  • can i join the army with dismissed criminal charges?

i am very interested in joing the army reserves, however i found out that having charges on my record, even if they were dismissed may disqualify me from enlisting. three years ago when i was a club promoter i met a girl that i later found out was under age (16). when i broke all ties with her, she became angry and went to the police. i was charged with endangering the wealthfare of a minor under 17, attempted sexual abuse and attempted forcible touching. at the end of the case the charges were dismissed and the record sealed. i only have a disorderly conduct violationon my record. i am looking for information that can help me. before this, i had never gotten in to trouble with the law nor after.

  • can i join the army with a sealed criminal record?

in 2006 i met a girl in a night club, she turned out to be a minor. i was arrested in 2007 and was charged with attempted forcible touching, sexual abuse, harrasment, and endangering the wealfare of a minor. after a tough fight in court, i pled guilty to attempted forcible touching and was sent to do a program. after i completed the program the charges were dismissed and i walked away with a disorderly conduct violation and the case was sealed. i know im going to have to explain at the recruiting station every thing that happened, but will i be disqualified? i did no jail time, probation or did not have to pay any fines.
