  • Why is Cricinfo biased against Suresh Raina ?

I don't know if anyone else has felt it but the way their so called "experts" write up things about Suresh Raina, it's completely unfair and an attempt to denounce Raina each and every time. They maybe the most reliable source for info regarding cricket, but clearly they have got a bunch of amateurs as experts for sure. They deeply overhype flukes, untalented and listless cricketers like Rohit Sharma and Kohli..........yet they don't miss an opportunity to diminish Raina whether he does well or not .For example, they classified some of the strokes he played as "uncultured" !!!!!!

I had even commented regarding this in some of their super-biased reports on Suresh Raina and they never published those comments understandably so . Haven't you folks felt it ? What is your opinion ?

  • Should VVS Laxman & BCCI take legal action against Michael Vaughan?

As some of you may have heard and known, Michael Vaughan had tweeted in "Has Vaseline on the outside edge saved the day for Laxman???” . After this tweet lead to some sharp comments towards him, Sunil Gavaskar landed the sharpest statement against him by saying Laxman & BCCI should take legal action against him and if he was Laxman,he would make his lawyer study the first tweet .

There are two things to look at :- one, Vaughan says it wasn't serious tweet which maybe true...but he should have made it sound more like a joke . Two, Vaughan says Sunny Gavaskar and some others have overreacted to his comment which is correct but they do have their reasons for reacting to a comment that questions his integrity and can lead to some viewing the cricketer in a bad light. The HotSpot,i thought, was the most accurate technology in cricket but alas,it too has it's flaws ! What do you think ?

“I would take Drew MacIntyre under my wing I think. Any thoughts on that…”

What do you think about this ?? good or bad ??

  • Hasn't Suresh Raina proven his mettle?

Suresh Raina once again proves that he is the best young indian batsman and one of the brightest young stars in the world.......Under pressure, tricky wicket with pace, bounce and assistance,Raina shows his acumen and calibre by scoring a classy and elegant 82(unlucky that there was not much support for him to get to a 100)when that waste of space named Virat Kohli, who has only scored with luck, scored not according to the situation and in circumstances where there is no real pressure and against weak opposition ,succumbed and fell to a delivery moving a tad away from his body ! Suresh Raina also proved my point that his fabricated short ball weakness is a myth by playing comfortably well against rising deliveries and scoring as well ! For those stooges who were questioning his selection before the 1st test began and wanted someone like Badrinath, whose already 30-33 years and whose batting isn't upto int'l standards, now will you just SHUT THE HELL UP !!! Those people need to realise that they know nothing about cricket !!

  • Isn't The Rock vs Cena at WM 28 for the WWE title(rumoured) a flawed idea ?

The winner of Royal Rumble 2012,whoever it is,has the right to choose to fight for either the WWE title or the WHC at Wrestlemania 28........so if Cena has the title by that time, the RR winner can choose to go up against Cena....this also means that the winner of RR will be predictable !! what are your thoughts ?

  • Should Suresh Raina bat up the order at no 3?

I know that if he did bat at no 3,then india would never have faced this situation........it's obvious that he's giving chances to the non-regular members of the india because if it was against a side like australia or south africa,he would have most probably come up the order.........kohli should be pushed down to no 4 because he is doing nothing but putting pressure on the rest of the batsmen down the order......Sunil Gavaskar also believes that Raina being the captain should make use of the opportunity to come up the order and bat,not at no 5 .....

  • Was it the shuffling of the batting order that led to CSK's batting collapse against DD ?

MS Dhoni came at no 3 after hayden got out.........what the hell was he thinking ?? trying to get some practice ?? but this was a crunch game and csk hasn't still made into the semis........was he trying to show that he is not scared to come at no 3 when a wicket has fallen early ?? well, this was the first time i saw him stride out to the crease after the openers failed to click.......but he should realise that he's not a good no3 player and it was evident in that game.......this was a game, which if csk had won, they would have been in top 4 due to their NRR........so why push suresh raina, who has been at red-hot form scoring runs with elegance and bravado and coming off a 78* off 39 ,down to no 4 when he has been comfortably scoring at no 3 and combining well with either of the 2 openers ?

  • Was it right to call Warner back after he was given out by a wrong decision on 95 ?

He was caught and bowled by murali karthik when he was on 95........but replays showed that the catch wasn't taken cleanly and the 3rd umpire called warner back....but warner had walked out of the field and according to the rules of cricket,a player who is no more present in the field of play cant be called back even if it is discovered that he was given out wrongly........was it right to call warner back ?? wasn't it unfair to someone like suresh raina, who had missed out on a hundred by 2 runs due to stupid scoreboard calculation but wasn't given those 2 runs or given any such benefits ??
