  • Can somebody help me delete an AVI file?

I'm on Windows XP. I see a lot of people that can't delete partial files but mine is complete. I downloaded an AVI via torrent and then watched it. Now that I've watched it I don't want it anymore (it's just under 700 MB). I've tried to delete it several times, sometimes I get a buffer overflow warning from McAfee and other times the standard "recycling" message comes but it only says "recycling 0 bytes" and "time left - calculating" and never makes any progress. I've scanned the file and McAfee tells me it's clean. I've also tried to delete the folder it's in too with the same result. Any suggestions? Thanks

  • Hardgainer workout and nutrition...?

Just finished the P90X program and I've seen some good results. Definitely in shape and feeling great. Only problem is I still wanna gain more mass, I'm 5'10" 155. So I'm planning on going through the program with just the weight lifting regimens. The schedule is week 1 Mon- Chest and Back Wed- Bi, Tri, Shoulder Fri- Legs and Back

week 2: Mon- Chest, Shoulders Tri, Wed Back and Bi, Fri Legs and Back

First went through with just the resistant bands, just purchased some real weights and I'm gonna go heavy this time around. But is two days a week of heavy back a good idea? Or should I do legs alone on Friday? Also, I've been readinga bout the 50-40-10 plan for nutrition, 50% carbs, 40% protein, 10% fat. Is this by calories or by grams, I'm a little confused. I'm gonna target about 3000-3200 calories a day. Thanks

  • Diet recommendations for mass gain?

I'm currently wrapping up the p90x program. I like the results I've seen but i used the resistance bands and I plan using weights next cycle and I want to gain more mass. I'm about 5'10" 155 lbs.

    My current diet plan is:

6:30 AM 1 cup egg whites, cup skim milk, whey protein, turkey bacon, flaxseed oil tablet, men's 1ADay vitamin

10:00 AM 1.5 oz lowfat string cheese

12:00 PM 3 oz of low sodium lunch meat on whole wheat bread with mustard, 3 oz canned tuna, fruit serving, diet pepsi

3:00 PM 2 oz soy nuts

6:15 PM 6 oz chicken breast, 2 serving vegetables

Workout around 9 PM followed by 1 cup chocolate milk and another scoop of whey

Now I'm definitely going to increase weight and decrease reps for my second cycle but what else should I do to my diet?

  • Questions & comments about P90X?

I'm currently on 72 of the P90X program and I've been very dedicated to both the workouts and the diet. I have a couple of comments for people considering the program and a couple of questions for those who have completed it as well too. First, I have used the bands throughout the program and while they are a cheap alternative they are also a 'cheap' alternative. It is very difficult and annoying to use the bands because a lot of the movements become awkward and finding the position of the band so you get consistent resistance is near impossible. I even snapped the green one about two weeks ago mid exercise, I avoided injury but narrowly as it whizzed by my face. As I've seen a tremendous increase in muscle definition and strength I haven't seen as much mass gain as I would like. The bands definitely have a low ceiling. I plan on going through the program again with weights after taking a week off after this completion. So, my biggest recommendation would be to get weights, I know they're expensive but you really do need them to get maximum results.

Now for my question... As I said I've been very dedicated to the program. I'm a 5'11" 25 year old male and started at about 165 lbs. I'm much more defined now and down to about 155. One of the main reasons I joined was to get the coveted "6 pack". I now have a well defined "4 pack" but can't seem to break through. I recently reverted back to the "fat burner" phase 1 diet in attempt to burn the 2 inch diameter circle of flab right around my belly button. Like I said, I have the 4 upper abs and even the "V" figure at my hips but can't seem to get to the navel area. Any advice? Is this an area best targeted by cutting calories, adding additional ab routine, or increasing cardio? Thanks in advance.

  • Probability question...?

You have 10 pieces of paper in a hat numbered 1-10. If you pick 5 pieces of paper out of the hat what are the odds that the numbers 1, 2, & 3 are chosen among those 5? I have an answer, but I'm looking for confirmation so you don't have to post your work. Thanks.

  • How do I better circulate the heat in my house?

I have a small ranch house with forced air propane heat. The heater is located on one side of the house by the garage and my kid's rooms are located on the opposite side of the house. Their rooms are definitely colder than the rest of the house at all times. What's the best way to address this issue? Thanks.

  • Does anybody have an idea on how to stop ridiculous answers?

Is there a way that people that use this site for it's practical reasons to band together and get some people banned. Every time I ask a question regarding a SPECIFIC DIET I am on I get an answer regarding acai berry or wu-yi tea. People selling or promoting gimmick products need to be stopped. Especially when it's not what your asking about. I report them every time but to no avail. What can we do to get yahoo! to step in here?

  • What type of protein should I be taking?

