13 AnswersConservation1 decade agoWhat hope remains for Mediterranean bluefin tuna?
Catches of Atlantic bluefin tuna in the Mediterranean Sea will not be cut, despite evidence that fishermen caught more than they were allowed in 2007.
The 2007 season saw unprecedented reports of overfishing, under-reporting, catch laundering and fishing activity even after the fishery closed for the season.
This, however, has not been sufficient to urge those responsible for international fisheries management to take strong action to save the imperilled bluefin.
Why is it that big industry and money has precident over the sustainable use of our resources. Do you think the bluefin tuna fishery will collapse like the Cod fishery and The Anchovi fishery in South America did int he 70s. You think that we would have learned our lesson already.

1 AnswerPhysics1 decade ago1 degree C in 100 years is an increase on 2004 average temperature (14.6) of 6.8%.?
People seem to think 1 degree C is not a significant increase. No one is looking at it from a point of view that takes into account the fact that proportionally this is a large increase. 1 degree in 100 years sounds small. 6.8% in 100 years is significant. Its not like we wont notice it.
4 AnswersGlobal Warming1 decade agoThe Earth is Warming Why Deny It. Even NASA, the US government and other western nations believe?
This video from NASA satellites shows the rapid retreat of a glacier.

There are many other examples of how warming is effecting the Earth. Although the cause is still not fully understood if the scientists think that we are the most likely, probable and obvious cause then why don’t we act.
15 AnswersGlobal Warming1 decade agoThe US spends 4% of GDP on defence and nicholas stern suggests it will only cost 1% of GDP to tackle AGW?
The U.S. needs to ensure that its armed forces receive sufficient funding. While funding levels should be determined by needs and requirements, they could be established at 4 percent of GDP without harming the U.S. economy.
6 AnswersGlobal Warming1 decade agoWhat do you think of hunting wild animals. Bear hunting in the US?
Grizzly bears and brown bears are among many animals hunted for sport in the US and Canada. Why these animals should be hunted when they are not used for food and are only hunted for money.
15 AnswersConservation1 decade agoIs Global warming happening yes or no. Is it anthropogenic Yes or No?
I am polling different interest groups so have your say on the topic.
13 AnswersGlobal Warming1 decade agoWho has read this and still doesn't recognize that anthropogenic global warming is the most likely explanation
http://profend.com/global-warming/pages/intro.html
If you have read this and you still art convinced that AGW is a significant and the most likely possible cause of the current global warming phenomena why not. I have read a plethora of data and hundreds of scientific journal articles but this explains it in a way that gets rid of the jargon and seems unbiased. Do you agree.
6 AnswersGlobal Warming1 decade agoWhy are people afraid of science and all too quick to shoot down anything that sounds even remotely feasible?
Blind faith is put into religion why do we not question it so vigeriously when some of the things said in the bible are either appauling or rediculious. Are people scared of those who have more knowlege.

1 AnswerOther - Science1 decade agoDo you find it disturbing that some faiths are teaching a Gods version of Science in schools?
Some schools even have texts books explaining the way god did it. How do they know how god did it and is this made up version of events based on the bible or just invented to keep sertain groups ill informed and thus less capable of making rational desisions based on all the information available.
