My new novel will be called Appearances and it is about a few things but one part is about an Asian woman who goes to Columbia University in New York and she sits next to a man in a cafe and asks to hold his hand so they don’t look like strangers. It’s to “keep up appearances” because “people are looking.” She decides to hold his hand for a very long time. It is an extreme and humorous look at how people behave in public. I want her to outfit to include a tucked in shirt. What other details would you suggest? Shirt type, colors, long or short sleeves, pants or shorts etc. The novel takes place in early autumn.

I've been making sauces mostly because they're fun to make. I've made sauces with and without mustard, sugar, pepper... depending on if I am making the sauce for myself or someone else who is picky.

Generally, ketchup, vinegar, mustard, brown sugar, soy sauce, Kitchen Bouquet, liquid smoke and cayenne pepper are some of the "foundation" ingredients but I'm into doing variations. Any suggestions?

Will I have to reset my phone number? Will I have to go to the store and have my number installed again? Can I install my number again on my own?

My uncle is extremely out of shape. I do not weigh nearly as much as him but I am a bit pudgy. I can suck in my gut and look slim but if I don't do that it looks like I'm slowly inflating a balloon in my stomach. What exercises would you suggest we start? How many should we do also? His main concern is losing one hundred pounds. I am looking more to lose around forty and tone up the muscles on my stomach. Thanks.

Some college students are sitting at a table, talking. One lady, wearing a sweatshirt with her sleeves pushed up, gets up to use the restroom. She notices her sweatshirt is tucked in. She is annoyed and asks, "How did my sweatshirt get tucked in?" Everyone else shrugs as if to say, "I don't know." She goes in the bathroom and, about ten or fifteen seconds later, says, "It won't come off." Everyone else laughs as if to indicate they don't believe her so she sits down again. The others continue talking while she looks distracted and annoyed.
