week, plus I'm psyching myself out about not having a period. I also know that I'm not /really/ late. some months I get my period later than this.
Can someone just please explain the tender breasts thing? And don't say I might be pregnant, because I know that. I want to know other more likely possibilities.
1 AnswerWomen's Health1 decade agoI have sensitive teeth?
My teeth have always been sensitive to cold, but lately they've started hurting from sugar, too. I've been to the dentist and ruled out cavities, so it's really just the way my teeth are.
I know there are special toothpastes and fluoride rinses that can help me, but here is the problem: I am allergic to mint. I have to use kids' toothpaste and mouthwash (although I am careful to use ADA-approved products with my dentist's guidance), so I can't really use a mint-flavored desensitizing toothpaste.
Are there any desensitizing treatments that have no mint in them? Or am I stuck with some sort of surgery?
1 AnswerDental1 decade agohow do I talk to my boyfriend about this?
I don't like my boyfriend's best friend.
She's a girl he went to high school with (we're both sophomores in college now), and he admitted he used to have a crush on her. He says he doesn't anymore, and I do believe him on that.
They hang out together, no one else around, a few times a week, about equal to how much I get to see him.
I have met this girl only once. (I've been with my boyfriend a year.) It was a very brief meeting, he brought me to her work and she said hi. Not enough to know what she's like.
The second time I tried to meet her, she never showed up until after I had left and she was alone with my boyfriend.
I trust my boyfriend, but I don't trust this girl. I don't like them hanging out so often together. I don't like that I don't know her and from what I gather, she has made no effort to try to know me. I would certainly want to know the person my best friend's dating. I'm trying to withhold judgment until I really do meet her, for longer than a quick hi/bye, but it's hard. I don't like her.
How do I talk to my boyfriend without seeming like I'm attacking this girl? All I want to do is meet her and it's been impossible. I want him to know I don't like this.
2 AnswersSingles & Dating1 decade agoWhat do you think of my poem?
I always step in puddles
So when I walk away
I leave a mark behind me.
Why? you wonder.
Why?
Your shoes get wet
And the marks will fade.
I want you to remember
But not to know who I am.
Why?
You're by yourself.
No one wants that.
I'm not lonely.
Just alone.
Please critique honestly!
1 AnswerPoetry1 decade agoI have green diarrhea? should I see a doctor?
To preface this, I have had diarrhea for over a month now. It's a side effect of my birth control pill. I have no discomfort whatsoever, and I still don't right now.
However, it has suddenly turned a dark green. I know this can happen from green food, but I can't think of anything that I've eaten that would cause that. It's only been going on for a little over a day--no pain, no nausea.
I also have a cold now, which I don't know if that can affect it.
How long should I wait before seeing a doctor about this?
4 AnswersOther - Health1 decade agoI need shoe advice? help please?
So I'm going on a date to Olive Garden in 10 minutes and found out I don't have the shoes I wanted to wear with me (I'm in a dorm right now, the shows are at my house).
So I need to know which ones to wear.
My outfit is a black dress, my only accessory is a black watch with silver detail.
My shoe options are: brown Ugg boots, white platforms, black sport flats (which are kind of dirty), or black sneakers.
I know nothing about fashion so please help me. I want to make a good impression.
5 AnswersFashion & Accessories1 decade agoSpotting on period on birth control?
I've been on birth control for a while, this particular pill (Portia) for about 3 months.
Each month my period has been coming later and later and it's been freaking me out.
So this month, I got a little bit of light spotting yesterday, 2 days earlier than I got my period last month. So I was happy and relieved about that, but now it's stopped.
I'm not too worried about pregnancy yet because I'm not technically late yet, but I haven't had spotting on this pill before.
I just want to know if spotting like that is normal?
also, I am sexually active, but we always use a condom as well as backup.
4 AnswersWomen's Health1 decade agoDo I need to have Quicktime installed?
I'm using Windows Vista.
I do not have iTunes on this computer. I'm not really sure how Quicktime got installed.
It's an old version and so slowing down my computer. If I don't need it all, I'd rather get rid of it instead of updating it.
I just want to know if this is a good idea or not.
1 AnswerSoftware1 decade agoShould I quit my job?
I'm 20, I work part-time at McDonald's. I've held this job for almost a year. (started May 2010)
I'm a student, and I go to school in a different part of the state than my job. I can only work on the weekends I come home, which isn't every weekend. The store manager was okay with this.
However, now we have a new store manager who I've never met. For all I know, I could be fired next time I go in because of my lack of availability.
This got me thinking--I'm going to be applying for internships this summer, and I can easily get a job on campus if I quit this one. So why should I wait for this new manager to fire me? I won't be at McDonald's forever.
I don't plan on doing anything until I actually meet the new manager and get a feeling for if she wants to keep me on or not.
I just want to know if I'm probably on the right path here. Or is it bad to quit before I've even done a year there?
1 AnswerOther - Careers & Employment1 decade agoPhone battery suddenly weak?
Okay, so my phone (Verizon LG Env3) used to have a battery life of about a week.
When I moved to my dorm, I forgot my phone charger. To conserve the battery I had, I turned off my phone when I wasn't using it. It lasted half-charged for a week, then it died. My parents hadn't yet sent me my charger, so I used my boyfriend's car charger.
However, now my phone only held a charge for two days before dying completely. This has never happened before. Is something wrong with the battery, or is it possibly my boyfriend's charger?

I'm genuinely curious. So many people know nothing about agnosticism, I want to see if there's anyone who does.
11 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoIs spotting on Junel 1/20 normal after taking it for a while?
I've been taking Junel 1/20 for about 9 months now. I've had spotting a few times, but it seemed to stop, and now it's back.
Everything I've heard is that spotting is only normal for the first 3 months, so I'm a little worried. Is this still normal, or should I see a doctor?
(I am sexually active, but I use a condom along with the pill so there's not really a chance of pregnancy.)
1 AnswerWomen's Health1 decade agoPlease help with quoting in an essay?
I'm writing an essay on a book for my English class, and one of the quotes I'm using has the n-word in it.
I'm really not comfortable with writing out the word, even if I am just quoting the book, but I don't know the correct way to edit it. Can anyone help?

I'm auditioning for 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. I want either the part of Olive or Logainne.
I need to pick a song in the style of the show, but I'm not really sure what to pick.
My current choices are Home from Beauty and the Beast, Ten Minutes Ago from Cinderella, or I Can Hear The Bells from Hairspray. I need some help deciding from those.

2 AnswersPerforming Arts1 decade agowhy could my period be late?
Before anyone says pregnancy, I haven't had sex in 2 months and I've had 2 regular periods since then.
I'm on the pill, I've been on it for about 5 or 6 months.
Right now, my period is about a day late. This is very unusual for me, I'm never more than a few hours late.
This month has been stressful for me--I've recently gone from never having a job to being on my feet 40 hours a week. My sleep schedule varies every night, and I only average about 6 hours of sleep a night. In the past few weeks, I've started taking sleeping pills to help regulate my sleep.
I know that stress can throw off a period, but is that possible when I'm on the pill? or is it possibly some other reason that I'm late?
