I'm currently a high school senior and am still doing some last minute college research.

For those who live in/around the Portland (OR) area or know about these schools: could you give me a list of what you know about Lewis & Clark College and Reed College?

Like a comparison chart? I know the basics, but I would really like to know what a local (or informant) thinks about them. Is there a huge disparity between the colleges? A "I'm better than you" feeling from Reed (since it's better academically)? Less drug use at Lewis & Clark? Crazier parties at whichever? How far apart are they? Is one closer to the better part of night-life in Portland? Are Lewis & Clark students allowed to Renn Fayre (or do a large portion of them sneak in)? Does L&C have a Renn Fayre-type festival? Are classes at Reed really that much harder than those at L&C? Food? Dorms? People? Prettier campus? More/better clubs? Etc. Whatever you know could be really helpful to me.

I am writing a persuasive essay on gay marriage (for), and my teacher likes it when the students incorporate "personal stories" into them. Anyways, I personally don't know anybody who is homosexual (that I know of:P) that I could interview. Does anyone have an interesting (or not) story about fighting for gay rights (esp for gay marriage)? Or something similar (that could possibly help a persuasive essay on the topic)? If anyone has friends who have stories, please share. And leave your name (if possible), and age.... and any other detail. Short stories, long stories, detailed stories: they're all appreciated.
