Unfortunately, it happened at work. A new hire was in the hallway outside of the manager's office. I was attending a meeting and when it ended I opened the door forcefully and wide, so others could follow behind me and when I did, our eyes locked onto each others. At first I thought he was an ex-husband from 20 yrs ago and I think that's why I lingered a second but realized it wasn't him and moved on. Now he keeps watching me throughout the day and I keep ignoring it as best I can, however he keeps creeping into my thoughts when I'm at home. Yes I'm single, over 50, and very lonely but I have ruled out romance because I'm constantly choosing the wrong type of man. And I definitely don't want a work relationship because everyone is in your business. I figure this guy is probably not even single, (in which case, he'd, again be the wrong type of man). We are not allowed to wear jewelry at work since it is a factory therefore no wedding rings. I once made coincidental eye contact this way years ago on the job but I dismissed it because I was married.(Although it turned out I should have explored it with him because my husband was cheating on me at the time but I didn't know it.) What can I do to stop him from creeping into my thoughts before this goes any further? Does it mean something when this happens between a man and a woman? I know I sound naive but it's because most likely I am when it comes to flirting and romance. Does anyone have any advice for me?

In other words, do they clean the soil or eat organisms like worms or what? I know this is an uncommon question but I can't stand them and my yard is full of them. I want to put down some slug Poison but I'm not sure if I'll do more harm than good to my yard. I kill the ones that get into my flower garden but my back yard is over run with them trying to get at the water and food residue in my dog's bowls. HELP!

I work til midnight and have told and continue to tell friends and acquaintances not to call me early in the morning but they still call around 8 or 9am not wanting anything but to converse. (They don't have jobs due to the economy) Once my phone rings and I'm disturbed, I'm not able to get back to sleep since it's usually and hour or two before my awake time anyway. They were leaving msgs but I put a msg on my machine telling them I'm not taking msgs. If I think it might have been an important call, I'll call back and they plainly see they have awakened me and I tell them again not to call but a few weeks later they will do it again. I don't want to turn off my phone because there might be a family emergency I'd need to know about. ex: I turned it off once and missed 15 calls trying to tell me to get to the hospital because my mom was passing away. (My sis & bros are all in their 50s & 60s so it's a real possibility.) I get so cranky throughout the day when this happens and my work suffers. I feel they think my sleep isn't important. I'm trying not to curse anyone out but I'm on the verge of it because I know they will take me seriously then. I'm trying to live a christian life and don't want to offend God or my friends and fam. What can I do to get them to respect the fact that my schedule is different from theirs?

1st Siberian Husky is 6 yrs old. He's been the only dog for 4 yrs. He's always been great at letting other dogs come over for play dates and sleepovers. Just got a 1 yr old Siberian Husky for his companion. Both males are fixed and are trying to establish dominance. I'd like the oldest to be dominate but I don't think I can control that. Both seem to be alpha personalities. They got along fine at the dog park all summer so the owners gave him to me. Any professional advice? Should I have gotten a female? I know I have to give it more time but will it take lots of time? They don't fight but they are tearing up my backyard with digging and wrestling. Also I separate them at feeding time but one won't let the other eat and when I try to bring the youngest inside to feed the oldest is jealous and acts very stubborn i.e. won't obey commands and acts like he feels he's not loved anymore. I try to show more attention to the oldest to let him know this is still his territory but I don't think I'm not doing things properly. They are playing me by vying for my affection and it's working. Help!

Basically I've been in manufacturing field 20 yrs. and it's breaking my body down. With factory jobs diminishing, I'd like to get a degree in a field that won't be outsourced. I've decided on health care. I have a mortgage to pay plus other debt so I have to earn enough in the beginning to support myself. I'm very intelligent and can do whatever I put my mind to. I have a HS diploma and 12 yrs military veteran. Any suggestions? Thanks to all who help.

I have a coworker who is trying to get me fired although I have done nothing to create this animosity. I've attempted to make friends with her and she pretends to be cool witth me but she comes into my work area and changes the settings on the machine I have been assigned while my back is turned causing it to mess up on me. Sometimes she does this right in my presence. If I attempt to tell her to stop--- it comes to a point where I would have to physically restrain her in order to stop her--- which will get me fired. She doesn't deny having done any of this when the supervisor questions her but she makes lame excuses as to why she did it when there's no reason for her to be out of her own work area. Because of this, the supervisor has told her to stay out of my work area on 2 occasions which she has ignored. Going over the supervisor's head only gets me deeper in trouble because I have no union. The supervisor finds nitpicky reasons to mostly fault me in her presence but agrees with me behind her back. However, I have been told if I bring the matter to her/him again, I'll be written up. Why do supervisors do this??? She has a history (20 yrs) of trouble making and personality conflicts with other employees. I am a hard worker who is never late nor do I miss any days of work. She even disrespects the supervisor's authority by working for other members of mgmt behind the supervisors back because the two of them can't stand each other. She doesn't deny doing that either and the supervisor gets enraged about it--- but there's no consequences. (She has time to do this because she gets the easy sit down job everyday)( medical excuses for not being able to work on machines that actually require work.) Please help me out I can't get another job because of the economy.

I consider myself a fairly attractive woman and keep in good shape but men don't seem to want to get to know me. I dress nice but with class and I see them checking me out behind their ladies backs in the grocery store. Or sometimes when I'm out and about I notice them noticing me but none say anything to me. I smile and keep a friendly disposition but that hasn't helped. I don't like the club scene cause most people are looking for a one nighter.

I believe it needs a front end alignment but dealership says it's the brakes without even seeing the vehicle. Are they trying to get over on me? I think they should have let me bring it in to be checked. Can someone tell me what's really going on?
