  • Am I an Introvert? Or even Anti-Social?

In advance, I apologise for the length I'm sure this will be.

From researching these terms, introverts seem to be shy, and someone anti-social appears to try and rebel against law etc, but I was wanting to know if these are just possible characteristics or if this is what defines them. (Although there's a possibility that I've got this wrong).

I wouldn't say I'm shy as in a situation like a party where I am in a room full of strangers I feel unbothered and I don't really have a motivation to cause any trouble.

However I hate human interaction. I have many people that invite me out, and constantly text, and then for whatever reason calling me their 'best friend' when I just don't care and would rather not put in the effort to be friendly.

I don't mean to sound so rude, and I always make a point of appearing like I'm interested in what they are saying but I would be happy to just leave them and sit alone without company.

Is it normal to hate having to be in anyone's company - even growing up where I love my family but other than knowing they are well and fine I don't want to be around them.

Yesterday someone called me 'sociopathic' which is utterly ridiculous, not to mention hurtful - but now there's a nagging thought of whether my love of not being around people is common?

  • How to ease pain in wrist?

Hi, last night about 11ish, i whacked my left wrist off the door frame, being as clumsy as i am, and has swollen with a large bruise. Normal for injuries, i know. When i asked a teacher if an ice pack would ease pain she said my wrist looked deformed, that the swelling felt like bone, but she isnt a doctor so i just insisted i was fine and that since i can move all fingers and rotate my wrist (although that is quite painful) its not broken.

The swelling is quite solid for the most part but if it was bone i wouldnt be able to move it (surely).

The school nurse thinks i chipped the bone, and my friend thinks its a hairline fracture like one she had previously, but im doubtful.

At this point i dont care if its a sprain or a full snap (which it definitely isnt) but if an ice pack wont work since its been a while, then how can i ease the pain?

Ps, the bruise os large, covers most of the left side of my left wrist, and has small red dots. Tense to move and mild-moderate pain doing so. Other than anti-inflammatry and pain killers what can i do to speed recovery?

Thanks for reading throuh all that

  • Do i need to visit a doctor?

Ive had what i assume to be a bug for the past few days, my guess being simply norovirus from being winter in scotland.

I have had really quick changes in temperature from being far too warm to far too cold, had a slight headache (but im always getting headaches and already receive treatment for so), stomach pains and nausea, during which i have been sick twice.

I understand that bugs are common but now that these 'symptoms' are wearing off, im getting a pain in my chest when i cough or laugh, and the stomach pain persists. There is also a pain in my upper right back, like a straining.

I dont think there is a certain side to which the pain is strongest.

My younger cousin was hospitalised earlier this week with pneumonia from bronchiolitus, do you think this is related?

Im sure its just the after effect of the bug passing away, but just asking to be sure since i dont want to pass anything on to anyone else,

    Thanks

  • Help with essay on cancer?

Im writing an essay in tribute to my gran who died of cancer for entry to higher english, and i was wanting to know if anyone out there could help me, as i was fairly young when she died.

Could anyone give my advice on her cancer -

I know she initially had breast cancer which lead to ambutation of her breast, then two years later she was driving and her vision went in half, where half was black.

When she went to hospital they discovered she had had lung cancer for a while (she didnt smoke) and she was suffering brain cancer.

After one course of radiotherapy the doctors said she wasn't going to pull through.

Thats mainly what i know but i would like advice on how she felt - survival rate, and if possible similes or metaphors to describe her being timid and how i was left in the dark where no one told me it was cancer.

  • Can someone help with maths functions?

I've got a math homework exercise, and i have coped with almost all the questions, apart from one. Im not sure which level this is, somewhere in the middle of credit and higher math as im moving into the higher class from completing the credit course, it is as following!

    8. f(x)= x/1-x and g(x)=1/x. Find in simplest form:

    f(g(x))

    I know that translates to f(1/x)= (1/x) / (1-1/x)

And the answer is 1/x-1. But how do i get there!?!

Thanks for your help! 10 points to best answer!

  • Surds and indices help!?

Hi, i have just started higher math, and we are doing a revision of standard grade credit math, but these questions are the only thing i struggle with! Any help much appreciated.

    √3 x √12

    27 2/3 ( by the way that is 27 with 2 over 3 )

    Then these simultanuoes equations

    2x + 4y = 24

    7x - 2y = 4

    y = 6 - x

    y = 8 - 2x

If you can help with all or any, all helpmwhatever form greatly appreciated!

Best answer will be chosen if you can at least help with one!

  • my cat mis-diagnosed cancer?

a few weeks ago i took my moggy cat belle to the vet, to find out she has abdominal cancer. her symptoms are a lot of weight loss, a large lump, difficulty eating and tiredness.

this vet is the only vet we can get to with no car, so we cant manage a second opinion and we dont have the money for that either.

Suddenly she has put on a very very very small amount of weight and has been eating more and sleeping less. (sleeping the normal cat amount)

please no nasty comments this is a hard time.

any way you can help from experience to a guess but please dont say go to the vet.

    thank you all so much.

  • is my cat stressed or ill, she's going bald...?

after finding out on monday that my cat belle has a large abdomen tumor and not long left, i started to take comfort in her sister, my other cat Tinker and i realised i had being paying so much attention to belle that Tinker has been losing fur. A lot of it. she has a bald spot on her back, inner thighs, under her tail, behind thighs. I cant loose her too, its bad enough losing one of my cats, i need tinker - i think she is the only one keeping me sain - cuddling into me and as if she has got 10x more of a suke than usual. She is also covered head to paws in scabs, not scratches, small dots, and im not sure if its cat fights as she gets in when she wants and gets out when she wants - could this just be cats in heat or as this related.

flea treatments and worm treatment are kept up - extremely good expensive stuff bought directly from her vet (oaks veterinary) so i cant blame that.

Please help me, she is like a child to me and i need her - especially at a time like this..

    thank you.

  • how low can a cat live with an abdomen tumour?

i have just found out my cat, belle has an abdomen tumor. It hurts me badly as she was like a daughter to me - after the vet assuring me she had worms, i put her on a course of worm and flea treatments. From 2 weeks before taking her to the vet she has been losing weight rapidly and losing appetite. The tumor is very large and 'malignant' which worries me. I know myself she wont be here at christmas, but how long will i have my baby. Please give as much detail as possible, as this is the first time i've had a pet since i was much younger, she is part of my small family.

Belle is 8 years old and 2 weeks prior to seeing the vet on monday 17th October is where the symptoms have kicked in. Also if you know any possible ways she can live longer please let me know, the tumor feels about the size of an inch, and directly under one of her nipples. thank you so much.