My typical day/diet consists of a breakfast of 4 egg whites, 3 pieces of turkey bacon, .75 cup of oatmeal and a scoop of whey with 8 oz skim for breakfast, lunch is usually 3 oz low salt, low fat lunch meat (ham or turkey) on whole wheat, 3 oz tuna, serving of fruit, diet pepsi, dinner is 6-8 ounces of chicken breast with a vegetable and 8 oz skim.

Now, I typically don't get to work out til 9 or 9:30 at night so I don't finish until 10:30 or eleven. I understand that whey is the best after a workout but casein is the best before bed. Which should I take if post-workout and pre-sleep time is the same time, or should I take a combination? Also, if I'm alternating weight training days with cardio days, should I still be taking the two servings of protein on cardio days? Thanks in advance.

  • When should I take my whey protein?

I've been working out regularly, but because I leave the house at 6 AM for work, return at 6 PM and have a two year old daughter I usually don't work out til about 9:30 and wrap up around 11. My regular dieting routine has been one scoop of whey with skim in the morning and I have a glass of chocolate milk with a multivitamin after my workout. I consume a lot of protein throughout the day, (typically 3 egg white with turkey bacon for breakfast, lunchmeat and tuna for lunch and chicken for dinner). I've read that the chocolate milk can be used as a good recovery drink substitute so it's typically the last thing I have before bed. My question is whether or not I should be taking the protein right after my workout. And if so, should I have the choc. milk and protein, or put the protein in the choc milk, or should I just continue with what I'm doing? Thanks

  • How do I fix a door that won't close?

I just bought a new construction house in December. Now one of the bedroom doors won't close (I assume it's due to settling of the house). If you're pulling the door to you to close it the top of the door on the handle side hits the frame before the door shuts all the way. If I pull it real hard I can get it inside the frame, but definitely not all the way to the point where I can lock it. Any advice on how to fix this and what tools will be required? Also, is this something that I should mention to the builder, I don't wanna be too fickle, I've already had him send someone out to fix some minor leaks and I don't wanna have him send somebody out if it's $20 in material and an hour's worth of work? Thanks

  • ceiling fan installation?

I am installing a ceiling fan/light with remote control. There are already two switches on the wall. From the outlet box there is a bare copper wire, a red wire, black wire, and white wire. I connected the green wire from the mounting bracket to the bare copper wire, the white from the receiver to the white from the box, the red from the receiver to the black from the box, and taped the red from the box and left it isolated. The next step says to "pushe the wire nuts and wires up into the outlet box. However, between the gray plastic outlet box and the mounting plate there is about 1/4" of space. I might be able to get 1 nut inside of it, but definitely not all 6. I can't mount the fan because there is too much wiring combined with the receiver getting in the way. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks.

Please note that there is a "standard" and "close-to-ceiling" option. I am doing the "close-to-ceiling" option because it is directly over a bed.

  • New homebuyer tax credit question.?

I purchased my first home in the beginning of December 2008 making me eligible for the $7,500 tax credit. If this new bill passes making the credit $15,000 would I be eligible for the increase? Essentially I'm asking if the tax credit would be retroactive or there would be a new time window instilled? Also I know the current plan calls for repayment of $500 a year for 15 years. Does the new plan call for $500 a year for 30 years for $1,000 a year for the 15 years? Thanks

  • Need help with ceiling fan installation.?

Pretty close to hiring somebody but wanted to check here as a last resort. Trying to install Hampton Bay Ceiling Fan & Light. It is wired so that each has its own switch. There is a standard and a close-to-celing mounting option. I am attempting close-to-ceiling. The first part that is confusing me is that the "Downrod and ball assembly" that is only used in the standard installation has the green ground wire. If i'm not using this what do I do with the green ground wire from the mounting plate? Second, the instructions tell me to connect the receivers white wire to the outlet box's white wire, no problem. Then it says "connect the receiver red (or black) wire to the supply black (hot) wire using a wire nut". Now the receiver has a white and red so I got that but the outlet box has a white, red, and black wire. If the white wire is neutral & the black one is "hot", what is the red one and what do i with it? Thanks

  • What version of the bible should I read?

I'm a 25 year old recently married Roman Catholic. I wanted to read the Bible but it is important that I read a version that is easily understood. I do not want to spend time rereading sentences to comprehend the verbage. I know this may seem lazy but I want to have a version that I could share with my children in the future that will be easily understood. Any suggestions?

  • Should I do this trade?

My RBs are Peterson, Slaton, Jackson, Bush, & L. Washington

My WRs are A. Johnson, Cotchery, Colston, Berrian, & Randle El

Would you trade Cotchery and Slaton for Ernest Graham & Lee Evans?

The league is PPR and we start 3 of each so as soon as Bush comes back Slaton or Graham would sit the bench.

    D) Steve Slaton & Braylon Edwards
